So good to hear you speaking about crystals and the harm mining them makes.The people who are exploited. It breaks my heart to see how cheap they are on Internet. How many "witches" pushing the story that we NEED 100 specific crystals.When I was young we had an understanding not to buy crystals. I have been given many that are beautiful. But I don't engage with the grab everything "witchy" one can buy.Bear in mind what our ancestors used;being Irish I doubt they were using Brazilian amethyst! ❤
I was fortunate enough to spend summers with my granny in western North Carolina (in the US) which is the source of many natural gemstones. We used to find them easily on her property & she was very knowledgeable about gemstones, herbs & local Appalachian folklore. . She passed several years ago. I treasure the stones I have & use them often in my craft because they are my connection to her.
💯 I never understood the obsession with this - and especially practices harming nature or others,wl while one follows a path of nature spirituality 🤨 if I use stones, then it is the ones I find around here 😊

Terry Pratchett is by far my favourite author. Excellent suggestion! My favourites (so far) are Reaper Man, Wyrd Sisters, Lords and Ladies, and A Hat Full of Sky.
I am currently reading Wintersmith.
He certainly had a brilliant view of witchcraft among so many other topics.

I knew from a early age that I was different because I was so connected to the earth. I spent my youth almost every day in the forests of West Virginia. My soul is very close to nature, knowing is just knowing.
More people should learn about the fact that the rusty old folklore books contain much, much more witchcraft fun stuff than any other new witchy book, no matter how profound and praised! Also - leave it to the Germans to describe and categorise stuff! This is one aspect, which makes me trully regret not learning that language. And, of course, thanks for the shoutout! 🥰

I've really been trying to focus on my self care and getting in touch with nature. I take my pup on a walk every morning, and I've been making sure to so it bare foot. I've been sitting and listening to the wind through the leaves and the birds, the different sounds of the city around me...😊 it's helped me a lot in my practice. ❤ thank you for speaking on this. It doesn't have to be perfect or one way.

I was so chuffed when I heard you say that Terry Pratchet inspired you. That's exactly what happened to me. As soon as I started reading the witch ones I knew that I wanted to be like Granny Weatherwax. Sadly I think I'm more like Nanny Ogg, lol, but it got me back to paganism again, which I'd been into when much younger. I loved hearing your Q & A, Bex. Oh my goodness. I love that you mention the witches from Terry Pratchett. I'm actually doing some writing currently about Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax and them being one of my principal witch inspiration. They are so practical and they roll up their sleeves but also can travel through the mind of a crow. Love it.
Also agree wholeheartedly with your stance on crystals. Well done for sharing this important reminder.

Like Aurora said it is hard to self promote. I've had a channel for a couple of years as an adjunct to teaching about witchcraft. I'm defintely in the crone phase and since at heart I'm a teacher, doing RUclips gives me another way to share my accumulated wisdom on witchy spirituality, magical practices and spells. I rely a lot on seasonal magic, moon phases, herbs, ancestral magic and folklore. Bex your videos are always beautiful. And I love hearing you share your personal views in a Q & A.

I find myself agreeing with you and identifying so deeply with the way you approach manifestation, spells, mantras and practise. I always felt a bit lost and like a bit of a dilettant because I have a very secular approach. Thank you for representing a craft that isn't seen very often.

I'm a 7 as well. I am a happy person and tend to focus on the good things happening rather than the tiresome things happening in my life. I find negative people very draining so i tend to avoid them. Your videos are brilliant and always positive x

Oh thank you so much 😅 I usually try and avoid washing my hair too much. So only every 3-4 days. As I have natural Wales and curls I use a curl Shampoo and a tooooon of Conditioner 😄 and that is about it

Hey i am really sorry for being kinda late with this question but i am a wizard (like, male witch) and i am working on some witchy projects to make like songs and lullabys with magical qualities like ones that make you be able to lure people or animals to you, and drinkable potions that give you boosts of health stuff like energy to run faster. Now is that witchcraft cuz some people told me i am not a wizard (i am calling myself wizard cuz i'm male) and that i have no idea in the practice. I just want to make witchcraft more than What it is. How are us witches and wizards gonna be respected and not seen negatively if we are not advancing our practice? Well main question is: Am i doing witchcraft or something else

Well I don't think witchcraft is anything new to me because I was born in a family that did witchcraft maybe they were witchcraft in the 1800s I don't know maybe I was in this life I had deja Vu before but I'm interested I mean I'm in good spells not bad spells I don't want to do evil on anybody enhance myself spirit I guess spiritually❤❤❤
Darf ich fragen wie du dich beschreibst abseits von RUclips, statt das Wort Hexe zu verwenden? Weil ich mag den Begriff auch nicht so gern verwenden für mich weil 1. es sehr fiktional klingt, 2. Hexe eher mehr für Frauen verwendet wird hab ich das Gefühl (aber Hexer würd ich auch ungern verwenden) und 3. Ich denke dass viele Leute darüber lachen wenn man den Begriff verwendet. Deshalb wollte ich dich mal fragen, wie du es stattdessen erklärst? :)
Ich hab mich mal als Paganist oder Naturgläubiger bezeichnet, da ich viel in Richtung Natur arbeite (ähnlich wie auch Druiden), deshalb fand ich es auch sehr passend.
Versteh dich da voll in allen deinen Punkten. Also ich geb dem Ganzen eigentlich gar keinen Namen - ich umschreib einfach meistens die Sachen die ich gerne mach 😄 und die Leute wissen dann schon von selber in welche Schublade in Ihrerm Gehirn sie mich am ehesten stecken 😅
How many languages can you speak/read?
German, English and Dutch fluently. Spanish I can understand complete but have the grammar of a toddler 🤣 some other languages I can understand fairy well (Italian, Polish, Swedish)
