You don't understand eclipse, the horses in this game eat from bowls, BOWLS, the type of bowls that are polished and unique, the type of unique bowl where they have to kill 8 snowMANS for!
11:30 it's definitely a different approach here, but this kind of failsafe feature has been a thing in a handful of modern platformers, especially in 2D. Celeste partly feels as good as it does because it has a generous "coyote time" mechanic. This also makes for a great mechanic to expand on in harder stages. A lot of Celeste's platforming is actually quite easy to execute, but would be substantially more frustrating without the sheer number of "grace" features in the game-- hitboxes tend to be smaller than they appear, lots of windows for initiating advanced moves are quite large, and jumps and dashes always come out when you want them to. Overall, I quite like games that focus more on making the movement feel as good as possible over making a moveset that's expansive. Often times, responsive but easily understood movement mechanics allow for more depth and better gameplay experience.
There's a crazy amount of platformers on the level of quality and enjoyment as this but unfortunately roblox's search algorithms make it impossible for new players to find them anywhere. I have pages of names though. I've been addicted to roblox adventure or normal platformer games for a decade now.

hey eclipse i have a suggestion, loft tower 2, its a really good platformer, the levels are nice, the bosses are tense and the movement is solid, i'd highly say to check it out if you have the time!

I think it's pretty well made game that focuses on the doors aspect but it's way more fast paced and requires good reaction and also has the game tell you how to play as you go, it sticked with me for a couple of runs until I got bored it has a lack of content but I honestly think it has potential
i love your content keep it up also love how a shitpost looking game got better gameplay controls then some roblox games that use way too much time for animations and everything but still got worse gameplay than this and even some official steam platformers got worse control gimmick than this game.
When eclipse was struggeling with the second level he sounded like he was literally being burt alive in the deepest parts of hell and when he completed the level and got the belt it sounded like god finally forgave him and granted him holyness
The dev has promised to make the world 4 belt even harder after me and some other crackheads complained about the first 3 being too easy so that’s going to be fun for you mortals
Eclipes there's another platformer collectathon game called loft tower 2. it's also a fever dream but it also has level completion it's pretty good for how silly it looks (it also has co-op and PVE) (if you get stuck on finding a burger you can check the menu and click burgers) (you can also check keybinds in edit keybinds in settings)
the bit where you talked about holding jump to jump higher vs tapping jump to jump lower reminded me of parkour reborn, you ever think you'll do a review on that?
You should really try Parkour Reborn -- it's an early access game that costs 350 robux (i think?) and i'd like to see your view on if the content and gameplay is worth the money

eclipse how do you feel about roblox games having partnerships/being owned by other companies, ex; fisch, notoriety (just got a partnership with starbreeze after being down for >1yr), zo samurai, nfl universe etc. I feel like the companies scout out games that have good potential, buy them when they are not very popular, then monetize and milk the hell out of them.

Hey uh Eclipse, Sakura Stand has done the most Pay to win update recently. There are 3 or 4 specs added with no obtainment. One is “obtained” by gambling and the rest are a pain in the ass to grind for. The other specs are “obtained” by paying candy corns (it’s December not Halloween so I don’t know what the fuck the devs were thinking) and the ONLY good way to get them is paying the fuck up. A person did a calculation on how long it would take, and take a wild guess. A day? a week? WRONG ITS A FUCKING MONTH OF GRINDING! (700 hours or so because 100 candy corn takes 10 hours. Award winning game design). Also, I found out all of this via another youtuber. I feel bad for his wallet. I wanted to hear your opinion on it, even though it might be very similar to mine.
i can personally recomend another weird platformer that is loft tower 2. much less high quality but if you are willing to lower your standards it's an acceptable 3d pizza tower style platformer
