AP is a genius. I know that word gets thrown around a lot, but it's perfection. And it does sound very early nineties when the break kicks in for a bit just before half time.
Yes & the Aphex symbol appears in the Ugly Boy video, any artists active in the late 80's / early 90's like Aphex would actually love & appreciate that, because everyone was sampling each others riffs back then, they were paying homage to him through that - the roots of acid / rave culture ('acid burn' was a lifted sample, years before acid became a euphomism for LSD). Liam Howlett ended it all with Prodigy - 'Charly' in 1991, because it was such a good tune, sampling a public information film, everyone tried copying him and it led to 'Toytown Techno' which killed the scene, an entire generation all living for rave, then it ended, he's been trying to bring it all back since 2009, maybe Aphex should give it a go

It’s the audio equivalent of an Ian M. Banks sci-fi. You’re standing on the biggest sub-woofer in that quadrant of the galaxy , gazing at the engineered ring-world, verdant mountains and valleys rolling away in every direction around you, while the lead synth is sounding out from ‘that mountain over there’, and the pads are somehow being played within your body, using your sinews as oscillators.
