Had to share this fun fact with you. I was watching a very popular RE trainer who has lots of tips and training for new and old R.E. Agents. He had his students on stage this woman showed her funny video and proceeded to say how much business she got from a funny video. I'm curious so I paused to see how she was doing. She had 23 views and less than 5000 subs. 😳🤔 So long story short I really appreciate your honesty and your willingness to share it all with us.💗
Vacated my EXP Brokeridge after two months. 16 years in corporate America mostly in business development and management. Owned 2 automotive repair shops where we had 100,000 customers in eight years. I’ve been in a variety of different businesses and learned how to adapt quickly. One persons humble opinion I vacated my EXP brokerage after 2 months. I’m now with a well-known branded company as individual agent where I can be in an office around like-minded people being in the environment of real estate. With the EXP realty I was working from my home and had not been in real estate before attempting to learn a business without being in the environment and learning the context of real estate I perceived as a giant disadvantage. There were numerous red flags for me one of them was when I created a website and while utilizing KVcore training I received inaccurate forwarding instructions on how to forward my new website domain to my EXP realty website. It took four hours to figure out what was going on and why the instructions weren’t working it was because The instructions were not correct. The instructions being incorrect wasn’t the problem the fact it took four hours to figure out why they weren’t working is the problem because learning the context of a new business requires interaction and availability with people that can quickly answer questions to problems. I found that not to be the case with EXP realty.
G. C your problem was pretty simple.... You didn’t join the right network and align with the right people. But in all fairness, everything isn’t for evwrybody🤷🏽♀️
Chauncey Pham You’re correct, On the surface it looked like the right network because I joined the downline of acquaintance friend Who happens to be One of San Diego’s most successful and well-known brokers. When I joined the downline my perception was that I was aligning myself with a very capable broker, I was not part of his team yet part of his downline which created another series of small problems. The broker was great the people at EXP Realty were great ultimately me trying to learn real estate as a lone individual from my home office going online for training and attending caravans was not going to be enough Immersion into the business. My opinion is just one of many obviously there’s other people other experiences. Best in 2020.
Vincent T. It required 7 days a week 10 hours a day. Always treated my employees the way I would want to be treated. For instance one day I had one of my employees Go to his toolbox produce a machete and attempted to cut the manager in half I’m not kidding. I really liked the guys I had working for me but I felt I had less rights as the owner then they did as the employees. Customers, it wasn’t unusual to be threatened to be killed, have my business burned down, People lose their minds and scream 4 letter bombs in my face while they posture up acting like they’re going to start a fight. I ran an honest business but what you find is there are enough people who will create false circumstances to try to get free stuff and are willing to do anything to get a business owner to capitulate to get them something for free. Been to small claims court many times and DO NOT get fair treatment. Being a business owner you find out that local, state and federal government entities are out to take money from you through a variety of permits inspections and fees. I also was threatened with criminal prosecution by the state of California when I would not agree to extortion. . Lastly true story I had one customer attempt to Leave without paying Actually tried to run me over hitting me with front Toyota Tacoma going 30 to 40 miles an hour that was a felony assault and battery. My shops were in middle class areas I was just done with the drama and the headaches. Oh also bonus if you didn’t 2x check all your 20+ vendors banks and all your subcontractors somebody(s) would find a way to steal me blind. I wish everybody would have to own their own business for a year they would have a completely different idea about business economics government and people it would make them wiser, more mature and realistic about the world that we truly live in.
Michael Stawski just had my 1st closing as listing agent, $1.2 million with multiple Offers, 2 back up offers, sold 4.8% over list price. Yes my former business experience was a deriving factor to this but without mentor working closely with me this transaction would not have gone as well as it did. Dozens of occasions were I needed quick answers about the entire documention of the transaction, standard negotiation practices in Real Estate many other factors. In EXP I RARELY COULD GET A RESSPONSE TO A SINGLE TEXT MESSAGE. That was from a very strong Exp brokerage. Clearly just my ONE experience does not conclude EXP poor business model. Probably better for experienced agents not new ones.

I have a question about regus office. I just need to scan, print and make some copies for my documents. Do I have to pay for all day regus office rental to use scanner and printer? or just walk in and pay for my copies and scanning documents only? Im confused.
Junk Food Man Channel Regus is FREE if you use their common areas. They usually always have a workspace separate from the individual offices and you’re able to sue that for free anytime during their normal business hours. Their copiers are kind of like FedEx where you pay at the machines for what you need.

I am in the process of getting my license and looking into different brokerages, can you tell me why EXP is not a good start for brand new agents? So far the information I am looking at through different brokerages EXP has the most to offer. So please tell me why I should not do this. Thank you.
The business models seems to be like a pyramid scheme! Is this kind of business model being encouraged in eXp Realty?! Or, can an individual agent do their business according to their pace?!
Amy Falcon Pyramid schemes are when folks are paid for simply bringing others into the company and they’re basically paid from others’ sign up fees. EXP simply shares the revenue they bring in from Real Estate sales from folks that you refer to the company. And the only thing encouraged is selling houses🤷🏽♀️.
Chauncey Pham I’ve been watching everyones take, “pros & cons” in You Tube postings! It seems that there are two ways you can earn revenues from eXp, or, do both! One is selling houses, and, one is through recruiting agents! Just like any marketing business that thrives in recruitment! Due to this model, this companies are often regarded as practicing MLM which is synonymous to pyramid scheme! Recruiting agents is the main purpose of RUclips postings to gain revenues from the eXp model I would assume. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Of course my channel is used as an agent attraction tool, but i don’t recruit. Period. If people find value in my content and reach out, we can talk strategy about their business(es) and if they want to join they can. I build relationships with agents all across the country with my channel and have built an agent referral business as well! Folks from all over send me their DFW buyers and sellers. It’s literally “attraction” which is the very principle that I’ve built my business on and can be applied to all aspects of the business. I also get lots of clients from my channel. Just closed a $390k property last week from an out of state buyer that found me here. So my channel serves multiple purposes🤷🏽♀️

I have a question about regus office. I just need to scan, print and make some copies for my documents. Do I have to pay for all day regus office rental to use scanner and printer? or just walk in and pay for my copies and scanning documents only? Im confused.
Junk Food Man Channel Regus is FREE if you use their common areas. They usually always have a workspace separate from the individual offices and you’re able to sue that for free anytime during their normal business hours. Their copiers are kind of like FedEx where you pay at the machines for what you need.
I will start my real estate course in March and finish in April. Working in real estate will be totally new to me. Would you advise someone with no experience at all to start off with exp?

The business models seems to be like a pyramid scheme! Is this kind of business model being encouraged in eXp Realty?! Or, can an individual agent do their business according to their pace?!
Amy Falcon Pyramid schemes are when folks are paid for simply bringing others into the company and they’re basically paid from others’ sign up fees. EXP simply shares the revenue they bring in from Real Estate sales from folks that you refer to the company. And the only thing encouraged is selling houses🤷🏽♀️.
Chauncey Pham I’ve been watching everyones take, “pros & cons” in You Tube postings! It seems that there are two ways you can earn revenues from eXp, or, do both! One is selling houses, and, one is through recruiting agents! Just like any marketing business that thrives in recruitment! Due to this model, this companies are often regarded as practicing MLM which is synonymous to pyramid scheme! Recruiting agents is the main purpose of RUclips postings to gain revenues from the eXp model I would assume. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Of course my channel is used as an agent attraction tool, but i don’t recruit. Period. If people find value in my content and reach out, we can talk strategy about their business(es) and if they want to join they can. I build relationships with agents all across the country with my channel and have built an agent referral business as well! Folks from all over send me their DFW buyers and sellers. It’s literally “attraction” which is the very principle that I’ve built my business on and can be applied to all aspects of the business. I also get lots of clients from my channel. Just closed a $390k property last week from an out of state buyer that found me here. So my channel serves multiple purposes🤷🏽♀️
