Trapped under ice sounds like some epic power metal. Just imagine a high pitched heavy vibrato voice coming in "YEEEEAAAHHHHHHH Its my dream to ride on the wings of a dragonnnn!!!! Take me to the new kingdom in the skyyyyyyy!!!!"

2:58 I noticed a headache coming on... This literally hurts to listen to. Not trying to talk trash Ben, you nailed it. My brain just can't process this lol
Wow, that is a seriously warped version of Call of Ktulu. All the darkness just evaporated. This is so much nicer! I'm sure everyone appreciates the kiss at the end of Fade to Black. (Thanks for the fun video)
Learned the fight fire intro on acoustic. Took me forever but I love to play it any chance I get it's so melodic and peaceful. the calm before the storm so to say.
I taught myself how to play guitar to this album, and now it sounds like Reo Speedwagon and Trans Siberian Orchestra had a baby...I think a little part of me has died this day. You should do Pantera CFH next
I haven't had such a huge grin on my face for a long time. You should take that show on the road. I love the heavy guitar contrasting with the happy sounding melody. The facial expressions helped too. Could you do Iron maidens Number of the beast next?
Knowing the key changes is one thing...getting your hands & brain to play songs you've heard for decades and have probably played "properly" thousands of times each in that different key has to be one of the hardest things you can do on guitar. I'd feel like every time there was a position or riff change my brain would want to default to how it is "supposed" to sound lol - Another excellent job Uncle B!
That is seriously the most amazing thing I've ever seen on RUclips I'm rolling on the ground laughing that is incredibly fantastic wow!!!! I listen to this album every couple of days it's my go-to metal album and this is the funniest thing I've ever seen is literally made my day wow!!!
I dunno what it is about your playing ben, but everything you play sounds good and precisez even when you're just bouncin around on stepdads lap, it sounds great, good job figuring out the structure right for you, making practice become not stale and the perseverance. You make everyone's days better!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Seriously!
Didn’t realise this album was so rhythmic. The music doesn’t miss a beat at the start. I want some punk covers of trapped under ice and the song after it.
Completely amazing an complete comedy all rolled into one!!! It literally dont get any better than this! Lovin every minute of it!! Go ben go!!! Awesome!
They sound like such happy tunes. This is why I got my first Ibanez, I thought all the Metallica riffs I played sounded too happy on my Fender Strat. And I love Strats so much I got a GRX40
The Fade to Black solo made me really smile since I practice that all the time. :0) A lot of the rhythm parts sound distinctly Metallica regardless of what notes you play, so cool to separate out the rhythm from the tone ans see what sounds Metallica, and what doesn't. Finally the Call of Ktulu was epic. You could play that in a different context and most people would have no idea.
Thanks for watching Metallica’s Ride the Lightning Major Key!! What other major metal catastrophes do you want to hear next???

Exploding Rainbow sounds fuckin sick tbh
I was waiting for that comment
Exploding rainbow?
I bet this was 100x harder to play, since you want to hear the original
Fade to black intro solo gave me the most uplifting anxiety I've ever known
Ross Strang it made me sleepy. It’s a good lullaby
sounds almost like Dream Theater lmao like maybe Black Clouds era?
So that's how you describe that feeling...
Sounds like the happy ending to a kids game just before it's revealed you haven't won yet and the villain has a second boss phase
@@DasOmen02 yes ,like the Tuscany...
Just like a true uncle, you've managed to ruin my childhood. Thanks Uncle Ben.
Fade to Black in a major key is like eating cereal with beer instead of milk.
I could see this being a LoZ track
That’s a way to start off another shit day on this planet.
Its the ballad Blink182 always wanted to write but didnt have enough talent to

Ben Eller: what if Ride the Lightning was all Major Key?
Dragon Force: Damnit Boys, they figured out our formula
Nice 😂
Then there’s Reaching Into Infinity.
Everything is either really happy or depressing.
Ahh. Escapism.
Soooo Dragonforce xD
It does sound like intro music for an anime

Lol
it’s funny because Satriani taught Kirk

Live! Live! Live! Live!
This is hilarious and mustve been so hard to learn wrongly, going against years and years of muscle memory.
Call of Ktulu sounds like Journey lol
I was eating when you showed the drum part during Creeping Death and I almost choked. Thanks Uncle Ben!
Spit coffee 😂
Were you eating Uncle Ben's rice and sauce by any chance?
The first part of Call of Ktulu almost instantly reminded me of Pink Floyd's "Us & Them".
The second half of the song gave me strong Van Halen vibes.
I can see cthullu gives a warm welcome to explorers, with fine meals and hot tea.
Dude! You're right!
Every heavy song that gets transposed to a major key eventually sounds like the offspring

This whole thing sounds like cheesy 00’s punk rock.
Sum41, New Found Glory, Sugarcult, Fall Out Boy, etc. it’s not all terrible either.

I imagine these major chord videos are what plays when Santa Ben comes to deliver presents to the good weekend wankers.

Fonzy Brookestone new found glory rocks I can definitely hear it haha
Makes Ktulu sound like triumphant video game music - “you rescued the princess!” lol
Hey Ben, I would love to see a lesson on how to achieve those fast downstrokes. Great work!
Ktulu sounds so pretty, couple that with Uncle Ben's major key expressions and I about had a full on musical chubby!
Happy chords and riffs!!!! Made my week! Thanks. 👦🏻
They all sounded cool but the call of katulu chord progression in a major key really stood out!
This is leading the internet race of 2020. "Nailed it" is correct.
Learned the fight fire intro on acoustic. Took me forever but I love to play it any chance I get it's so melodic and peaceful. the calm before the storm so to say.
This is fantastic. Extra points for the percussionist playing the spoons. Actually spit coffee laughing. Well done.
DUDE, the faces you're making crack me up! lol
I was not ready for happy Ktulu hahaha!
Came here for the riffs, stayed for the encouraging facial expressions.
I feel fantastic today now. Thanks Uncle Ben

It's so beautiful that at 3:25 Uncle Ben stares out the window in contemplation as his whole flashes before his eyes.
Starting the day off with such positivity and triumph!
It sounds so swag overall!! Thanks for the experiment!
1:26 lmao even in major key that riff still kicks ass
Beginning Reminds me of a oldschool video game background sountrack, over all badazz! Refreshing!
For Whom the Bell Tolls sounds like the best damn 80's sports montage I've ever heard.

Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!! Fade to black sounds like the end credits of a video game.
I have never felt more positive about being trapped under ice, fighting fire with fire, fading to black and escaping! A half step is all it took.
Sounds like pop-punk and metal combined. Beauteous sounds!
Love the kitty painting at the beginning
This brought me so much joy. My life is complete now. FN loved it Uncle Ben. You played it just the way my step dad did.
Trapped sounds like a Tankard ale chugging song now!! Brilliant all the way through.

Oh man that bass intro to for whom the bell tolls lol. And escape is now a plausible Kvelertak tune.
Fight fire with fire has always reminded me of final fantasy 1 on the intro and that just made it sound more like final fantasy.
