I hate when I'm 10 to 15 min early for my interview and they don't interview me until an hour later because there late😡 then they hit you with sorry for the delay but if it's the other way around I don't get the job

I remember my first job interview I was nervous af I went in 10 minutes early and asked for the manager the manger saw me asked me for my ID and ssn and told me to sit it in the lobby and I just waited there patiently he came back and said that I got the job and I just needed to fill out the paperwork and that I could start my training the day after it was by far the best job interview I had

J_J ana Yes. A lot of places like fast food restaurants and Walmart and Target allow you to work at 16 but some other bigger places like hotels and things like that, you have to be 17 or 18 but you should always go onto their website and look at the age requirement before you apply
to find a job, look at sites like RESUME ROBIN Resume Distribution, really helped me

UPDATE: I got the job! I want to give a few tips to those who may be nervous: Treat an interview like a friendly conversation, don't treat it like a Q&A. Be honest and just be yourself and you'll do fine. Make sure to be communicative and don't be shy to dig into your answers to give better clarification. Me being an introvert, it was still a simple and easy task and it's not as stressful as people make it out to be.

@@jacekkono5484 well, my comments is 2 years old but I’m happy to say it went well! I’ve been working at Kumon (a school tutoring company) since then and I am now 16
RUclips is filled with people being crass, butt cheeks, twerking and its almost not cool if you don't curse. In fact to be black and successful on RUclips you MUST be crass. All you hear in the media is "black people need role models...black people need to do for their own" Here is a young black man (I know nothing about) that is atleast TRYING to teach people something. I’m 16 Just watched this and listened to the advice, I got a job at the place a couple hours later!! Really excited to go to orientation as this is my first ever job! If there are any other teens like me this video is sooo helpful! I reccomend a resume to apply and to bring to the interview but I didn’t because I wasn’t able to print it but I was able to say all my qualities. Just be confident and professional! You have to look like your excited for working there and you have to show your interest. For fast food jobs or more casual companies I reccomend just wear a clean shirt and jeans.
Heres a tip, Teen jobs, they hire EVERYBODY lol. Show up on time, tell them you love the company so much, and if you have a bad customer, you will tell them whatever makes them feel better. EZ PZ you just got that dream job for 7 bucks an hour.

I decided not to get a part time job. Instead I just kept focusing on school work, which to me is fine. But maybe I will try again another year.

If you have the opportunity to just focus on education then go ahead and take several advanced courses because many don't have the opportunity to do so which is why I encourage you take AP or even IB or concurrent enrollment but in the end its a wise choice but take advantage of it. (Meanwhile i shall get a job because I can't afford collage)

it was quite informal and pretty easy. I walked in, said to an employee "hi I have an interview today etc" and I waited for a few mins. the manager then took me into the work area behind the till and aske me a few basic questions. then i was told basically what happens in the kitchen and was told to watch them work for a while.
then i watched the cashiers work and had to feedback to the manager. then she took my uniform sizes and told me to come in the next week to do training for like 3 hours an I can start working.

Breanna Sumner it took around an hour. some questions asked were "why do you want this job" and "why do you think you're suitable for this job". when I had to give feedback after watching them work she asked "what I would do differently and what they could improve" which was a difficult question but I just said they could have communicated better but worked around the problem when the drink machine broke (I wouldn't be surprised if something is broken for your interview haha)

I'm 19, 20 in just a couple of months. I dropped out of high school when I was 15 due to terrible anxiety and bullying. I do not have any job experience and I'm also not a very talkative person. Yes, always bring extra copies of your resume to hand them a fresh copy if they ask for it. They may also have you meet someone else, so having an extra copy on hand for a surprise interviewer will show that you came prepared. However, i didnt study too much and was able to answer what they needed without hesitation! Just make sure to let them know if you are nervous and maybe theyll be able to help a bit. thats what had happened for me! she was cracking joked and going into detail for things because i mentioned I get confused when something isnt clearly explained sometimes

I’m 16, applied at sprouts a few hours ago. On their website, I answered a few automated questions and then it signed me up for an interview time. Then I applied for the job so I wouldn’t lose that interview. It’s in 6 days from now. Wish me luck!
