Fried goat meat with regular oil mixed then put it back in the Goma déssi avec amidjin (palm oil, mixed 2 different type of oil in one sauce or stew)? Never seen this type of cooking in Togo and I am born and raised. Just a remark!
Ellereinia I’m going to challenge that: we do not mix 2 oils, Agreed (no scientific bases, just don’t). Do fry fish and add it to GbomaDessi? Just PS, mix oils won’t kill you
I agree we used kalami ( fried fish) to cook fetri or adémè but I just never seen fried meat added to gboma déssi but hey it is innovative, to each it's own. About the mixed oils, no scientific backing on that theory and I guess it is all about every household.
Ellereinia 😉, I fry my meat because it seal the juice in the meat and it make it little crunchy. It’s totally optional... Keep in mind, I have to eat it 😊
True, never seen this type of cooking in Togo neither......seems more like some of this copied from Nigerian egusi stew. It's all african anyway so ok.
@@moniquewilson4521 no we don't generally fry meat if we are going to cook it in a soup like this. There might be exceptions but this is the first time I'm seeing someone fry the meat for a traditional soup and I am Nigerian.
Thank you
