SNSD's ballads along with their earlier pop-rock sound are the heart of their discography for me. They are what makes SNSD feel like home.
SNSD’s ballads are so touching. They are very emotional and have such beautiful meanings. But there is just something about their older ballads that cannot be explained. The rawness, less processed vocals, and harmonies just creates a magical atmosphere.

This song is a favorite of not only Japanese fans but also Girls' Generation members, especially Tiffany. In this music video, the scene where Sunny's smile spreads to everyone is unique and not found in other music video. Girls' Generation's ballad songs are not limited to Japanese songs, but Korean songs are also very beautiful. In addition, 'Indestructible' is also a famous ballad, so please listen to it.

SNSD is just one of those rare group that is pretty much A class in everything. They are not S class in dancing nor vocals (excluding TTS)... but nobody can deny that when they sing together, it's magical. Their music, their sound, their choreo, their visuals, their individual personalities, their collective vibe when they're together talking smack and having fun with each other... 15 years later, I've yet to come across another group that is so unapologetically themselves as much as SNSD have been.
How many "reality" shows have they been part of? GG goes to school, horror movie factory, hello baby, dangerous boys, soshi tamtam, etc... Spanning over a decade, never once have we seen any inconsistency in how they act when the cameras are on or off. This is why SNSD's legacy have lasted for this long. They are not acting cute, they are cute. They are not acting poised, they can't keep it together long enough. They are funny, they are clumsy, they are savages, and they're not afraid to show it. They will always be SONEs' forever legendary dorks.
They aren't S tier in terms of dancing nor vocals skills like that, but as a whole and in general, Girls' Generation is SSS+ tier.

Well, in all honesty.. there is no such thing as an "S" grade group in KPOP.
No one is perfect and not everyone's singing, choreography, or even direction in artistry is someone's cup of tea. The whole point of Girls' Generation was to compete w/ rising boy groups and to give the Korean audience their multi member girl group, suitable to anyone and everyone b/c again, everyone in GG is unique & different.
Jessica's voice gives flavor to every snsd song. her harmony in the choruses makes their music distinct and unique from other groups
Glad you're diving back into SNSD again. Really recommend their older ballads and live performances. I know your tastes well, you will likely enjoy Not Alone, another japanese track on the same album as this song as well 👍 I still also recommend TTS - Babysteps and TTS - OMG, two tracks right up your alley.

I feel snsd jp discography is a 10/10 really their music there was definetely the best of best , all the songs are perfect! I love how in the JP songs you can notice mostly in ballads though that the girls harmonize a lot and we have a lot of couples singing lines and the combination sounds so beautiful
