She's not my favorite author but I found the Harry Potter books at a really dark time of my life and it really helped me get through it so those books had a big impact on me regardless of how of feel of Rowlings opinions, because they're just that, opinions and everyong can have their own opinions without an angry mob showing up.

J K Rowling is the reason, that millions of kids learned to read. Millions of kids who would normally have played computer games or hung out on the streets at an early age in just about every country in the world.. She is worthy of every accolade the British Royals or government could ever bestow upon her. All Emma and Daniel ever did, was to act out whatever was in the script. They did a good job of course but they got paid millions for their acting roles. What has either of them done since the Potter series? Nothing of any consequence and that will continue for the rest of their lives. JK Rowling is still moving forward and I am so happy that Rowling has now stated that the HBO series will be better without Emma and Daniel. Watson and Radcliffe will forever be associated with the Harry Potter series, which is great that they cannot forget and nor will anyone else, that all they have is because of JK Rowling.

eh, Im kinda down. I'd be curious to see a more book accurate adaptation. I mean 8sih episodes per season, one season per book. That's 8 plus hours per book versus 2-2.5. I still love the movies. It isn't like they are deleting the movies. Making another version wont hurt anyone. If it flops, oh well. Not my money wasted, I can still watch the movies.
Why wouldn't fans want her to have a say in the production? SHE created the story, and everyone loved it as it was. So why would that now become a problem? Disagree with her opinions all you want, you have that right (as she has a right to her own), but her work is still *her* work. and you liked it. as it was.
The only way Joann would allow HBO to reboot it was if she were at the helm, because (I absolutely guarantee you) the ONLY intention for rebooting the series was to infuse it with Woke, Marxist ideology.

Growing up with Daniel, Emma, and Rupert, it’s kind of hard to even think of someone else as these characters. Although it would be amazing to revisit Hogwarts and see what should have happened in the movies, I’m definitely hesitant, I would rather see an entirely different part of the Potterverse (especially something like the Marauders or Founders) than try to watch three different actors try to live up to the iconic trio.

They don't need to live up to the movie trio, they just need to live up to the book trio. They could actually portray the trio accurately in areas that the movie version failed to do.
Yeah I grew up watching Harry Potter and reading it even though most if not everything was made before I was even born and nobody can deny that will compare the original to the reboot and I would love to see more about the marauders they are like my favorite characters
I remember growing up with the cast and looking forward to the movies every year even though sometimes we had to wait two. But when it ended, there was a emptiness that connected to our childhood, that was kinda a rough pill to swallow. I think alot of us around that age group felt that when it ended.
Omg yes. When deathly hallows part 1 then wait a whole another year for part 2. Soo much money spent on the movies. They made box-office shut down. People were going crazy over it. We love you gang.
Yes when harry potter ended i felt really empty. I grew up with that show me and my family and friends literaly went to watch every movie that came in the cinema. Ill never forget it. I rewatched it again this month and im feeling empty again 😂
Lmao Harry Potter without her is basically a different IP. She made the entire world and characters. You can disagree with her but it doesn't mean you now have control of her original material.
exactly, I never liked Shakespeare yet he is was an amazing writer, I loved the way his books have been portrayed by some amazing Actors and dare I say Actresses are we allowed to make a difference between the two now? Any way, Harry Potter would never have existed and filled our lives with such joy and angst if she hadn't penned it. She managed to get the right publisher, get WB interested, otherwise it would just be a book we read and talked about years later. Thats what the cast seem to forget thank you JK I am famous because of your book not HEY I am not interested in playing that role any more because of the comment you said one day. They owe it to her, and ought to honour her, with her we wouldnt even know Daniel, Emma and Rupert existed.
I think people overestimate how involved she has stayed over the years. Yes- obviously she does a lot. But so have a TON of other people. The only thing she wrote alone was the books. None of the other media is fully hers.
Rowling is allowed her views on topics just like we all are allowed them. Many of us also have actual direct bosses that have opinions we do not agree with. That is part of being a human; living and working with people with different opinions to our own as well as those with similar opinions.
@@kashkinn It was also an objectively correct opinion. "People who menstruate" are biologically women. Whether trans people identify with that or not is irrelevant to the fundamental truth. Allowing them the freedom to identify and present as whatever they want if it helps with their mental health by more closely matching their self-perception is fair enough, but if they can't understand that they're not actually what they claim to be (which many trans people are more than happy to recognise) then they are just delusional and we shouldn't abandon fundamental truth to cater to them; doing so would be like telling an anorexic person that they are actually morbidly obese and they're doing the right thing for their health by trying to lose weight.
Absolutely, these people are absurd with the level of fake moral superiority. You don't get to just shut people out because you disagree about something that isn't how the world works, at the same time they have no issue raking in millions on a cult of image and working with all kinds of sexual predators in Hollywood, quaint. Also, I read that original comment she made and it wasn't hateful it just explains how she doesn't understand it, and honestly as a European neither do I. It seems to me Americans are mixing up personality and biology and it's creepy. Also, from my perspective, the fact you have to pretend to see them as the opposite sex even if you don't isn't really conducive to anything and is a kind of thought police ( I personally would always use someone's preferred gender, but being forced to do it is a different matter). She did not call for any violence or hate or anything, and I support their rights to neutral spaces, and to express themselves and live however they want to, I just don't understand it and don't see why people have to pretend to protect their feelings when I and most non-American women feel that people like Dylan Mulvaney are making a caricature of women (guess our feelings don't matter, get back in the kitchen). I also find it creepy how in the land of oversexualized everything so many girls don't feel like women and many of the public men who become women become the same sex doll. As a woman myself that's the part I find fascinating and overlooked.
how are they part of the world? .. the original books had another font, the rerelease books had yet another font, and then came the movies introducing the tune and another castle design for the first 2 films btw... the series should definitely change all about the appearance of the world, otherwise it's absolutely redundant .. they want to imagine harry potter new, how about some imagination?
A TV series is a good way to tell the whole story. You simply cannot take 300 page book and make it into a 120 page script. The later books got upwards towards 900 pages. Things have to be cut out - unless every book is a trilogy. That has always been a problem for readers going to a movie. Having a season per book will give them much more time to try and tell most of the story. I hope they do a good job of it. 😎
What she stated isn't even an opinion. It's a fact. She stated trans women are not real women which is true. I'm a big fan of the film series and the golden trio actors of Harry Potter but if they refuse to work with Rowling because of their leftist view, then just replace them. I just hope the series remains true to the books and its characters. Enough of the gender and race swapping

I feel like Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are being little children about the entire thing. Like you made millions and made a fortune off of Harry Potter, they are some of the most recognizable faces in the world because of it. They’ve had a good decade plus off, stop acting like your current projects are more important because they’re not. If I were them, I would jump in a heartbeat to get back on Harry Potter. I can understand that it’s hard to watch movies of your younger self, but how much better would it be to see them come back as adults and crush it with all of the new skills that they’ve learned over the years as actors. Big props to J. K. Rowling for standing or ground and actually having morals. she’s the creator of the story, she should be in complete control of it. If it’s not, it would be gay Potter and the seven queers.
Love this comment!! I'm impressed by Rowling saying what she believes instead of going w/ what everyone else says. I wish the world would bring back dignity and class, instead of whatever the heck is going on these days.

You keep saying that "fans" are put off by Rowling's "transphobic" comments (she said nothing of the sort, she merely stated the fact that women exist, but that aside), but clearly your views are not representative of the majority of fans or the majority of people, and you are merely talking for a loud minority. As you noted, Hogwarts Legacy was a billion dollar success, despite the "boycott" lol. Turns out that a few hundred people on twitter isn't enough to sink the Harry Potter franchise. I can't wait to see this series be a smash-hit as well, and hopefully you people will get the message that people don't care about your opinions on Rowling and that most intelligent people support her, as they should because she said nothing wrong.

The actors don’t give a rat’s crap about the fans. They only care about their careers… and, if they want to continue to woke in Hollywood, then they need to say what they’re told to say.
Judging by the failed "boycott" of Hogwarts Legacy, I doubt that there is any problem with J.K. Rowling amongst real fans. The fans love Harry Potter - the story is timeless - and the writer of those stories will always be a part of them. Rowling is entitled to make a living from her own work. She is also allowed to have an opinion, just like the other side has opinions. No one should be silenced - and the fact that Emma and Daniel (who owe their entire careers to Rowling) refuse to participate because of Rowling's OPINION is pure immaturity. I'd love to see the series and even "Cursed Child" if they ever decide to do that as a movie. Oh, and I have Hogwarts Legacy - it's a tremendous game.

The movies were great, and the actors will continue to get a lot of love and respect from the fans. However, that has nothing to do with remaking the series in another medium. We have to face it. The people who made the movies dropped the ball in a lot of places, which disappointed many people readers among them. They didn't show all the tasks in Sorcerer's Stone.. They didn't show the Mauralders back story in Prisoner of Azkaban. They didn't show what happened in the first two challenges, and they changed the maze challenge completely in Gobblet of Fire. They didn't show the week of OWLS in Order of Phoenix. They didn't show most of Voldemort-s back story from the Half Blood Prince . Not to mention Spew, nonverbal magic Ginny Harry full story. Shows are called “original” by networks all the time. It made me think they were claiming theirs was the first adaptation, but I’m starting to think the intent is actually to label new versions as different than the first iteration, when they’ve kept the title. Just think of the FFVIIr confusion if “remake” was not part of the title SPOILERS FOR THE THING MOVIES Or that time a prequel to “The Thing” was produced, but released under the same title, so a lot of people *thought* it was a remake. There, I actually think the creators wanted the confusion, because properly recognizing the connection between the films was a revelation within the film

One thing I hope they do is cast people like Luna and Sedrick before they main rolls, that was my main complaint with the original films how is it they spent 5 years at hogwarts before ever speaking to/about or seeing Luna even if they where in the background personally I think that would make it all feel a lot smoother and not like they read on book then made a film but like they read all the books and them made the films.
The only reason I would like to see the show is, because they are able to show all the stuff from the books that were missing in the movies. But the movies and the original cast will always be No.1 for me.

If they actually fullfill the promise of making it more book accurate, I can absolutely get behind that series. I read all the books, and watched all the movies, and if they make Ron the brave, competent and capable if lazy and easygoing character he is in the books, rather than the bumbling idiot that occasionally lands a lucky shot he is in the movies, I have no issues with having a different face attached to the character. And while I know that basically everyone, including JK Rowling, disagrees with me on that one, I think Alan Rickman was the wrong choice for Snape, for multiple reasons, and I'm looking forward to see a portrail of Snape that doesn't downplay his vile and selfish actions in the books, and doesn't overemphasize his "redemption arc". I put the quotes here on purpose. Had I only watched the movies, I would see Snape as a hero and wouldn't be able to understand how people who know his final twist and sacrifice still dislike him. Had I not seen the movies, I would believe that everyone who sees snape as a hero and excuses or denies his actions is a child-abuse-apologist.

This is an opportunity for fans to get more details that we’re in the books but left out in the movies and I think it makes sense to keep the familiar theme song and the castle if your literally starting back to book one and JK Rowling needs to be apart of it so that way the books and scrips are on point to the story she wrote.
I personally for Harry Potter, and I don’t think it needs a remake. I think a better thing to do would be like a sequel, but with James and Willie, the founders and how they fell apart Hogwarts a Dumbledore I don’t just want a series that replays everything because that’s just boring to me. I am one of the biggest potheads ever I just don’t want to re-watch it, when I think of Harry Ron and Hermione, I think of Emma, Rupert and Daniel
I think a new adaptation will be great!! I was highly disappointed in book 6. With a 10hr adaptation there will be no reason to not show Voldemort's past. The pensieve moments were some of my faves in the books but they were for the most part omitted from the movie. I'm also hoping they fix Lavenders character. She didn't seem as silly & frivolous in the books. They made her way more comedic in the movies. Also in the bks both the Dumbledore & Ron characters are different than depicted in the movies. Dumbledore is way more manipulative & conniving while Ron is a flat out bully throughout most of the series. My only problem will be accepting someone else as Snape. Sorry, but Rickman was the perfect Snape & he will be missed in this.
I feel like they completely missed the huge opportunity to appeal to the most active part of the fandom and do a Marauder series. It's been dominating the fandom for many years now, especially the fanfiction scene. It's also what you'll see most of on tiktok. There's so much else of the world of the potterverse to see and explore and there really isn't a single need to revist the Harry Potter books so soon.
I'm looking forward to the series, i love the movies extremly and usually i don't like remakes of anything, BUT something about this series feels right. I have faith in HBO because House of the dragon was absolutely amazing and if they keep up the quality with Harry Potter it's going to be the best thing ever!
I was just barley 8 years old when the first film was released. Growing up with the same people playing the same characters for a decade, besides Dumbledore obviously, I could never watch any remake with a different cast.
I would not mind if the HBO series actually happened. I heard if from somewhere that the series would touch on parts of the books that the movie never did, and that would be excellent for me cause i never read the books. I know they are great, many people told me to do it, but im just not too big on reading books. So a series that uses book material more in-depth, would be perfect for me.
I loved the trio eventually but i was so disappointed when the movies came out they looked nothing like i thought, i was like ten and it was probably my first book to screen adaptation but im holding out for the series ive been saying it would be such an epic tv show!!
I am looking forward to this. But not looking forward to what seems like huge changes. The HP journey will definitely be a different one and less relatable amongst the original books (and readers). As someone who read and loved the books and watched the movies (and enjoyed them) but hoped for more details. This will be disappointing. HBO could ruin some childhood memories.😅
When JK Rowling first started to get criticism after she only stated her beliefs about genders, which she's perfectly entitled to do, these two were the first to stab her in the back. So, to be honest, they should just shut up and fade away into the distance while other young actors take on the mantel of the Harry Potter cast. Also, let the trans fans boycott the show as it won't make an iota of difference such is the very small number of them - as we witnessed with 'Legacy'. Myself, I am incredibly excited to see the series which will include everything in the book to detail. I predict it will be even better than the movies.
There was so much missing from the movies and I was disappointed in the movie ending and I'm hoping that these episodes will bring to life what was not put in the original films
Ms. Rowling may be a bit nearsighted and misguided in her opinions, but she did create an absolutely beautiful and immersive world that soooo many people love. I'm a 52 year old gay man and don't agree with her but some things are being overlooked here. As for "inclusion", she wrote in many people of all types and races from all over the world, not just England. She alluded to the fact that Dumbledore was gay, and the story itself revolves around a mindset that was very active in Germany in WWII with Hitler instead of Voldemort. It is a tale of love and compassion to triumph over evil. As for depicting overweight people as evil...Really???? They just happen to be written that way. Petunia was tall and skinny. Voldemort, Knox, and Bellatrix were also skinny. This one is just simply ridiculous. If she's not going to let go of her billion dollar baby, fine. Just do it like the books with as little deviation as possible. Don't make the fans of the books mad...Again.
I'm actually really excited about the series being a faithful adaptation. I would love to see those other series that were mentioned spinning off from this one if it does well enough. When they first made the movies, they were making them as the books were coming out (for at least half the series). They didn't have the opportunity of foresight. Now they do. If they cast well, they could both foreshadow characters that will be important in this storyline, as well as introduce actors that will fill the roles on spinoff shows. Examples could include: older classmates that become relevant later like Cedric, founders in paintings, marauders in the mirror, portraits and in-series who can play older and younger versions of themselves (or at least better plan look-alikes with near acting talent), cast an Ariana Dumbledore that could play in a Dumbledore spinoff, and even properly set up the next gen cast to maybe do a James Potter Spinoff series. Although I seriously hope they would concider reaching out to G. Norman Lippert who wrote a MUCH better sequel series (with permission from JK Rowling) than we all understand the Cursed Child to be. The Cursed Child was and will always be trash and the fact that JK can't see it is bothersome to me. I like to think she just made a rash decision and is too proud to come to her senses on the matter lol. As for the subject matter of this video, I don't really care what JK's opinions are on politics. I don't mind the portrayal of certain characters. I do mind the cannon description of characters and gender/race/body-type/sexuality bending for inclusive purposes will absolutely turn me off from the series. We don't need agenda pushing to infuse this project into an early grave, despite how happy that might make some people who are probably already hoping the series will fail before it gets off the ground.
I was wondering what story they were going to do. would they do the original story again, show what happened durning those 19 years, or do something with the cursed child.
I just started watching other movies and even Miracle Workers to get the image of him being 'the boy who lived' out of my head to appreciate him as a diverse actor, like Johnny Depp. I think he's doing well, but I want him to keep doing good until he feels confident in coming back to HP for The Cursed Child without it getting to him. I am hyped for the recasting of the trio for younger versions of themselves in the TV series so that the books get all the little bits of information out. Who knows, there might be some even more information sprinkled in.
omg.. NOT AGAIN.... I really DONT want to see BLACK or ASIAN Harry Potter .... Not, that it is racist... IT IS JSUT WRONG!!! There any many great opportunities and movies where to cast different actors... It is like I would make Actor in Black Panther White... just because it is racist... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE . Do not make him Black trans with a secret love to Ron where Hermione discovers , that she is more attracted to goblins than Ron --- This is not Reality... Stop PUSHING those things into the movies... Again.. I love those people, nothing against.. everyone have right to do ANYTHING in their lives and live how they please.... BUT !!! It is just stupid to PUSH those things into the movies where it does not belongs ...
lol who cares if you are a real Harry Potter fan the last thing you would be concerned with is his race... His role and the story has NOTHING to do with his race so please stfu.
Well avoid most of the woke advertising of the show....the "diversity" the show is adding so far is the diversity that was in the books that the trashed out movies left out. There were tons of really good original characters of different races like Dean Thomas who was in the books ALOT. People attacked JK for being racist but the movie left that stuff out...not the books.
Rowling, like everyone else on the planet she is entitled to her opinion, people can choose to agree or disagree, and not be petty enough to make a big deal about it.
I....Higley doubt that would happen, especially because it is very likely that they'll find someone who matches the appearance and characteristics of book version in order to make it stay true to the original. Just like they did to the movies.
"His eyes are as green as a fresh pickled toad!" Harry's Valentines song from Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets, though that song was removed because in the movies, Harry has blue eyes.
Just some stipulations: please cast a pretty Ginny this time and make her true to the books in terms of actually having a personality and a stunning Fleur.
I would not blame the actress. for me, she was perfectly casted and had so much potential. however, the writers messed up by making her non-verbal - the love between harry and her felt so awkward because they haven't even spoken before. would be something the series could do better, but don't blame the actress. and lets not forget: ginny is still a weasley :)
It is her world. Rowling in not a problem she is the creator. Who cares if the original golden trio want to be involved. The PC brigade need to mind their own opinions to themselves
Although a new adaptation will not bring back the WHOLENESS of nostalgia of the Books and the movies, I look forward to see this. If it is well produced I think it will start a new era for the Wizarding World and it may be a new experience for a new, younger audience.
Let's be real... this adaptation will probably be like the Star Wars sequels, the Amazon LOTR show, etc: loosely based on the original IP but with all of the unique character stripped out and replaced with what is politically trendy
YESSS I feel like i missed out on so much because Harry Potter was released when I wasn’t even born yet and it just made me feel like that I was born in the wrong generation 😭 but hopefully the new one will be just as good as the old one!
Harry potter is so much bigger than just one person. If they can’t tough it out with each other for the fans that’s on them, but having a book series almost complete without the last one done kind of sucks.
If they don't stick to the books Discription, they are not being faithful to the source material. Isn't this the whole reason for the remake? Or did I get it wrong?
Honestly I read the books before the movies i had a differ image in my mind for all the characters so a fresh cast won’t bother me, now whether they are consistent with the lore…. That I care. Otherwise give me more and more immersive experiences
The books are a million times better than the movies because of the hours of content removed. If they race swap characters this will be another rings of power flop. If they stick to the books this will be a huge success.
Who cares what the actors think, of course they do not want to be left out but that is not a very good reason to not do it, wanting to be "like Starwars" is a very good reason to not have the original director anyway close to the new project. The movies are well loved and a pretty ok adaptation, the series could be even better as long as the stick to the books and do not change anything to acomodate Movie nostalgia or a political agenda.
I'd give it 10 more years before they do cursed child. I'd also wait another 30 or 40 to remake it. That way they could recast the main three in major supporting roles. It would be neat to see a 70 year old Radcliffe play Dumbledore.
I'm disappointed that Emma, and Daniel gave in to the woke mob, but it is what it is. I'm definitely going to watch it and I think with each book getting a whole season it's going to be awesome.
The creator of this video seems to think all Harry Potter fans hate JK Rowling. They also seem to think that we will cry and boycott the show if it’s not radically diverse. Honestly, 90% of the viewers who would watch this show could care less about any of this. We are talking about England in the 1990’s. This would mean the population is 1.6% Black and like 8% other. Why is it that only white movies need to diversify? The original movies got the diversity accurate for the time period. If you were to use census data from today, you may need to add and extra black person or Asian person. Why is it that only countries that are predominantly white are trying to diversify the population and complete census and studies on diversity growth and talk like it’s a bad thing if it doesn’t improve? If they make the new Harry Potter show woke garbage, they will only hurt themselves because then you will actually lose fans. Additionally, JKR is not transphobic. She just thinks it’s unfair for biological males to compete in women sports. If you are honest with yourself and can follow logic you would understand why. Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe are still little babies with a distorted perspective on life. They have been radicalized by the communist in Hollywood whose only goal is to destroy western culture. They are foolish because they aren’t great actors anyway and would be nothing without Harry Potter.
Yeah because Emma and Daniel are soooo great in the movies. Haven't seen a single TikTok video dissing their acting skills. This is a breath of fresh air, getting a season per book and letting good casting directors cast kids the way Jojo Rabbit, Room and so on have done
I just know that if they do that anyone complaining will get called racist, as if people to this day don't complain about Harry not having book accurate eyes (which there was an actually understandable reason for). If they say they're going to stick to the books then they need to stick to them as much as realistically possible

Psh, I agree with Rowling, BUT saying that what she said was "Transphobic" is being COMPLETELY inaccurate and disingenuous. It's highly offensive and dehumanizing to refer to actual WOMEN as "menstruating people" or "birthing people". Using those terms to describe and label women IS misogynistic and sexist. I don't give a damn if calling real women "women" upsets men in dresses who masquerade as some sexist stereotypical idea of what a woman is. They can do as they wish, and as adults can do what they want, but just because a man puts on "woman face" doesn't mean that those men get to erase real women and redefine what a woman is. Kudos to Rowling for standing up for real women and using her fame to be a voice for true biological women in an era where people are degrading and dehumanizing women in the name of being "trans allies". You can be a trans ally without dehumanizing real women. CIS is another example. Stop calling normal people CIS, it's dehumanizing and hypocritical. Stop with all the labels and just be yourself without throwing everyone else under the PC bus. I am a gay woman, so feel free to try to man-splain why I'm wrong, you won't change my mind.
Well said! Honestly seeing Rowling stick to her beliefs and not back down from standing up for women despite the harassment has only made me repect her more!

It's probably hard for you to understand that transgender women are actually women. Just try to get more informed next time . See I love how many fans decided to still like jk books and stuff even tho we don't agree at all with her( basically she generalize in a negative way a topic that should be discussed more deeply. and a right knowledge in sociology and psychology should also be taken in count ). Shows are called “original” by networks all the time. It made me think they were claiming theirs was the first adaptation, but I’m starting to think the intent is actually to label new versions as different than the first iteration, when they’ve kept the title. Just think of the FFVIIr confusion if “remake” was not part of the title
SPOILERS FOR THE THING MOVIES
Or that time a prequel to “The Thing” was produced, but released under the same title, so a lot of people *thought* it was a remake. There, I actually think the creators wanted the confusion, because properly recognizing the connection between the films was a revelation within the film
If people don’t like what J. K. Has to say they can just ignore her. Simple equation.

Exactly. But the problem with the woke mob is that they have to complain all the time. They are never satisfied.
Yeah. The only reason she insisted on being in control was to keep all the woke, Marxist propaganda sh!t out of it - cuz, that’s the ONLY reason Hollywood wanted to reboot it - to RUIN it, like they ruin every other iconic story and character that We The People hold dear.

@@aarengraves9962 where do you get those insanely good quotes from?
They really struck gold with the child actors for the movies.
A comedy following hagrids adventures would be awesome. The whole thing would write its self. Especially if they keep his west country accent and British humour. all the things he had to do in the forbidden forest...AND an episode where he gets his dog fang as a puppy! Who doesn't want to see puppy fang! He would be the new baby yoda

Rowling is the creator off her books and everything that came with it... it just like saying that you made a multi-billion company out of nothing and now you have to give it up for someone else to take over after 25 years... thats not very long. She has done amazing thinks and people just want to sh!t on her becuase she made 1 comment that was taken out of proportion. Why does everyone else have to suffer becuase some people took offence?? The Western world of social media has ruined so many people... why does everyone have to walk on eggshell these days just because they might offend someone. What happened to "freedom of speech"?? Christ, I'm pissed!
I'm all for a remake. Any new version without Emma Watson would only be an improvement.
Are you dumb😂
I am looking forward to this. But not looking forward to what seems like huge changes. The HP journey will definitely be a different one and less relatable amongst the original books (and readers). As someone who read and loved the books and watched the movies (and enjoyed them) but hoped for more details. This will be disappointing. HBO could ruin some childhood memories.😅
I’m certain that’s their goal.
We can't always agree with each other all the time, but can't we respect that people can have different points of view?
sure, if i say that my opinion is that we should return slavery (it's NOT, just to be clear), then you should absolutely respect that right?
There was so much missing from the movies and I was disappointed in the movie ending and I'm hoping that these episodes will bring to life what was not put in the original films
I like the suggestions made; Founders, Marauders map, and Dumbledore would be interesting.
Im sorry but no one cant replace the old cast im sorry but this is my opinion
She is not misguided in her opinions though.
The people who get 'mad', are not the' fans'.
They will make each book into one full tv season.

I am hyped for the recasting of the trio for younger versions of themselves in the TV series so that the books get all the little bits of information out. Who knows, there might be some even more information sprinkled in.
I'm looking forward to new faces and more in-depth story of Harry Potter. A series and the movies would be totally different in my eyes.

Just some stipulations: please cast a pretty Ginny this time and make her true to the books in terms of actually having a personality and a stunning Fleur.
true the actors were pretty but they didn't really match with the books imo
Ginny was never particularly pretty. And there was nothing wrong with the actress portraying her.

Well said. To use their own words:’not everything is for you.’ They should follow their own advice.
She wrote the books! It's her story! What is wrong with people.
I'm autistic I love that they kept the same font and castle 🥺
I love that too, made me more confident in the adaption.
Haha i love that too!
Jeff sneider is litteraly the worst source of this planet
I would suggest in the new Potter Series Harry starts to identify as a woman and starts wearing dresses..Just to satisfy whatever group.
J.K spoke facts and wokies got mad. Now we may never see the trio return.
I'm siding with HBO here, IF they don't go down the same path as Disney and make white characters black to be "woke."
