  • The first generation of Iga Swiatek's tennis racket was introduced in 2021 after Iga's surprising win at Roland Garros 2020. This racket is completely glossy and it not only looks like pro stock, but it plays like pro stock. But what about the real weight, balance and swingweight? Let's find out in this quality control video.

    It is a good racket to customised . I added lead at 12, 3/9 and a leather grip.

    It’s a good racquet, but I still prefer the feel and spin performance of her previous Prince TT100(290) over the TF Iga 298.

      I agree, what string, gauge and tension do you use with the Textreme Tour 290?

    • @jerome_morrow
      @jerome_morrow 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@jlparcerisa I use a hybrid of Hyper G Soft 1.25 (50lbs) in the mains with Ghostwire 1.22 (48lbs) in the crosses. It’s a comfortable, relatively soft poly set up with good tension maintenance and excellent bite on the ball for spin.

    I actually grabbed one of this first gen colours. Beautiful looking. It came with a leather grip too bringing the balance to 31.6 with overgrip and strings and a total weight of 335g.
    Since you have had some experience hitting with this racket, What string would you recommend for it?
    My go to string has become the Black Code but i have a packet of Signum Pro Hextreme 1:20. I'm tempted also by Ice Code.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  10 месяцев назад +1

      I've tried the Ice Code couple of times but never got used to it's low powered elasticity. Ice Code is for big hitters mostly. You have to go hard with this string and then it will reward you with excellent lenght of the balls. But it lacks the free power and feel. That's why I like Black Code, it is a more lively string with huge bite on balls, good comfort and tension maintaince.

    Racket is great, just not sold grip 4 :(

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 года назад +1

      Just buy the grip 3 and put two overgrips on it like Rafa with his grip size 2. Or try it with 1 overgrip only and maybe you will find out, that smaller grips are better for todays modern tennis.

    Does iga temp or aero 98 have more power serve if same spec

    Do Technifibre grips run smaller than other brands? I use one fourth (2) in other brands shall I buy three eighths in Technifibre? Right now they only have one eight in tennis warehouse. Until end of October that’s the only grip they have.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 года назад

      Maybe just a tiny bit. I use grip size 2 + 2 overgrips (0,6 mm + 0,4 mm). It is no problem if you want to use overgrip(s). If you don't want to, I recommend buying a grip size 3.

  • @christiansantfournier2794
    @christiansantfournier2794 10 месяцев назад

    With the peculiar shape of the tecnifibre grip, should I stick to my usual size 3 or go up or down a size?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  10 месяцев назад

      The stock grip size 3 is ok if you don't plan to use overgrip. If you use overgrip, I recommend the Tecnifibre Contact Slim 0.4 mm that will maintain the shape and feel of the stock grip size. If you use thicker grip, it will become too cushioned and soft.

      @@CzechTennisGuy Thanks for the reply. So what im understanding is that a Tecnifibre grip size 3 feels slightly larger than a regular size 3. From my experiance HEAD is the opposite. Size 3 feels like size 2 on Babolat or Yonex.

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  10 месяцев назад

      TF grip size 3 is correct, feels ok. Head feels the best, it has the most edges and feel. Wilson is ok. Babolat is ok. Yonex is the biggest and roundest of them all. Size 3 feels like a 3,5.

    For spin is iga or tf 40 305 better?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 года назад

      I think they are pretty similar in terms of spin. Iga will be a little bit quicker and that means you can generate more head speed and rotation. But TF40 305 is more stable and has maybe better precision just a tiny bit.

    How it is compared with TF Tfight 300 RS ? Didn t like the feel on that one nor the slices, launch angle, unusual, too high for a 98 sq inch rachet

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 года назад +1

      From what I remember when playing with the Iga racket almost 2 years ago, it was pretty demanding for a 298 g racket. TFight 300 RS is definitely easier playing racket with better spin and power potential. But the control and precision is better with Iga racket. It's always about what you want from a racket and what you expect. And sometimes it's good to give the racket second-third-fourth chance and maybe you will find it's positives little bit later.

    Technifibre just copied her Prince racquet?

    • @CzechTennisGuy
      @CzechTennisGuy  2 года назад

      I don't think they copied the racket. They created a unique racket with some typical technologies and frame construction, that came from Tecnifibre. Of course Iga Swiatek for sure discussed with Tecnifibre what she needs and expects from the racket, but it's not a copy at all in my opinion.
