Really cool. I made a fog chiller years ago with an ice chest, big PVC inlet outlet and metal mesh rolled connecting the PVC inlet outlet - big production - it worked wonderfully - but now I need one for a Halloween play in my city - and I think your version is much simpler and the way to go. I also usually buy 'froggy's' fog juice - but I think I'll just make it based on your instructions - I'll have to look into this. Thanks so much!

Just a heads up, PVC is rated for at most 200°F, and most consumer grade fog machines operate at ~400°F.
For this reason, I use 3/4” copper M piping into my homemade chiller box, using the hose adapter bracket from Spirit.

Note about glycerin: most stores have it in their warehouses, but won't even have a spot on the shelf. If you're avoiding Amazon, you can usually order it from your store of choice online for order pickup when you get the rest of your groceries. Just give them a week to ship it your store.

This is such a good effect. Basically the same way I built mine too but I didnt use the foam because the chiller is hidden under a table and I don't really care if a little leaks out, and I used screw in bulkheads to attatch to PVC to direct the fog.

Mine lasts all evening, but I’m in a colder climate. If you’re in a warmer climate, you could swap out the storage bin for a cooler!
