Fun fact: Sohyang won this competition six consecutive times in 2017! She said in an interview that she had to sort through about 400 different songs between every show in order to find one song that was suitable for her. She competed in seven shows, so she sorted through around 3,000 songs in that period of time! And the entire time, from 2016 to 2020, she was battling eight distinct bouts of pneumonia! As she says, if you want to sing like her you must work very, very hard. 😯👀💥💘

Misty from begin again korea is Jazz that you also can't miss. Heck one singer next to her has to laugh and cover his mouth after the one phrase. The female singer in the other side of her has tears running down her cheek by the end. It's pure bliss.

That's one thing that makes me sad when I think of the difference between the American and Korean Mask Singers. Korea has its absolute best singers and most famous performers. While there have been a few very talented American performers, most of the time they seem to cast for comedic purpose.

Thanks for your enthusiasm on Sohyang and her name is So with soft S sound and Hyang with H sound + yah like Yahoo + ng. It looks like you cut out a lot of the song. I was just wondering if it was on purpose or a mistake. Perhaps the length of your video, but at least I listen to reactions to hear the reactions. So I prefer hear all your opinion about this song or Sohyang. About the nasal sound, I have no intention of defending Sohyang, but to me, it's a technique she uses time to time, and it sounds good to me. Some people don't like her due to that, but I think it's just an excuse to be negative about her.

The only advantage the American version of The Mask Singer has over the Korean is that the costumes on the US show are much higher quality. Otherwise the talent level is so much higher on the Korean version
