Good vedio but it is explanatory regarding thread type shocks but it would be great if you can do a video on a shock that is not thread type. Because here I have a big doubt how it's in the other type (non threaded type )as here the seal is secure in the threaded top and the central guide rod bushing is plush with seal along with O ring forming the roof of the compression chamber and the base valve form the bottom or the floor but it is not understood how the seal is secure in the non threaded shock, is held flush against the central guide rod bushing? before the edges are made into a collar by hammering above the seal. I just want to understand if the seal is supported by the central bushing in a flush manner

Theoretically every shock absorber could be overhauled the way I shared in this video. All you should do is go to some good machine shop and they must do the same procedure with your shocks to make them working again for you. For me this whole process was very low cost as the labour is not very costly here in my area. Wish you very good luck 😘 with your repair. Stay tuned.

if there is a mistake in rebuilding it, they can be easily sued in NZ. too much risk. Also, I think some of the shocks are made so you can't rebuild like this one.

Do not get it on your skin or it will take a few days to come off. Remember very small portions and layers.
