Back in my day I was quite the play boy at Subic Bay my girl friends dropped many a baby at Subic Bay. my adult kids are now doing their military service at Fort Magsaysay The troops are very scared and they are very frighten at Fort Magsaysay because of the heavy war problems in Europe and the Philippines with China. I don’t believe that for a second! Why? Mall near me 1/2 full middle of the week midday. I do laps morning and night. At night 7:30 or later food places are full, even more so on the weekend. They have money! Not sure where they get it? 2m php+ vehicles all over the place!

I'm in the top 1% of income earners in the world. It's no big deal here in America, in fact I feel quite substandard here in California and it's a challenge just to pay basic living expenses; but when I visit the Philippines I realize just how fortunate I actually am. In spite of this my wife dreams of living the simple life in the province.
I pretty much made at least 6 digits my whole career. I'm very comfortable in the US; in the Philippines I'd be filthy rich.
I think about this a lot as I get older, how fortunate I am to have the salary I make. Even though it’s expensive in California, you get what you pay for. We literally have access to everything here. Gratitude and humility is what I feel compared to how 95% of the world lives 🤙🏾

But nowadays, as l have electric and internet access, I can make myself comfy anywhere in the world. So what if I wait a week or two to get my Amazon stuff. Remembering the 60's or 70's it's still a real good set up!
