What you did to your grey tank valve, I did to my black tank valve. For the life of me, I couldn't get that back together after taking it off to clean. That made life much easier. Thanks for your video!

I ran into the same problem with the removal and installation of waste valves on opposing waste tanks. Valterra makes a short coupling that I used to install the valves but am completely satisfied that I got a substantial seal. It doesn’t leak now but haven’t tested it on the road yet. I’m curious where you found a 3” dia. piece of rubber hose? It would allow more flexibility than the valterra coupling. Enjoy your channel. Thanks, Ted

Home Depot and other hardware stores sell many different sizes of rubber plumbing drain couplers www.homedepot.com/p/Fernco-4-in-x-3-in-PVC-DWV-Mechanical-Flexible-Coupling-P1056-43/100372297

Thanks for answering my question. On my GD Reflection I need a coupling with more flexibility. Think I’ll check out inner tubes. Thanks again.

I have the exact same valves in my GD Solitude which (knock on wood) have been working flawlessly.
Have you ever tried using Thetford drain valve lubricant? I'm curious if the stuff actually works or do I need to take them out when all I'm after is to lubricate the valve. (No TP jams)
    As always Ray... Great video...

I've never tried it. Might be worth a shot. My issue is with clogs every once in a while. I think it's mostly due to the trailer design; I had to mount my valves on their side versus more vertically and I dry camp using the macerator pump. I don't get the normal flushing action that gravity dumping with a 3" pipe allows for. Cheers! Ray
