As a Las Vegas local, thanks for showing me things I never knew existed LOL
OK I did know about good old Icky
Justin did the same thing for me when he visited Lowell Arizona, right next to Bisbee.
I had been to Bisbee many times but never drove 2 miles down the road to see Lowell.
Justin is like a landmark detective!
Most people think of Vegas as "The Strip" and maybe the Hoover Dam but there's so much more to it. Great video Justin.
"Cougars on the strip" 🤣😂
Have you ever been to the Pinball Hall of Fame? Free entry and SO MANY GAMES. Old, modern, arcade, pinball. It's amazing! It's right off the strip.
Me and my family went right before new years. It is indeed super sweet!
I'm a pinball enthusiast and I've never heard of this that sounds awesome
What a fun one! I took my son to that museum when he was about 6 and we were visiting Las Vegas. I also took him to the Children's Museum nearby. Great memories!
Justin in a museum just makes me happy
Love that you’re showcasing places off the strip. Check out Springs preserve for a boomtown/history museum and Clark county museum which has old trains and homes! Would be great to see your take on those!
Fascinating museum. When I was very young my grandparents took me to Canada and at the museum we went to, my grandmother was arguing with the security guard that it wasn't fair to show a mummy that she felt should be buried and not disturbed. It was so funny especially to watch my grandfather walk away because he didn't want any part of grandmas ranting. This is one of your best videos. It held my interest from the very start. P.S. great going!
California’s fossil is Mel Brooks! 😎 GREAT VIDEO!!!
Love the Museum of Natural History.
Thank you Justin!! This was such an awesome video! I love this! More like this!! ❤❤❤
absolutely loved seeing this video as a local, ive been so many times including the one in the beginning so this was so nostalgic 🥲
there also is the atomic museum if you havent been!
Wow! I can't believe the Luxor donated their entire exhibit to the Natural History Museum. I just went to the Luxor exhibit a couple weeks ago with a friend expecting this , like when I was a kid, but it was totally different. It looked cool, but I preferred this version. Thanks for putting this video up! Way cheaper way to show my kids why I have a random King Tut obsession. 😅
Talk about the perfect idea for a "Night at the Museum" reboot!
This museum brings back so many memories! I've lived on Vegas my whole life. I've been to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum when I was little. Surprisingly, nothing has changed. I remember when there was a place where you were trying to find Nemo next to the dinosaur animatronics. My favorite part of this museum was the dinosaurs.
Thank you for the hilarious commentary. Needed it today!
If you stayed overnight everything will come alive! In all seriousness you should definitely go to Egypt which is also in Africa - I've been to Tut's tomb and seen him in person and it was amazing!
You really saw king tut in person? 😂
I remember seeing this exhibit back at the Luxor many years ago. I wondered what happened to all the items? I'm happy they were able to recontinue this exhibit for another generation.
I love this place. Spent many days of my childhood at this museum.
Justin, you need to go to the Ciro museum. It will blow your mind. It is nothing like you have ever seen. You will never forget what you get to see. It is so far above what you think it would be. Really try to go. It's once in a life time thing. Nothing will ever top it.
I grew up in Northern New Jersey and have been to the Museum Of Natural History in Manhattan several times, both as a kid and as a young adult. Oddly, my favorite part of the museum there was always The Hayden Planetarium, in a different building there but part of the same complex.
It’s nice to see that your wife is apparently doing well.
I enjoy your videos.
I’ve been watching your videos for quite a number of years. I’m not sure how long but quite a while now.
I remember when the King Tut exhibit was at the Luxor!
There's so many museums in Vegas...go to the Waterworks Spring Preserve, Boomtown 1905, Trails, and Nevada State Museum too.
You should check out the springs preservation next time you’re out there. It’s so cool, and so much to do 😊
Hope you and Ally are safe from the fires! ❤
Great museum
That was really nice, I'm going to have to ty and visit the next time in Vegas. My wife and I love natural history museums having been to the one in LA (of course) as well as one in San Bernadino and Arizona. I'm rather surprised that I missed this one, although I did visit the one in the Springs Preserve complex. The next time you're in Vegas, you should definitely check out the Springs Preserve, it's not just one thing but several different things on the same property and all accessible for just one admission price. You should take Ally there, she might like it,
Duuude! I was just explaining the marvin the martian thing to my kids the other day as we walked by the old warner bro store, which is now Hollister. Tried to explain painting on an old PC by pushing color buttons and then selecting them on the screen and how that was a marvel of technology then! Remember the gremlins hidden in the rafters??
I remember the Marvin the Martian ships from the Warner Bros. store!
Love a natural history museum! Is it creepy or awesome that it's empty?? We were throwing around the idea of planning a trip to Las Vegas, so thanks for sharing more family friendly things to do there!
Question: Why Axolotl popularity?
Answer: Minecraft
Behold, the power of videogames
Good video Justin! On my way to Vegas and had no idea of this place. Do you think someone at the Luxor had to ask for their Mummy back? 😂 oh yea, CA State Fossil …SAVER TOOTH CAT!
thanks for tour Justin
The next time you're in Florida go to Gainesville to the natural History Museum and be sure to visit the butterfly rainforest
31:54 ITS CYCLOPS!!!!
So unpopular opinion: why do we give Tutankamun the cutesy nickname "Tut"? Does Ramses get called "Rammie?" Do Roman Emperors get familiar nicknames? It seems disrespectful, even though he was such a minor king comparatively. Why isn't Tutankamun's iconic golden mask included? As the collection is second hand, maybe that was the one piece the Luxor kept hold of - maybe ended up as a souvenir for some executive, or it's decorating an office somewhere. The museum looks awesome though! Totally making the most of the material.
I think kids tend to either be into Dinosaurs or Trains... I was a train kid!
I remember going to this museum as a kid when we lived in Las Vegas, but I mostly went to the Clark County museum in Henderson my family moved out of Las Vegas and we moved there I also went to high school in Henderson
Look into Tule Springs.
HA HA, You’re showing stuffed giraffes, elephants, lions AND Adam is showing pelicans, loose dogs, cats, fish , on an island I never knew existed……TWO TRUE HISTORIANS! And a pelican is hanging out with Adams straw hat! 🙏🏽❤️
I was last in Vegas in 1998. I thought that Egyptian exhibit looked familiar. I saw it when it was at the Luxor.
As a RUclips producer you got to admit it is so nice not to have people in any kind of museum you go to especially one
that has really cool replicas of King Tut's tomb there! I bet (ha-ha) most Las Vegans don't know what is in this museum. Awesome visit Justin.
It's too bad the Liberace museum no longer exists. You would have loved it.
California State Fossil is the sabertooth
This place without a crowd is pretty creepy.
gotta check the fish tank that have at the Silverton.
California's state fossil is the Saber-toothed cat or Smilodon californicus.
🎵 Born in Arizona, moved to Babylonia, King Tut!🎵
If u come to maine u can see moose at the gray animal farm gray maine
I looked this up😮- California Academy of SciencesCalifornia's official state fossil is the saber toothed cat, Smilodon californicus
“What is that, look at the size….”
That’s the big horn sheep. Our state animal.
Saber Toothed Tiger AKA Saber Toothed Cat AKA Smilodon (they are all purty kitty cats to me).
❤
i wonder if he was by himself in that museum?
I'm not quite sure of the name but it's pretty interesting, the nuclear history museum in Las Vegas.
So you didn't have your wallet! Does that mean you didn't have your drivers license either! Justin you bad boy!
I find it odd with King Tut dying in 1300 something ,should have a cross within his tomb area,, as is shown in a. room there. Did a cross have any significance to the inhabitants in that time zone? Anyone know? 🙏🏽❤️
Actually, Justin the U.S., state you want to go to for seeing real M live Moose in the wild in their natural habitat, is Maine.
King Tut is famous because of the Steve Martin song.
Steve Martin wrote the song to make fun of commercializing King Tut, so the song only exists because he was already famous.
That song definitely kept ‘70s Tutmania going.
Fyi that gold mask wasn't King Tut, it was his brother. He died so suddenly they didn't have his death mask ready, so they used his brother's.
Lived in vegas my whole life. Never knew about this. Lol no wonder it’s dead in there
Nobody goes to Vegas for museums
If you didn't have your wallet, does that also mean you didn't have your driver's license?
Do I need to be scared?
