He didn't kill junichi while having sex. It was someone else. Junichi died in a Sabbath party and there Koda probably got possessed. He misses Junichi
I think that you didn't get the idea that Akira even as a kid had the ability to empathize with other people and feel their deepest emotions even if they are not aware (even Ryo's emotions at the very beginning).

And that is a very important part of the plot. And he isn't a crybaby coz he was a wuss. He was too empathetic
@@thesmilingtitan that's exactly why he decided to not follow Ryo's plan, since he was able to feel that he still have human feelings.
Akira probably change his mind and understood that he was also a devilman at the bigening in the locker when he started to cry. It was not just a demon so he changed his mind.

Murase Ayumu, who played the role of Asuka Ryo, is a Japanese Seiyu who was born and raised in the United States.
His English lines are better acting than other Japanese Seiyu.
Atleast because of this the English lines don't sound corny. And it's good that they employed English natives to voice people from America

Hahahahahah at 25:00 was me and my friend back then. We were on schedule. Watching one episode per day. Because we don't have much time. She was in EU and I was 6 hours ahead in time zone. It's always very late for me when we were watching. But episode 6 and up was a non stop train to episode 10 lmao. The cliffhanger. Can't take it.

I guess it's such an odd choice by the anime to have them be so similarly designed plus a plot point that becoming a devilman slightly changes your appearance that they just don't question it, and they probably also forgot all about Koda's intro at the beginning of the series. I am bothered that they don't even bring up how in their minds Kukun has a whole new backstory involving a boyfriend though.

I'll always criticize this episode as Ryo's plan is pretty objectively evil, and Akira's justification for going along with it is super unclear. Just seems to be because he trusts Ryo in everything and doesn't think, but I don't get how Ryo could even defend his plan to Akira in any way other than creating chaos. Like what good could possibly come out of exposing demons to the public? Did the original plan involve having Koda massacre a bunch of people? Because then it's even more confusing why Akira would go along with it. Maybe it's to raise awareness on demons, but I don't think Akira would accept letting innocents die for such.
i don't think the original plan involved Koda murdering everyone. I think what Ryo told Akira is, "This guy is a demon he needs to be exposed and then you can kill him" but here, he probably changed it to be much more gruesome, and profting his agenda more. That scene where he clicks the button and opens the gate to release Koda for Akira to kill him was probably suppoused to happen sooner. But then this is just my speculation since it's only my first rewatch of this anime and i might have missed things.
@@thantnwe7691 exactly. He tells Akira that Koda will transform, the gates will open, he will leave and u go kill him. But ryo wants to spread the most fear and not let anyone think it was special effects so he goes against the plan and locks the door until the end.
yeah, the original plan of just exposing the demon is dumb on its own. i guess akira really did trust ryo with all his heart

Aren't we all here to witness that ride? Like Made in Abyss, and the Beserk read through, the upcoming episodes will break them. But when they can pick themselves up and give us their thoughts, opinions, theories on why devilman has left a scarring impact upon numerous people in the positions of creating narratives in the modern day. And how Devilman Crybaby will do the same for those who wish to enter the field of storytelling like in the past.
