Sorry, off topic but my partner and i watch all your videos, usually together, so we say the name of your channel fairly often when finding videos to put on etc. But for reason we're both bad about getting names wrong. I always say "Millenials are Killing the Capitalism Industry" and they somehow say something different each time, like "Capitalism is Killing Millenials" or more random things like "Capitalism is Over." Now it's like a thing and we have to try really hard to say it right. Just thought I'd share. 50:20 It seems to me that there is really scant evidence that Israel and the US are in fact targeting the Qassam Brigades or any of the armed resistance. Certainly, the IDF's own 'combat' videos, meant to showcase the 'heroism' of their death squads, offer no evidence of it. There are no Palestinian fighters to be seen in any of them (usually they're just emptying mags into empty rooms or demonstrating that nobody ever taught them what fields of fire are). By all accounts, it appears that the IDF are actively avoiding any engagement with the armed resistance and systematically targeting civilian population concentrations. It's the resistance chasing after them, not the other way around. I also can't help thinking that the openly genocidal nature of the current US-Israeli assault on Gaza - and increasingly the West Bank - has played a major role in weakening the demonisation of Palestinian armed resistance and the organisations responsible for it. Examples of this include the way the inverted red triangle - the target marker in resistance videos - has become a popular symbol of Palestinian solidarity in social media (leading Berlin to officially ban the shape) and the level of enthusiasm that can be seen for Jon Elmer's weekly segment on the resistance on the Electronic Intifada live stream. That is, of course, anecdotal, but, having been involved in Palestinian solidarity activism for over two decades now, I can't remember a time when people in the West spoke so openly in support of Palestinian armed resistance and showed such an interest in it.

People adapt to their environments, and the norms of this social environment are dystopian, so people adapt to survive in a dystopia. Human nature is adaptive and cooperative, so what people see as human nature is nothing more than the adaptations. Just like the racism in the case. It doesn't change the outcome to identify it, but it is important to know that humans can definitely be/do better than this. We can do better, but it takes all of us to organize and democratically dismantle the systems that keep us in a dystopia. 23:30 As it should. In a society where money is everything and atrocities and brutality are accepted, the most heinous things should be the most costly so that if nothing else people may eventually be convinced that the cost is not worth it. At the VERY least. Death sentences shouldn't exist, but while they do they should never be cheap, because that makes it easier and more likely for those in power to resort to it...and glorify it in the culture wars. I used to be on the other side of this issue before my leftward shift. The ease with which people on the right are able to make the inhumane feel righteous is...dangerous. It's addictive to regularly believe that the easiest solutions with the worst consequences are the best solutions simply because you don't see the victims as people; you see them as numbers or as "others." Even/especially when you believe that you aren't a bigot, that you're actually "the least bigoted person." The inhumanity of being on the right is hard to deprogram from.

Everything we've gotten from Democrats came at the cost of mass demonstrations disrupting things to the point where they can't ignore it any longer. When people like AOC and the people on The Majority Report (and other left-leaning channels) talk about "the conditions of resistance/protest," and how they can "work with" Harris and Democrats, all of this is what they really mean; nothing comes of it, because the people talking about the conditions aren't the ones protesting/resisting. They just don't want to lose their comfortable conditions. They "agree with you in principle, but now is not the time..." Like MLK Jr said of the "white moderate." There's always some other issue that takes precedence, some other issue that we all need to rally behind while putting off the "less important" issues. Less important issues like genocide. Like police brutality. Like all of the things Democrats do that they use to scare everyone into unconditionally supporting them by saying that Republicans will do it, too (but worse). Like more nationalism, more crackdown on immigration, more crackdown on homelessness, more support for police, more militarism, etc etc etc. Like someone else said (paraphrased) "I don't want to hear about Project 2025, I want to hear about Project 2024! Project 2025 is happening NOW under a Democrat!" And also to quote that person (paraphrased), "Republicans may be the lesser evil, but Democrats are the more effective evil because you don't even know they're your enemy so you don't fight back."
