- I wanted to build a new modern all singing all dancing carbon aero road bike with 12speed electronic shifting...... and build it all for less than £1800 .
This build includes :
BXT 145 frame & fork
Elitewheels Carbon 50mm wheelset
Ltwoo ERX groupset
Shimano Ultegra crank, cassette and chain
Selle Italia SLR
Here is a video for the frame production:
• BXT Factory Carbon Fib...
Very decent build for 1.6k! You couldn't find anything remotely close from a western brand for that price used, let alone brand new. Being able to build your own bike and work on it definitely will save you a lot of money! Interested to see a long term review of the Ltwoo groupset once you've done some more miles on it.
I Built the Same Frame From BXT up with a Sram Rival axs etap Group in June - 3K Kms later i still love it
Have you managed to get your headset 100% bind/slop free? I'm finding that I have to have a tiny bit of bind..... which is better than slop.
thanks for posting
You're welcome
Very nice build. Thank you for detailed video😊.Can you share with us link where did you bought bottom brocket zitto suitable for this frame. Thank you!😅😊
I ordered the T47-24 as I'm using a Shimano crank:

@fixitfallows Thanks 😀
Good stuff 👍 Hows the bike going?? Did you manage to fix the loose front end cutting the bolts shorter for better clamping pressure, or did it reappear and come loose again. Any issues to report 3 months on?? Thanks 👍
@@TESTA-CC hello, so shortening those bolts definitely worked for me, the headset has not come loose since.
However, setting the preload on the headset has proved to be more difficult. I have to accept either a tiny little bit of slop or a tiny little bit of bind. I opt for a tiny little bit of bind as road cycling doesn't really have huge amounts of large steering movements and I find this preferable to the potential damage by the continual movement associated with slop. All in all, in spite of this, I am very very happy with the bike.
Did you weigh the frameset including all accessories before the assembly? Is the frame itself (without headset, thruaxle, bottom bracket) 1050g or including those accessories?
I keep kicking myself as I did not 🤦🏼♂️...... I think the issue I had in regards to the battery location took over my thinking during the initial inspection of how the build would go
I have just messaged BXT on their website to see if they can clarify your weight question.
I suspect it is purely for the frame.... we shall see. You'll understand that I won't rush to disassemble the bike 😂
@@fixitfallows I did order myself a frame and will make sure to weigh everything :D Will let you know how heavy my components are (size 54, transparent blue).
@iTzRafaaaa Excellent!! I just found this production technique video on one of their retail website:

Building a carbon bike without a torque wrench is ill advised at best.
Agreed. Always preferable where possible. That's why I used a torque wrench at various stages and referenced appropriate tolerances. Some signs of usage was lost in the edit.
Too video mate. Just bought the same frame and group set myself. Was finding an issue with placing the battery and you offered the beauty of a solution for bottom tube placement…perfect🫡
