I wonder if the word mutiny will be said in this episode

    Episode thoughts:
-Jay S running the premerge is so reminiscent of Abi Maria randomly running the premerge votes in Survivor Cambodia. You wouldn't expect the people on the tribe to follow in the strategy of the crazy person but somehow it just works out for him?
-I got some strong aitu 4 / cook islands mutiny vibes from the all returnee tribe
-Jess robbed - one of the last remaining dynamic newbies left. the rest of the crop are not nearly as exciting to watch (except maybe Jay S, Tony)
-Is it just me or does Andrew come off really flat and boring?? But he gets a lot of screen time with narrating the season, which makes me think that he's either just really good at confessionals or he makes it to finale (and wins?!?!?!!)

sheeeeesh, Eggroll & Mike last week and Jess this week, that mutiny advantage is seriously top tier and led to some great drama and horrible decisions.
Jay S creating this super scary returnee alliance that might not even really exist is amazing, props to him.
could the newbies actually run this game? i’d be a fool to count Katie An out but the returnees are gonna be fighting an uphill battle especially if they lose next challenge

Well what a chaotic episode. The Mutiny Advantage was played and it's the returnees vs the newbies. Sad to see Jess get voted out, I was rooting for her in the first episode. Jess was truly a delight and brought the best scenes and confessionals. The Immunity Challenge with the foot challenge had the edge on my seat and I was happy that the Sababa Tribe won Immunity. I love the new twist for the next episode of the Merge. It looks like the Tribe Swap Advantage is no longer in play according to next week's episode. I hope we see more of Morgan in the next episode but I'm glad we got some scenes with Michaela. My favorite scene in this episode was Tony, Katie, and Andrew on Spring Break.Sam was hilarious at Tribal Council and I was bursting into laughter. I'm looking forward to next week's episode.

Wow! Fantastic first 7 episodes. Finally started this all up last night and I really wasn't expecting to watch 7 hours today but oops. I really want to see Katie An take this. I kinda like Jay S as an over the top character on the newbie side. I also find it funny seeing mergatory happen in Survivor Maryland a good 4 years before US survivor adapted it.

I hope Katie or Eric win
That said am I the only one that likes both Jay S and Doug too?
I understand why people hate Jay S personally he’s one of my favorite villains this season

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode. The subject of this episode will be the Mutiny Advantage. The question will be will the Mutiny Advantage be in play in this episode or not. With Mike Madonna voted out at the Majesta Tribal Council, how will Eric "Egg Roll" survive. I hope we see more of Morgan in this episode and also Sam in this episode as well. Also, will Miranda use her Tribe Swap Advantage in this episode or not? Tune in tonight for an exciting drama and twists.

Last couple weeks have been awesome and momentum is up for this season to be one of the greats! Thoughts on each contestant in order I think they’re likely to win (mostly edit because I can’t turn that part of my brain off)
    1 Katie
Every returnee and Andrew/Tony consider her their number 1 alliance. That’s 6/12 of her opponents in a hopefully fluid merge. Love her confessionals roasting all these people who earnestly want to work with her too. Not tipping off Andrew/Jess of the mutiny seems like her only big mistake so far, very curious to see fallout between her/Andrew I assume at the start of tonight’s episode. I’m thinking he probably told her right before as a little passive aggressive revenge for the winik vote. I could even see her working with any of the non Jay S majestas. Might be confirmation bias because she was already an all time fav, but I think she’s on her way to cementing herself as the college GOAT
    2 Jacq
Episode 1 checklist is probably what’s keeping her so high, would be kinda cool imo if that was misdirection and she’s blindsided mid merge as a front runner. But she’s a main character and the game positioning is good. Even Eric came back to her after their hilarious one sided fight, probably the most alliance approachable person in the game
    3 Jay S
The character is controversial but what he pulled off last episode flabbergasted me. When maquad laid out their flashcard mutiny plan but I think he got it done with his biggest strength, putting in the time to meet with people. And in those many meetings he does seem to do good work. The playing dumb in the phone call scene with Sam a couple episodes ago was some of the best survivor acting I’ve seen. It’s more likely than not the ego and character get too big and he gets chopped down, but if he does bulldoze to the end I think it’ll be impressive enough with this cast he wouldn’t lose to a bitter jury
    4 Eric Eggroll
He has easily the most entertaining underdog storylines so far through this premerge, and we know what that means in a Maryland all stars season, but what’s stopping me from putting him higher is even if he doesn’t win I think his story would get the same focus because it’s so entertaining of course it would. The way Majesta looks at him is a tough place to start with a jury too but I’m excited for what he’s gonna bring going forward
    5 Dylan
I think he’s getting more of a big player edit than a winners story but biggest returnee character bump by far goes to Dylan for me he’s been hilarious in confessional when I remember him to have been a lot more serious in season 6. I like the way he laughed off the trauma of season 6 where none of his allies wanted to work him him. He’s become the true spiritual successor to his buddy Evan with his snarky humor and if I squint shades of AU Simon too
    6 Andrew
He’s been a bigger strategic presence than Eric & Dylan but with the way we’ve seen his naïveté to Katie’s scheming I think we’re set up for his downfall at her hands. He’s been all over the edit but Anders has done a great job this season having the relevant players to each week run the edit and Andrew’s decisions dictated a lot of Sababa. It was encouraging for his game this week tho that he had the real relationships with Fish/Michaela and also of course Tony to leave Katies shadow this week, but I also hated the Jess move. She was locked in with him and Sam doesn’t know his name 💀. I have less game faith in him than his roommate next but even tho his premerge has been misguided his likability/protagonist edit leaves an underdog back half run open
    7 Tony
He’s been a little quiet in the premerge but set up as a power player, and in times of pressure we see glimpses that he’s a chaotic one too. Even tho maquad kinda pagonged, he was ready to flip multiple times at tribal council. He’s the worst positioned in maquad since his partnership with Jay S seems mostly for show, but his depth of story will is sure to come with Katie & Andrew. Theres been a lot of little moments that lead me to believe Tony for whatever reason got sick of Andrew as a roommate to the point of quiet resentment, so curious if thats a right read and will bubble over into poor man’s Victoria/Foluke drama. Also even though I really think Katie wins, I think if she loses it will be because of Tony
    8 Miranda
The quietest early in maquad but her storyline has picked up steam as her no-nonsense personality has emerged and finding advantages becomes her thing. All of maquad has played a great premerge, but she gives me more King vibes as a relevant good player whose dry humor doesn’t pop as much as most the cast on screen and therefore for tv purposes hopefully the game doesn’t play out into her winning scenario
    9 Fish
I’ve been laughing to myself all season that Fish hadn’t dared to utter a name all premerge, but he had the gall to throw his weight around a little this week and he mutinied himself away from being the next out to having lots of options and better allies than I assumed in Michaela and Andrew. As a freshman who seems to not put enough time into the game to be a power player, he’s made solid decisions when presented with them, and as lame as the turtling strategy is, his explanation would explain his absence in the edit so I can give him a slither of a chance
    10 Doug
I’m not a Doug hater but this where the list starts drawing dead. OSU time and change 3s spoilers ||reminds me a lot of Autumn where playing a semester after a months long game where you’re playing deceptively and irl drama seeps in you’re just not going to have the emotional/mental capacity to run it back dirty again and not just play a loyal feel good game with friends|| I think he’s by far the most likely merge boot with Dylan foreshadowed to hold onto his idol. His biggest short term positives are the newbies don’t have the numbers to split and they might target someone less obvious. And mayyyyybe Eric hates Jay S more than him now, but long term I don’t see any runway
    11 Sam
Edit wise we seem to be getting everything Sam has been giving us, but I believe that’s because she’s fun. Game positioning I don’t think it’s possible a jury ever votes for her with her current the game. It would take both her watching a season to learn the basics, and her starting to take non stairwell meetings, and I believe her that she has better things to do with her time.
    12 Morgan
Something something didn’t bark. Of course she’d be more present if she won, but I believe this is true to life and she didn’t do much noteworthy in the premerge and will be entertaining as hell with a big edit when her time comes in this merge. I was briefly worried the newbies target might fall on her to avoid the idol this next vote, but Morgan getting so little actually makes me think she’s safe for a while or else I think Anders would’ve gave her much more so far in a similar way Jess got so much early because we needed as much of her character possible
    13 Michaela
She has the legacy advantage! And people want to work with her. I just don’t think she ever considered putting some tv pizazz into her confessionals and just answered Anders like a questionnaire. I’m hopeful she can be a bridge between Jacq/Miranda and Katie

I kinda hate the fact that I gotta respect how much control Jay S has on this season... might be crazy but tonight Jay S reminded me of Todd from Survivor China. Like I would not be surprised if Jay S gets to the end to tell the jury exactly why he picked his alliance members.
I have a feeling we'll see the eliminated player again in a future season, they had way too much screentime for someone voted out so early. I like them. They just didnt like the rest of the cast as much.

Yelling “Spoilers” as I abandon ship
-This is the burliest College pre-merge Ponderosas I’ve ever seen: Mike, Winick, Faith, Messiner, Sherry…they could legit win tug-of-war against some CBS pre-merge squads.
-Adding to Eric’s legacy of constantly coming up short, his two starting tribe colors are the Minnesota Vikings’ colors.
-Spring Breakkkkkkkk two notables I think are Jay S not aware of Andrew’s connection to the returnees and when Andrew’s V.O. says “the two most dangerous players are Doug and Dylan” the camera is on Katie and Tony.
-Sam/Eric is such a great pairing as they’re similar personalities in similar spots but an alliance would never work out and they’re constantly playing each other.
-The lead-up to the mutiny was well-done, someone is definitely trashing their game. If I’m a newbie Sababa why would I want to defect to the tribe that always loses.
-Jay S is a really fun player to watch because he’s operating at 180% and there’s some legitimately good stuff in there but he often gets in his own way.
-Mutiny! Returnees vs Newbies! At the surface this seems like a terrible move for Jess and Andrew, but I guess they were scared by the prospect of a returnee alliance. We’re guaranteed a spicy tribal either way.
-Damn that might be the most I’ve ever been invested in a college Survivor challenge, I was rooting so hard for the returnees and Eric and Doug worked together to beast their tribe to victory. Tony was great in that challenge too; how did Majesta lose so much?
-The mutiny was a great change of pace as the newbies were so deadset against the returnees but now their gears are turning against each other. Maquad really proved their strategic dominance over New Sababa in this episode.
-The new tribe really saw the rise of Fish and Sam as key players in the game; they both started out as first boot prospects on their respective tribes but both might make it deep.
-Morgan might’ve replaced Michaela as the most invisible person on this season; I’d be out of it too if I’d just played in Major Conflict.
-I’ve never really thought to look for this before but you can tell from Jess’ body language in her confessionals that she recently got voted out. By being eliminated and passing on the Legacy Advantage to Michaela, she finally fulfills her promise of helping out a female player.
-This was a fantastic pre-merge; it lacked a big fiery, centerpiece tribal (Faith?) but the main story of the super newbies is very strong and there’s also compelling individual narratives like Katie and Eric.

    Dang...
Hate to see Jess go right before the merge. Especially since she was the one newbie outside of Jay S who actually pops on screen. Except you know... Jay S is just a lot... But I have to hand it to Jay S, he really did run this entire episode from start to finish. Honestly, the premerge was mostly his show. I'm fully on team returners They're just more likable on screen and come off less gamebot-like. Katie the mastermind. Eggroll the underdog. Doug the "nobody trusts him" so he's hanging on for his life, Dylan the alpha guy, and Morgan is there too lol.
I really hope Jay S gets knocked down a peg next week. This relationship of Katie/Tony/Andrew keeps getting mentioned and I don't think Jay S is fully aware of the connection. It's probably the one thing he isn't in the loop on. But as someone who has also edited these shows, sometimes we put things in because we can! Not because of edgic.
I wouldn't be shocked if we finally see an idol play. There will be fewer targets on the board so a better chance for Dylan to use it correctly.
I'm curious if we're going to see Jacq emerge a bit more. I feel like Miranda has been driving this relationship narratively these past few rounds. She's the only newbie left in my opinion who I could sit back and say "I'm happy to see you win". There's a lot of game left though.
Honestly props to Sam for her scene with Eggroll. It was kinda badass to watch her make him feel comfortable.
It's a massive uphill battle for these returners but I still have hope.

    .
Jay S telling him to trust him based on a mutual target on Doug is pretty funny after Eric had said he even trusted Doug more than him lmao
Sam !! if only this was real
    SPRING BREAKK
hmm I don't know if this is smart for Jess and Andrew, though I understand Jess being concerned she'll be the only one left and not being sure they'd vote Dylan or Doug out... Jess worries me specially bc it seems like JS is good with Andrew
no cause when I first watched major conflict I was like aha what if Doug and Eric aligned that'd be crazy just like Jun Alison and kept going with that until Eric got voted out so both on the same team winning immunity feels dedicated to me... what could've been
miranda with another advantage ok !
nooo JESS NOOO :( Andrew I don't think this is a good game move... I mean JS seems to trust him but I feel like if they go to tribal again Andrew would be the guy to get out there, though Tony probably wouldn't, hmmm.... i have no idea if they could do that tribe swap thing and choose everyone they want in it like they said, i don't remember if it worked like that.
props to JS for that actually working, i have a feeling based on confessionals that there might be some JS vs Katie stuff in the future.

Wow, great episode! That Mutiny was super fun to watch. Don’t really love how Jay S and others talk about Sam, so I’m hoping the returners have a strong comeback and get their revenge. At the same time it doesn’t seem like Sam’s head is fully in the game so it’s sad to see Jess go, I think she had a lot more to give.
