WOW!! That's one big amazing work of art! Is it just me or in real life cities of this size would have a much larger population size?
Normally, cities like this would have 10 million citizens due to overpopulation. But for decent traffic flow, I think 200k population is the maximun number before a city gets overpopulated

yes. it bugs me so much how one of the marketing points for CS2 was more realistic population and it still isn’t realistic
I don't think so. Yes, the cities that look like this are much bigger but it is just because it looks so big in the game because of all the skyscrapers. The scale of the cities in the game don't quite come close to cities in real life with say over a million population. Try measuring the diameter of cities in the game and compare them to the diameter of cities in real life. The maximum diameter in the game of a map is about 18km while the diameter of Chicago (city proper) e.g. is about 45km when measuring in Google Maps
I think a city like this could be like over a million in my opinion or 3 mill its just my guess

a great city but i think a signature skyscraper like cn tower or something like that would be amazing if you could add that somewhere
I only have an i7-7900 and an rtx 2070 so my simulation has basically frozen before I hit 200k, so this amazes me

Cuz my pc specs are i3 9100t gtx 1650 super and 8gb ram. I just hit 300k population and I get 15fps minimum. Textures and most settings are high except for level of detail and volumetric quality and depth of field are disabled and low

What are the graphic settings you have in the game?
And what are the components of your PC that make it work so fluidly with that amount of people and textures?
I with a 4070ti and an i512600kf barely reach 60fps stable with everything on low
300k city same map , rx 7900xtx 2k wide monitor medium setting about 20 to 30 fps but game is so slow down that is unplayable.

Yes! The map is Barrier Island.
How do they avoid having tremendous traffic throughout the city?
I originally had only one highway entrance into the city and traffic was a big problem. I created an extensive underground highway network that alleviated most of my highway traffic but there are still some spots that give me trouble. Managing traffic in this save has definitely been challenging.
I never see any traffic in videos of CS2, it seems like traffic spawn works weird in this game.

The fps on this save is pretty slow. it takes a while for any significant amount of time to pass in game.
can I ask your spec
mine using R5 7600, 32GB and rtx 4070, really slowed at 150k pops

@@noellwhelan i9-13900k, 64gb, 4080. About 200k is where performance started to become very noticeable for me and by 300k it was considerably slowed down.
My city was so slow at 165k 😭
The footage is sped up so it appears smooth. Don't feel bad.
