I add a tblspoon of butter so I don't have any foam on top of berries as they cook, hope it helps you. 💖💖🙏🙏💖💖

I love jam, but never understood how anyone could save them - I eat all fruit ASAP off the bush/vine. It never makes it indoors.

We do this in the Uk too. I picked a bunch and brought the jam to my mother. 🇬🇧

It's been a very dry year in the UK but the blackberry still thrived unlike most other bushes/crops.

Love wild blackberries. I have to admit though that you guys could have used less sugar if you had opted for using pecten, and therefor had much more healthier jam. My ratio is that I use 200 grams of sugar for every 1 kilogram of fruit. So for 5kg of fruit i use only 1kg of sugar. Anyway, enjoy your wild blackberry jam! 🙂

I used the ratio for this jelly but took the temperature to soft ball for candy making ~230 F and that yielded a thicker texture. Not gelatinous like how it would be if you used pectin but also not soupy. It made for easier application on to bread and cheese and such!

That music. It's from a movie. I want to say seven brides for seven brothers. Or like the theme for a TV show.

I’m going to make wild blackberry jam this year. I never have before. Do they gel up pretty well without pectin? It seemed like it did from your biscuit shot. 😊

It ended up a little runny, but still tasted good. I think if I get to make it again this year I would strain it to get rid of some of the seeds

Intro too long. And music too loud. Boring. How long do you need to watch berries being picked. Surely you could give tips as you are picking the berries ie which are best, does the soil they are in affect the taste, what not to do etc etc. So boring this video.

That pan scraping is crazy. You put theatrical western music to picking & preparing, then drive your viewers nuts with pan scraping. Get some wooden utensils for crying out loud!!!
