@@ChiefSweetsUniverse just a question, What are the widths and lengths of the wooden parts that make up the skeleton? actually we are using metric system that’s why i couldn’t get it
Amazing work man. I’ve been looking for affordable options for my boa who looks cramped in a 75 gallon enclosure and this would be perfect. Love the video. Clear audio, excellent camera work, and making sure to show everything from tools, hardware, materials, and even mentioning where to get everything. Every tutorial on YT should be held to this standard.
I've been wanting to build something like this for years, but for plants as I grow rare tropicals, but most videos are not helpful. I'm autistic and I need to actually see things so I know how to do them and I appreciate this video so much so I can see the actual steps and what you're doing. This is going to be my project for February, thank you so much!

Hmm I don’t think it would be strong enough. Cause beardies do like some wood and if you put wood in the enclosure you will probably have to lean it on the wall and I don’t think it’ll hold.
When you said you were going to paint it with the sams "dry lock" is that the glue mixed with the cement color? So you did 3 coats of white Elmer glue then used the glue with cement color?

Wow! Thank you for this very informative video. You have definitely inspired me to create my own terrarium. Please give us an update! How is the terrarium today?
Amazing video! I’ve been looking around for a long time to find a tutorial kind of video like this. The terrarium looks very lightweight, is it really like that or is it actually quite heavy? I hope it’s as lightweight as it looks cuz I’m tired of all those heavy tanks 😂 I’ll probably make this one for my ackie monitor
Thank you 😊 The wood is pretty light when you add the glass it gets considerably more heavy. If you do acrylic instead it will keep the lightweight feeling
Putting all of these items in my cart for a Home Depot pick up. Would it be okay to skip the Elmer’s glue part and maybe just layer the foam with a grout or something similar? Maybe cut down the multiple days of drying time too?
Oh yeah 100% you don’t have to do the Elmer glue part the grout will 100% look amazing I’ve done it like 4 times now. Drying the grout is about the same though. You need multiple days and have to wait fully to dry and cure.
AWESOME! Thank you so much! I’ve been binge watching your TT’s and YT all day to try to get all the information. Attempting to use the same products so I don’t put something in there that doesn’t do well under the heat.
May I know how much all of this cost? Also a nice video; the majority of people would attempt to make things trickier than it has to be, but you kept it quick and simple.
Great enclosure, Great video... my enclosure came out really nice following your simple steps. What was the measurement of your glass? Sadly im stuck with getting my glass from Lowes. Cant find a custom glass shop near me. I got the 1/4 inch just wondering about the height and length. Thanks 😊
I haven't found a single tank for less than $350 worth buying online, but this looks 100% doable. How's it been for keeping the humidity and heat regular? It looks beautiful but that's my only worry about making it myself
Hey, wanted to say your video was awesome. I was also wondering if you think a vertical type of enclosure would be able to be done. I want to get a couple triangle tree frogs, but I don't want to spend 300 dollars and above for a big enclosure.
Really hoping you see this. How would you change this to accommodate an under tank heater? Really hoping for some good insight here for my Leopard Gecko.
You could get a price of glass at least 1/4 inch thick and use that on one part of the floor so it will allow the heating. Then cut out some blocks of wood so the heat can escape the bottom and that should work
Thank you very much. I washed it with water and dried it out. To dry it out I put it in a pot and baked it on 250F degrees in the oven. Then I mixed it with coconut fiber and organic top soil
This will cost you $328.47 if you bought everything at Home Depot which honestly isn’t bad if you consider how much a 4x2x2 tank costs. Great video really enjoyed the in depth detail.
I think you just inspired me to build my next terrarium. Do you have an update video? Maybe so rocks made from greatstuff that your dragon can climb on. Cheers
That’s awesome hope the build goes great! I do have a update video but the interior of his cage is always changing. Now I have two tree branches mounted across the inside
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse I can't wait to see you next video. Believe me I understand the changes to find what looks nice and what the Dragon will use. We have gotten 2 different tanks and I plan to build mine because I want to mount the heat lamp inside to keep the humidity down.
My son and I are getting ready to build one just like this. How did that waterproof paint hold up? I've watched a lot of different videos and there's so many options

Hey, wanted to say your video was awesome. I was also wondering if you think a vertical type of enclosure would be able to be done. I want to get a couple triangle tree frogs, but I don't want to spend 300 dollars and above for a big enclosure.
Oh yeah I made a chameleon cage with this exact setup but turned it upright. Works great
Great vid! I don’t have the patience to build a beardie tank! Ima buy a 120 gallon zen beardie tank probably tommorow
Heck yeah go for it! The zen tanks look dope
great job on the home awesome job with the video.. i appreciate the simple details that make all the difference
Thank you! Glad you liked it
great stuff is good for gaps but i found that foam board works amazing
Foam board is great too. When I was building this I couldn’t find any anywhere now they have tons. I’m doing a build right now with foam board.
I've built a couple of cages and this one looks pretty good.... great job
Thank you very much 😊
Absolutely love this, if you don’t mind me asking how much did this all run you? Thank you!
Thank you! It cost $250 for every thing
This is awesome! What did you use for the top to hold the lights?
Hardware cloth. Just stronger screen.
Really hoping you see this. How would you change this to accommodate an under tank heater? Really hoping for some good insight here for my Leopard Gecko.
You could get a price of glass at least 1/4 inch thick and use that on one part of the floor so it will allow the heating. Then cut out some blocks of wood so the heat can escape the bottom and that should work
hey.... a very nice video i loved it but....... what did you do exaxtly with the play sand (sorry for my bad english)
Awesome build bro. It looks professionally built from a store
Thank you very much
Hello! Great Video!! Can you list all the wood I would need to purchase for this build?
Amazing build. Do you recall material cost not including the decor?
I believe it was $250
I think you just inspired me to build my next terrarium.
Beautiful love the enclosure ❤ what sizes did the glass measure to? Wanting to build my own before I get a bearded dragon ❤
Thank you so much. 21 -1/2 inches tall and 25 inches wide
This is amazing!! Can I ask how much it cost to build the entire enclosure...glass included?
Thank you everything came to $250
My son and I are getting ready to build one just like this. How did that waterproof paint hold up? I've watched a lot of different videos and there's so many options
Lots of great options this is still going strong no problems.
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse ok awesome, thanks for the update. That seems like the easiest option
Was wondering if you could shoot me a few tips on doing this enclosure but in a corner fit style.. I want a 2ft tall, 2ft wide, corner fit with 2ft on both sides of the corner. It must be detachable so I can move it when I buy a house.. currently living in a rental property.. my bearded is a little under fully grown.
IT LOOKS AMAZING 😍
Wish I was this good at making backgrounds look so good
Thank you very much! It means a lot.
That turned out great! I’m going to use some of your ideas in my build.
Thank you very much. Good luck on your build hope it turns out great!
Do you think it’s be cheaper just to build one? Like buying wood and making it like you? Or should I just buy a premade one?
Depends. I think it’ll come out to $250. However it will be very sturdy. Premade ones are pretty weak feeling
