When Wendy had that accident they had to rebuild her face, the chance of not singing the same was high, by a miracle and really hard work by Wendy and her team she pulled through.
Yup. My reason for her being my Ult Bias is not strictly because of her vocal abilities (because she melds with the group so well...). It's actually because she got back on the horse.
She came back in a BIG way, but she did not HAVE to come back at all if she did not want to. She could have started writing more songs, she could be a Vocal Coach, she could do Arranging of songs, she could Produce... She could have retired, or gone off to do whatever else she ever wanted to do.
But she LOVES her fans, so from her perspective, she had to come back. We really need to take all of that hard wrk into account. So, yes, BRILLIANT vocalist (I put her up there with Taeyeon), AMAZING dancer (being best friends with one of K-Pop's BEST Main Dancers can't hurt at all).
All of that just pales in comparison to basically having to go through her trainee days all over again, just to get back into shape; she really did SO MUCH WORK for us. I bet she REALLY feels the weather when it gets cold because of those injuries.
When this Rain Stops and Like Water is her story. A message for her fans who supported her during her horrendous ordeal. Can you imagine the strength she has to recover from her injuries, having her jaws wired shut, come back and sing like she can and dance amazingly as a top level idol.
She is very popular in the west due to her fluent English but in SK, all the other RV members hold their own in popularity. With their pure vocal talent and beauty, they are totally on another level.
Watch her shine as another superstar artist along with Seulgi in Got The Beat, “Stamp On It” and “Step Back.”
Every duet she performs, with John Legend, Eric Nam, Son Tae Jin……is miraculous.
Wendy is generally considered to be the fineat female vocalist out of the entire 3rd and 4th generation of Kpop.
