Going on our 3rd year of full time RV living and still love it! You were one of a small group of RUclipsrs we followed before getting started and we’d just like to thank you for all the great advise.
I bought mine not to long after your video and I still have mine and I’m a full time camper as well. My hose is still working as good as the day I bought it.
This is ALL perfect as I have been researching electric valves etc as Europe has a lot of new drive over emptying services of grey and black water on RV motorhomes! -Nice video!! ☺ .
It's a feature of the Waste Master hose system. Comes with cam lock versus bayonets style fittings. See here - ruclips.net/video/exRfeJxmcwU/видео.html
I've never used a honey wagon myself and now I have my own by using the macerator to pump waste into a 36 gallon tote in the truck bed. But, with the camlock to male bayonet adapter the output can be quickly converted back to a regular bayoneted hose connection for honey wagon.
Since I'm a full time RVer and constantly using the black tank I don't have to flush it out very often. Usually I give it a good flushing every month or two. To do that I use my trailers built in black tank flushing system. There is a water hose flushing hookup next to the city water hookup. www.loveyourrv.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/No-Fuss-Flush-Diagram.jpg Inside the black tank is a spray nozzle. I also have a flexible tank rinse wand I shove down the toilet. www.loveyourrv.com/flexible-rv-waste-tank-cleaning-wand-demo/
I really like the system and leave it connected in the wet bay. The problem I have is that I have problems with the hose extending. I can only extend a small section at a time and often it snaps back even then. Almost as if it’s a strong spring. It’s particularly bad if the temperature is lower ( moderate not freezing). Have you experienced this? I had to buy a separate extension to get up to 16 ft in total with the 2 sections.
Something is very wrong with that. Are you sure it's the same brand? The beauty of this hose is it doesn't snap back. It stays at whichever distance it's opened. See this clip of me demoing it ruclips.net/video/UrJNupzqeR0/видео.html Maybe you have air suction happening. When you pull it open, crack the end valve slightly to let air in.
@@LoveYourRV good point on the air suction. That’s a possibility because I keep it attached and closed at the tank end and don’t open the sewer end valve until I have it in the dump. I’ll try that
I'll stay with the traditional hose which for me gets replaced every 2+ years or so unless of course it gets sliced by a weed eater. I've been FT for 7 years

Wow that review was 7 years ago? Holy crap times flies.
Excellent, great work w/the pic in pic editing. Very helpful info Ray. Everything you ever wanted to know about sewage removal and then sum.

Thanks for the review!! Good information. Good to know it holds up for so long. Worth the money I'm guessing.

Where did you get your cam-loc fittings? I like the idea of using those and trust them.

Had my extended gray valve tube break again on the extension, what a POS. they use a carter pin to couple them up and it breaks there
What connections do you use for a honey wagon? Changing these to connect can be a pain.

With the hose permanently attached, how do you clean/rinse out your black tank after you dump it

Hope the works for you, just make sure to hold it up a bit so nothing dribbles out then when extended close it again before lowering it. :)
