People really underestimate Guerlain. One of the most important fragrance houses, founded in 1828 that was a family business until the 2002 LVMH buyout. They have created some of the most influential fragrances like Shalimar, Habit-Rouge, Vetiver and Heritage. Their L'art L'a Matiere is truly a niche collection. Really love the new tobacco honey
Ive only had one fragrance for a year or so but after watching your videos for a month and getting some samples to try new notes amd scent profiles on my skin I think im finally going to start actually getting into fragrances and building a collection. Definitely going to start on the cheaper end (hawas, light blue eau intense, explorer, etc) but thanks for the videos and concincing me to dive in!
Getting samples is really wise if you can't smell the fragrance in person. I spent $160 and blind bought 4 fragrances that are being hyped by one RUclipsr or another: Bogart's One Man Show (yuck), Rasasi Hawas - meh, Lalique Encre Noir - meh (although I can see why somebody would like it if they were into vetiver) and Terre d'Hermes (insanely good). I was really disappointed with Rasasi Hawas - so synthetic and sweet that it was embarrassing to wear (though It might work for people in middle school up to about 16 years old or so.)
@@dant.6364 yeah I was kinda leaning towards light blue intense because everytime someone describes hawas they describe it as "cotton candy" and I'm not sure I want to smell like that lmao
I absolutely agree, regarding Mr. Sam. Very modern and mass-appealing niche perfumery. Phenomenally made though. I receive lots of fruitiness from this formula. Very seductive I must say.
Mancera was my first niche house too, I have red tobacco, aoud cafe, aoud lemon mint, intense cedrat boise, instant crush and wild cherry and I love them all!
Omar, have you tried Toskovat perfumes? I've recently tried F7 and it's the best fougere i've smelt in a long time, I liked it more than Beau de Jour, think you would love it
I found an old bottle of L’Homme Ideal Extreme in Stockholm Arlanda Airport duty free last week and compared it with the new version I had on me and they smelled completely different to each other. New one is much better IMO.
What you said about niche being more artistic and not meant to attract the mass is true but it’s also true that niche fragrance also means that they only solely focus on making fragrances and nothing else that’s why designers are called designers for a reason cause they make clothing shoes bags etc
I got a decant of layton and cant stand it . And everyone ive had smell it dislikes it too. I dont get any apple pie. It smells synthetically sweet and feminine and makes me nauseous. Wonder if my decants a fake lol Naxos and side effect are two that everyone ive had smell loved ! Same with Elysium.
Great List, i absolutely love Pdm Layton and Penhaligon‘s Mr. Sam but the performance (maybe it‘s just my skin) of both is just not good enough for the price point :( I‘m getting around 4 hours from both.
I got minimal longevity from Layton at first too, but I revisited my decant a month later and it’s what you’d expect. I reckon you’d have the same experience unless you happen to hand sand skin
I do have layton bottle 125ml older batch and 75ml new batch. Both performs like crazy. 10+h on skin. Penhaligons whole portait line has horrible performance. 4 hours at max, which is dreadful for the price you pay. If you want best of that dna go check nishane - papilefiko
I have the portraits sample kit from Penhaligons. Agree that most have terrible performance, but with Mr. Sam, I found it lasted a long time,.. I got well over 12 hours longevity from it, and could still smell it when I went to bed. That was the only one to perform like that. To me it’s a little too sweet.
For layton, does the label/box matter? There is Layton Royal Essence with a striped box and there is Layton EDP with a plain solid color box. I am not talking about Exclusif, just the normal Layton.
Layton is good and smells nice. The way the scent evolves is very nice, but its not worth the money. It just smells good and nice like a lot of other way cheaper fragrances. It lasts very long tho.
I’ve seen bottles for 140 USD on the grey market. Not sure why ppl rate these fragrances according to retail value when there’s no need to pay full price
😅😅😅I was keen on it but I will try the Intense flanker OR just go for Stronger With You Tobacco which is the perfect balance of tobacco and other notes such as vanilla for my taste.
Sorry about the blur guys, first day on RUclips 🤦♂ will aim to fix it for future uploads!
You'll get better with time. I remember my first video.
Didn't know Andrew Tate was a fraghead.
It’s soft focus ❤
@@zonunthara4812it’s getting pretty unfair to continue telling this man he looks like a sex trafficer , it’s an extreme insult

I must say that out of all fragrance youtubers, you always give the most interesting recommendations, more of niche perfumes. Love it!
Really enjoy listening to you Omar..::especially when I’m making my weekly long drive to my work site
My friend Rowan Rugtab recommend Xerjoff Naxos and 40 Knots, and they’re both amazing!
I like the new background! Better than having you in the shadows of overhead light.
I have TF OL and have not considered as a niche stepping-stone, abso luv this

@@TheSickGman09don’t get blue jeans lol. Many better options
That Guerlan gets me compliments. Every. Single. Time.
Glad to see you with a beard again Omar! It really suits you!
I am glad you didn't mention Naxos. That one gets a lot of hype as a lovable niche fragrance but I find it very mature smelling, almost a fougere.
Yeah that one and Alexandria II are not what I would call crowd pleasers in the modern era
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
Good evening Omar, what is the most mature fragrance from the Chanel brand in your opinion? Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Could you please review all Acqua di Parma male fragrances?.. or at least Blu Mediterraneo line?
I absolutely agree, regarding Mr. Sam. Very modern and mass-appealing niche perfumery. Phenomenally made though. I receive lots of fruitiness from this formula. Very seductive I must say.
My first Niche is Mancera Red tobacco it's 🔥 stuff.

Dusk by the Woods collection....✌️
Layton the best✌️My absolute favorite✌️
Man, pls review pegasus, is till worthy for now?
No xerjoff? I got decants of naxos, jtc 4000, and 40 knots. My god 2 sprays last forever
could you do a top 5 parfums vintage video?
Best T shirts can you tell the glasses company
any thoughts on initio's paragon? Kinda wanted a day use niche fragance and this one caught my attention
Phenomenal fragrance
For me the most safest oud is Oud for Greatness from Initio .. trust me
Noir Extreme Parfum, and Prada Lhomme Intense are niche I would say
Disagree with that Niche definition.
You can argue every fragrance is artistic, if everything is Niche then nothing is
Niche is purely a subjective term, it was more of a ‘movement’ in the early 2000s, than a strict definition 🤷♂️
You used to hate le labo, What changed Omar?
roja elysium is also very safe
i use layton in the gym lately.. i think it's ok despite being a bit on the gourmandy side. It has this fresh feeling though, makes it very versatile
Hell nah
Chrome
Guerlain is an anderrated brand. They are good also cheaper.
Welcome back with beard and mustache 😂
Ombre leather parfum > ombre leather
got complimented on Percival while in the elevator literally today
🔥🔥
Never understood why anyone would like walking around smelling leather 😂
Aoud Lemon Mint. Easy
First 😮💨
Histories De Parfum - This Is Not A Blue Bottle 1.1
👍👍
Sample Layton first , off my shin it smells like cheap vetiver deodorants.
Im sorry, skin or SHIN?
👍👍👍👍
Safe and niche is an oxymoron. If people want safe then buy designer fragrances. If a niche is mass appealing then it’s not niche.
#freepalestine
No amouage😮
Too expensive m8
The most beginner friendly Amouage would be Reflection Man, don’t think the rest would fit the video
Red tobacco is definitely not a blind buy safe, absolutely disgusting . Smells like shisha. Like you been at shisha lounge whole day and night
😅😅😅I was keen on it but I will try the Intense flanker OR just go for Stronger With You Tobacco which is the perfect balance of tobacco and other notes such as vanilla for my taste.
le labo is the most overpriced and overhyped fragrances.
Generally I agree but I enjoy another 13
@@SchoolOfScent I found morecule 01 better and makes my fragrance last longer. much love buddy
Safest aka BORING . Pdm and mancera need to 🪦
