Woot-WOOOOOOT!!!! Congrats sis on your white coat ceremony! I'm finishing grad school next week as well. I just started my micro loc journey yesterday so my pics will be a bit "scalpy". 😫 Congrats to both of us on this major milestone in our lives! ❤️
Omg I was literally just thinking about retwisting my microlocs but I was trying to find some inspiration for how they would turn out. I have about 290 locs and couldn’t find anyone with a number close to mine. They look great ✨
I was just looking at my microlocs saying to myself "damn. I really wanted that big bold loud disrespectful volume. I should have done them smaller" because it has a very sleek look. But whilst I'm saying that I remembered you and yours. I came on here not even remembering why I did lol then I saw you and your gorgeous sleek locs and felt better about mine not being as disrespectful as I wanted it to be❤.
Yep! volume is lovely, but we werent all born with high density, thick hair, and that is okay too. I have definitely grown to love my sleek locs. They are easy to care for, and they compliment my small head lol
@@NapsAreTheNewBlack very true! I have thick hair but not that much density I guess. I really love your locs. They're soooooo pretty and black. How do you get rid of buildup and lint? I do ACV and baking soda. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong, but it sure does have buildup in my locs still at the front and nape.
If you want to see the back of your head, all you need is a tripod, an HDMI adapter for your phone/iPad/camera to connect with your tv. Place the device on video, zoom in, set tv to the right hdmi setting and you will have a giant mirror zooming in on your parts.
I know this is super late but congrats, doctor!!! Thank you for this video. I’ve been researching and decided on braidlocs with palm rolling to maintain so this video helped a lot to let me know that (with a little gel for my texture), it is doable.
I'm researching locs because I decided to get them as a long term protective style. I absolutely love your locs the length, size all of it. They are beautiful and you are stunningly beautiful. Thanks for helping me learn about what to expect when I do decide to get my hair twisted to loc. Take care!
Congratulations on your White Coat achievement. Your hair is lovely and you did an excellent job. I enjoy watching your videos even though I'm not loc'd. I do however share your videos with my recently loc'd daughter. I hope you enjoyed your special day💜
Love Mel, For a sec I thought you wouldn't show him to us🤣 Luv the twisting & the purpose for it...quite ingenius to unrevel to interlock...I really can't imagine twisting mine, too much work for me
Your hair is so, so beautiful ! Like perfect, no thinning or nothing. Beautiful ❤ I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you and congratulations on your white coat ceremony!
Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t WAIIIITTTTTT 😭😭😂! First, congratulations on your white coat ceremony! Such an accomplishment. I LOVE to see it! Second, your hair continues to amaze me. Every time I listen to people telling me what can go wrong, I watch your videos and see what can absolutely go right!! Your hair is amazing and so is your personality!
Your hair looks really good. I haven't seen anyone locs look so uniform before. My daughter wants locs but she is 13 so hopefully once she gets a little older I'll consider getting her them if she still asks for them when I think she is really sure that what she wants to do with her hair.
This is the video I needed to see today! I'm almost due for my second retie/retwist & really feeling through my hair & noticing how some sections clearly grow much faster than others to the point where I'm wondering 🤔 did I even interlock this last time? Lol Your hair is soooooo beautiful & congrats on your white coat ceremony! What a great achievement! 🙌🏽💜🙌🏽
Hmm 🤔 You have given me something to think about. I’ve thought about incorporating this with my interlocking, but didn’t want to add product to my hair. Oil and water is cool though! I just hate the ideas of losing it all on wash day. I may try it at least once. TFS! 😃
I have braid locs going on 2yra 4 months medium size… If I even decided then it would be micro locs instead because of more bigger… This is the first to see someone twist the micro locs instead of interlocking… maybe one day I may switch over who knows🤗
Your locs are seriously so perfect and beautiful 😍! Thank you for sharing your routine with us. I just did my 2nd retwist on my daughter’s small locs and they came out great🤗!
@@NapsAreTheNewBlack You’re welcome 💕! She had been asking me for a whole year so I finally said I’d do them for her next birthday. Mind you, she’s only 5 so she’s a pretty determined little girl😂🥰! But she tells me every day that she loves them- 3 months in so far for her🤗!
1st of all, congratulations on your journey in the medical profession, *You are beautiful *I love the way you explained yourself * You have gained a new fan Sending hugs and love😘
Congrats on your white coat ceremony! I am considering getting locs. I am looking for the easiest way to maintain them myself, and I have been doing research on if retwisting is an option.
Yes! It's nice to see you doing your hair I do my own and is very also, how do I know? people are surprised when I tell him I do my own hair. It's so satisfying.
This video reminds me of older makeup videos I’ve posted. My orange cat would always be in the background. He recently passed away after my son was born. 17 years old 🥲💛🌈
Thank you so much for this video on retwisting loc’s! I have fast growing hair with a looser curl pattern. I interlock my hair once a month after each shampoo. I have found in two weeks I have half an inch of new growth all over my head and more down the center and back. My hair also grows outside of my loc’s. it is much easier for me to re-twist once a week with water and oil and I can keep my hair from traveling outside of the loc’s While I wait to shampoo and two point interlock my hair once a month as usual!
I loved all of these styles! I am almost 8 weeks with my braidlocs and I love them. I will try these styles for sure. I need to get me some more bobby pins though first lol
Congratulations are in order! As always these twists look so good and your even parting is amazing. I watched this as I retied my own microlocs. You are hair goals as I am 8 months on my journey. 🥰❤️
Hello Gorgeous, I'm sorry i'm just catching up, I've been searching on the right locs to install. Watching your channel and the size of your locs were perfect! 👏💕 my question is, how did you start your lock journey? did you braid and twist first? Then palm roll as they start to mature? I'd appreciate your feed back.
Your hair is beautiful! I am almost finished installing my two strand twist microlocs and am debating how to maintain. It's taken me 3 weeks and I'm still not finished, but really need to wash my hair. 1. Should I was first? 2. Could I use my aloe Vera & water mix💜🛼💜
