Everyone getting on Lane’s case when Lane is 1) just a teenager with very little experience, and 2) someone who’s always loved Dean and Rory together. I think there’s a little room to forgive her for indulging a little bit here.
I mean, the info was juicy and at least she wasn’t judging or lecturing Rory. But still, even with her little experience, lane should’ve known at least that her friend being with a married man might hurt the person he was married to, Lindsey. She could’ve helped her friend out more by telling Rory to put her foot down with Dean that unless he left Lindsey for good that she cannot in good faith continue the affair with him. Rory doing that would be protecting herself from getting even more entangled in that situation and she’d be better able to tell if Dean was serious about her.
I kinda understand everyone’s confusion tho,. I didn’t expect her to be so happy that this happened lmao., I thought she would be happy for her at first and then kinda dial it back after remembering that Dean is a married man lol
Nah. At that age you still know married guys are off limits. If anything for the sake of the wife. He breaks his word to her, he'll break it with you too. Seriously, what kind of person do you think doesn't understand that?
Rory and Dean having sex at Ms Patty's is an ironic reference to the season 1 episode "Rory's Dance" where they stopped at Ms Patty's on the way back from the Chilton dance and accidentally fell asleep which made Lorelai and Emily freak out when they saw that Rory never came home the next morning. How ironic it is that the thing they were worried may have happened back then is actually happening now at the exact same place😃🤣😄😅 By the way it's hard and inappropriate to have sex at a ballet studio which doesn't even have a bed
@@raneembakhurji519 nooo they didn't. it was supposed to be terrible but since the show is kind of from lorelai and rory's viewpoint i guess the music sort of implied gross irony or was supposed to be sort of sad/disappointing.
The is just so frustrating to watch. Scenes that could so easily add more depth and more seriousness to the show just end up being comedic crap. Lane is Rory’s best friend; someone that she’s known since childhood. She’s almost like a sister to Rory. Instead of treating the situation like it’s a really serious matter she’s smiling and asking for the juicy details. She’s saying things like “Dean loves you” and asking if he was nice during Rory’s first time and where they did it the second time. Like WTF how hard is it just a treat this situation like it really matters. This isn’t like Rory and Dean are still in high school and she slept with him while he was dating another girl. He’s married to another woman and Rory is basically becoming his mistress. This isn’t really something that I would be smiling about. Rory is clearly coming to her friend because she’s freaking out and she needs some advice and perspective. Even when she’s asking Lane what she should do Lane just shrugs and says I don’t know just go talk to your mom. I nearly lost it when she said that because the whole reason she came to Lane is because she’s not comfortable with talking to her mother at the moment. Lorelai and Rory are obviously really close. But Rory already knows how her mother feels about what she did and she wanted to talk to someone else that she is close to. I’m not saying that Lane should berate her friend and make her feel even worse but she could have provided some stronger support. To be honest I felt like she cared more about Zach touching her Drumset than her friend having sex with a married man. It’s like the writers kept trying to distract us with comic relief and that is definitely not what we needed from scenes like this.
I agree!!! It pissed me off how Rorys character just kept crumbling from this moment to AITL. Even the idea of stealing the boat and sleeping with Logan while his fiancé is planning to move in. The only time she was even a little bit mature was season 1-4 and season 7. They failed her. and yeah I realize this is a fairy tale lmao
They were definitely still too young at this time. Dean married too early. And Lane... Well, Lane has no experience in life to be quite honest so she is swept up with the idea of kissing and Tory's first time than to realize the repercussions and morality of what Rory has done. The lesson I guess in this whole thing is that they are all too young to be making huge decisions in life. For Dean it was marriage and for Rory it was sex, especially knowing Lorelai's experience.
