if anyone is still here, i just got hired so i’m gonna answer the most common question.
what will they ask during the interview? to be honest my manager skipped over a lot of the stupid ones that are supposed to read your character or whatever. she asked what has frustrated me recently and for a time that i rebelled against a rule. make sure you mention having fun with the customers. she hired me on the spot. it’s my first job ever and i haven’t actually started yet so i don’t have a ton of information. had to watch the cringiest video. “BOOM goes the dynamite!”
Hi, great video! I’ve been thinking on applying (this would be my first job EVER) but I’m scared of the register. I’m not good at mental math, like I know the register will tell me how much change to give but I can’t count the coins fast😩. Any advice on how to handle it?
to be honest, registers aren't that hard and the customers are usually extremely understanding. just take your time and dont rush yourself, five below is a great first job, ive been working at one for over a year
Hey, thank you so much! Sorry for the late response. When I first started working at 5 below I was slow at the register, but my advice is to take your time even when you feel rushed because you don't want to give people the wrong change. I always double check how much change I grabbed before I give it. Now it's been months of me working behind the register and now I'm pretty quick. You began to memorize how much change to give back with all bills within time.
Lol, I am most scared of folding the shirts.I can't fold shirts to save my life.

I just finished up working there it takes a while to get used to the $ and returns

Hey girl I just started working there . My first job and I could never get how to do a return on them computers
returns are easy, there should be a return button, you scan the receipt, if it doesnt scan you just type in the information and if they dont have a receipt you click on no receipt. if they do have the receipt the items should come up (just scan them) and you give them the money back the way they paid, if cash you give them cash and if card you ask if they have their card, if they dont, all you can offer is an exchange or store credit

Wren Willow they racist as f*ck and accused me of stealing $40 and fired me on spot no investigation or anything and I asked for it to be looked into being the fact I started on one register and the switched me with the girl next to me who mind you HAD THE DAMN MONEY IN HER NAME, mid transaction, during the switch.

It's fairly easy. Sadly as associates we don't get any benefits. We do have guard but if I do come across a thief I just "customer service" them by asking if they need help or if they need a basket for the items they are trying to take.

@@stevenhernandez39 it was good, I ended up getting hired on the spot. it's a good job for teenagers to just make some money but if you have any bills at all I would look for something else bc the hours are TERRIBLE. sometimes I would only work 10 hours a week. but it's a fun and laid back job! (well was, 3 years ago lol)

They gave me a call. During that call the manager let me know I would be getting a email soon to set up my account. The amount of time it takes depends on the demand. During holiday seasons they get back quicker

Yes we wore uniform shirts only. The dress code was typical such as no tights, no shorts above the knee, etc.
And no it doesn’t have to be tucked in.
