He helped me understand general vs specific when it comes to understanding concrete conditions. It's sometimes easier to go for a general understanding and takes more time to investigate the specifics of a particular society.
i made it a point to read the essay before sitting down to listen to this interview and the one-two combo crystallized a lot of what i've been thinking about in regards to class and praxis. Very grateful for this enlightening and valuable interview!
Dani may be yet to figure out, that his knowledge is deeper than most professional economists, simply from looking at what people are doing, rather than insisting on how he wants to see human activity.
