great work, the fact that this is shot with a GH5 proves that creativity is what makes a great film not how big is the budget. I see a lot of love put behind and in front of the camera here.
@AaronBrown-rr6yu Yes, The question a filmmaker has to ask himself is not about equipment... it's simple.... ``Do I have something interesting to say?`` If the answer is yes, then you need to get to the people that wanna listen and see your story.
This is far superior in every way to the average RUclips shorts I watch everyday. I'm getting addicted to your content! You're great! And to be sincere, I was kind of expecting the ending! I'm really very pleased with it! Congratulations!
Thank you so much! I don't remember fully what my cinematographer used, but I'm pretty sure we shot in V-Log externally recorded in prores, and I don't think we used any filters in front of the lenses.
Do you think you would have gotten a similar result in terms of image if you had used the GH4 instead? Or was the GH5 necessary to the success of this film? It’s a beautiful looking film by the way.
The GH5 was just the camera we had on hand to shoot this short. Shooting in 10-bit certainly helped with the darker scenes and better colour (although RUclips's compression destroyed it) but I had used the GH4 for quite a few years at that point and got similar results in a properly lit environment. If you check out my short film 'The Dirt Between My Fingers' on my channel, that film was entirely shot on the GH4. Thanks!
Hey I have GH5 and wanted to know when you shoot in vlog do you over expose to get better color grading? On my Sony A7SIII when shooting in Slog3 I have to over expose by 1-2 stops to get better color when grading.
@@CeeloThatMane Thank you! It was a Kowa B&H and the taking lenses were the Helios 44-2 and the Jupiter-9. All the exteriors were shot in natural light with no modifiers on a cloudy day which was great and the interior scenes were very simple with usually one softbox to accent a practical and a tube light for the moon ambiance.
I didn't have time to shoot much behind the scenes unfortunately as it was such a tiny crew and we only had 1 and a half days to shoot the entire thing. I may end up doing a small video at some point explaining the process. Thank you!
I haven't used the sigma FP before, but I think the GH5 still holds up! I've been using the blackmagic cameras the past few years which I like way more.
This is so beautiful. it[s a film...a HQ movie.. a real movie. I liked it!

Oh god ! Amazing great work. Nice performances from all of you ! Keep going on
This looks like cinema. very good job. geat characters.
Brilliant work! Only annoying part is the you tube compression!
Rayhanur kabir yeah RUclipss compression brutally destroyed this upload unfortunately.
Is there a Vimeo version? Still think their compression is superior.
@@hippy3000 Not yet on vimeo. Once I upgrade my account I will upload it there.
@@1109films Try uploading 4k, many have discovered RUclips's compression works better with it for delivering 1080p to the viewer.
upload in 1440p, youtube uses better compression for 1440p than 1080p and 4k imo
jeez buddy... nice one.
Damn this is dope!. Really great work 👏🏿
Stunning!
Dude... great short!! 👏🏼👏🏼
Amazing job !! Loved that
LOVED IT!

Amazing work as always! It was good to see Christian Von Krause again too!

DAMN what the hell, this is great, delightful 8 minutes
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Wonderful image, was shot in which color profile? did you use any lens filter ? Thanks and congratulations! incredible.

What anamorphic lens was used on this? GREAT cinematography bro. Best GH5 footage I’ve seen on all of RUclips
Great lighting and story as well. Great overall. I’m reall at loss for words seeing that this is shot on GH5 😂
Goes to show that lighting is the most important element. The GH5 captures like a film camera which makes it so cold to me

Whats the canera settings
nice
Was this shot using vlog and how was this graded?
Do you have a vimeo link for this? youtube compression sucks
Hey loved the short film, wondering what camera and lenses you used on this, looked anamorphic?
Misbah thanks! This was shot on the panasonic gh5 with a kowa b&h anamorphic lens over mostly a Helios 44-2
@@1109films Nice ! Yeah very interesting and organic look, the Helios does have a very interesting swirly bokeh pattern that makes it very unique.
Excellent ! Did you do a making of ?

This has gotten way too little attention, what the shit.
do u like GH5 better than sigma FP for making movies?

@@1109films which lens do u like most and what lense that use most on above movies? helios?
@@yodhamheaven Depends on which project I'm working on, but I do tend to use my helios and super takumar set the most personal projects.
