“Don’t blind buy niche fragrances unless you’re a millionaire” me who has blind bought over 15 bottles of niche fragrance and is nowhere near to being a millionaire 😐
Yeah. I've blind-bought pretty much all of my collection, and have has a 85-90% success rate. Realistically, I haven't really lost much more money considering the cost of buying high-end samples of all the bottles I have.
Some of my most popular niche fragrances which everybody should smell once are: 1. Amouage reflection men 2. Initio parfum Oud for Greatness (and also Side effect or Rehab) 3. Roja Oligarch (and also Elysium or A Midsummer Dream) 4. Navitus Intimus 5. Nishane B-612 (a very safe Fougère even tho it sounds weird)
Ah yes I remember smelling amouage reflection for the first time! I felt transported to a futuristic white room in the afterlife lol There's something about it that stands out so much
A very good video. I have blind purchased every niche fragrance that I own. I also must say I love every one and wear all of them. I love Red Tobacco so much that I wear it during the summer. I think Mancera(Red Tobacco, Instant Crush, Oud Exclusive, Cedrat Boise)and Montale(Black Aoud)should be the first two houses you start with. Very long lasting and beast mode performance. Xerjoff (Naxos, 40Knots, More than words) would be next on my list. Then Amouage (Beach hut man, Interlude Man)followed by Tiziana Terenzi(Ursa). I own Bond no.9 (Scent of peace for him)
I have a tendency to over do it when it comes to cautiously buying fragrances. I go to every mall and every scent counter everywhere and get samples of everything. I’ll smell a fragrance 5 times and do 2 skin tests and watch 10 reviews before I purchase a SAMPLE. I’m afraid of buying a 100mL and next season not loving it. My personal rule is not to have more than 12 full sized bottles. I currently have 3 open spots. I just purchased FULL SIZE Montale Oudmazing. To ME it’s mind blowingly beautiful and perfect for Fall/Winter. For me to get a full size it has to be. I’ve got several 5mL samples and smell great everyday…But I want more. The addiction is taking hold 🤣😂🤣
Great list. PDM Percival was my first niche scent. PDM Layton was my second. Other PDMs followed. So many gorgeous scents ... I then went on to explore their sister house Initio. Same story here: so many nice scents. Can't have them all. 😅Naxos is my second Xerjoff. Oh man, I love it. Haven't tried 40 Knots or Torino 21, yet. But I will for sure...
Funny watching this because the first ever major expense purchase for me was aventus before it got too common and less niche. Then I discovered PDM and bought their discovery pack with Layton which I loved. After that I wanted something really projecting and got rouge 540 which lasts on clothes 24+ hours. Good to see all three in the recommended.
definitely agree with the green irish tweed take. cool water smells extremely synthetic to me. reminds me of laundry detergent synthetic. green irish tweed definitely a must try
Id ignore Omar on this one. If you going Niche dont bother with 540, Aventus, Ltn they just too close to safety. Just sample Red Tobacco, Tuscan Leather, Naxos, Oajan.... if you going into the rabbit hole just dive and know if its for you or not.
I agree with you. I’d add -don’t buy ANYTHING that you can sample in the store unless it makes you crazy with excitement when you smell it….and even then-only buy a decant. Trust me! You are going to find something you like more. I’m not spending $300 on 100mL BR540. In stead I’ll spend $200 and get 5 to 7 (5mL or 9mL) decants and have so much variety to choose from. I’ll spend a day and go Store hopping and end the day with 20 samples of designer fragrances and now I’ve got 4 months of fragrance to test and try. I thought I’d LOVE❤️❤️ Reflection Man. I don’t. I like it a lot. Glad I only spent $30 and it will be all used up by the time the seasons change.
@@persephonesdad5792 yes Sampling allows you to access the high end and also to keep trying new things. When you find something you know you cant do without then u buy full bottle.
Great list, i would not suggest Mancera's at first try. Also, 40 Knots is not the brightest bulb in Xerjoff chandelier. I would add Reflection Man and Oud for Greatness. maybe. Tuscan Leather?
Yeah I agree with you about Layton! I also get that vibe and I just cant shake it off, it's the Geranium, once I realised it I could sense it in all other geranium fragrances and now stay away from the note whenever purchasing a fragrance 👍
I think everybody should test PDM Percival one of my favourite fragrances in my collection. If you like Montblanc Legend and/or Fitch Fierce you will like it. Its a niche version of them super good. I cannot really imagine anybody disliking this scent its a beastmode and its all year rounder. Safe blind buy Imo.
Very different fragrances. 40 Knots is a woody, salty and heavy “aquatic” or marine smell with an amber base suitable for summer and spring and maybe fall if it’s not too cold Alexandria 2 is a heavy oud and rose combo best used in the winter and fall and in formal occasions IMHO. They both have beast mode performance easily more than 12 hours longevity. Alexandria 2 is more expensive and less versatile than 40 Knots.
Alexandria is not as wearable imo. It smells like a smokey posh bar of soap, but I feel like there is a sharp incense that is headache inducing at times. Can't deny how strong and long lasting it is though.
@@rw7424 Agree..Icant find an ocassion to wear it..its sooo damn dark...too rich..its like a leather juice with oud and coffee and tobacco..maybe if Im next James Bond..Also 40 Knots is Nivea hand cream :)
of the NICHE fragrances I have tried, I really like Rojas Elysium, Nishane B612 (mid projection, but long lasting), several of PDM like Greenley, Sedley, and Harod... I want to try Layton, Percival, and Carlisle...
Bought Dior Amber Nuit , and Xerjoff Alexandria ii. Both leaned far to feminine for my tastes. Soon as I smelled both I instantly thought these are for females. Luckily returned Amber Nuit as it had no feeder tube from the fragrance to the atomiser. Took a loss selling the Alexandria ii on though. I like unisex don't get me wrong but these two nope to feminine for me.
Hi Omar. Can you sample Oman Luxury and discuss it your channel? It’s another premium brand from Oman but less popular than Amouage. I think their fragrances are more wearable than Amouage and they are also as intense. I currently have their Oud Aquilaria (nose: Dominic Ropion) and I am enjoying it. 2 sprays max. I tested one of their summer offerings (Wanderlust) and it lasted more than 24 hours. When I threw my trash with the test strip, it was able to spread the scent to the entire pack of trash. Kind of crazy for a freshie. I think that will be my next full bottle purchase from that house.
I like the idea for this video. But there are several that I really dislike and wouldn't recommend for anybody: Cedrat Boise, Oud Wood, Aventus, and BR 540. I find these Really unpleasant (or cloying - Br540). I avoid getting anything similar to them for the men in my family. I know a lot of people like them but... I think part of being niche is that a fragrance appeals to a certain segment of the population but is not mass appealing.
For niche: Parfums De Marly - Sedley. Designer: Dolce & Gabbana Light Bleu Eau Intense. Those 2 are great, I live in South Florida where it is almost always hot and humid and they work great.

No two ways about it. Classic example being gentle fluidity silver, dior homme intense and musc ravaguer. Hate em.

TF Tobacco Vanille is the best gourmand fragrance 👍🏻
Nishane Ani is better
Then you havent tried much at all
Herod or Spicebomb extreme !

I’m getting ready for more niche, this was a good video.
I generally agree, but you didn’t include anything by Nishane ?
I got 40 knotts (100ml) for only £135 from allbeauty and it was an amazing bling buy
Yep got it from there too haha it’s a steal
@Bigb haha i just saw the typo
The heck they don't ship to US
I absolutely agree according to Xerjoff. Phenomenal perfumery. Xerfoff Homme is a beautiful chypre musk fragrance, what an art..
Montale Oud Dream is an epic beginner oud

Tobacco Vanille smells like Christmas to me for some reason. 🎄
Spicebomb extreme to, smells cozy and warming, with an inviting smell

I’m a huge fan of Givenchy Pi, So the natural progression was to upgrade to PDM Pegasus. That being said I like “PI” better.
Love watching your videos! Can you make a short on what you think of the issey miyake original please! My favourite scent! Cheers 👌
Excellent info., it’s a big help.👍
I like 40 knots, it has different facets. But blind buy is always risky:))
Indeed 😅
Great list! I don't have an objection to a single one of those.
Naxos and 40 Knots are in my 4-sample order from Xerjoff but for now I'm taking Edition Blanche and Missoni Wave to Greece with me.
Loved this review

Naxos is so Good.
Also tried Oud Satin Mood today, also Insanely good. BR540 is overrated imo, or more like too expensive for what it is
Surprised you didn’t mention Byredo Black Saffron
Hey Omar...What would you recommend? 40knots or Layton ?
4:15 Layton is NOT powdery AT ALL. Maybe you own a fake, or maybe a bad sample.
Do u think worth buying Naxos if already have tobacco Vanille?
They’re significantly different even though they’re both based around Tobacco, try Naxos first through a sample or in store
Layton Exclusive!

4 straight up classics
out of all the hypes... i understand layton the least... to the point id rather wear sauvage then layton xD
Why would anyone want to smell like leather shoes…I personal hate leather scents.
Omar have you tried penhaligons halfeti leather it’s insane my favourite nishe fragrance at the moment.
Love Halfeti Leather. Also Blazing Mr sam and Babylon
I havent, definitely need to!
Very good informative video :)
Alexandria II is too expensive 😭
Haltane by pdm is also great. Smoother, gourmandish oud for greatness.
I tried erba pura and im an addict now
Try Erba Gold
would you review storie veneziane , verda erba ? i bought it to my collection its very niche but wow impressive
Subscribed 🙏🏼
Yo! Can you please review the fragrances from Cristiano Ronaldo.
They suck.
Is Tom Ford really considered as niche if Tom Ford also makes other things besides fragrances. ??
It’s more niche than most niche houses
NO. Tom Ford is a DESIGNER who later got into fragrances.
What’s your favourite PDM Omar?
Currently, Layton Exclusif
Could please give alternative for dior fahrenheit parfume, but cheaper?
Please suggest me a fresh clean and refreshing fragrance..
For niche: Parfums De Marly - Sedley. Designer: Dolce & Gabbana Light Bleu Eau Intense. Those 2 are great, I live in South Florida where it is almost always hot and humid and they work great.
What’s going on with his own fragrance nowe
If I remember correctly, he said he was aiming to have have it by August
Or fall, I forgot which one tbh
This is not a winning bear style for you. Makes you look much older
TF is a Designer Fragrances with a Niche price.
hi where can i get Xerjoff Oud Alexandira ii in canada ?
Anyone who says i didnt like Layton initially, i mean. Oh well.
How is TF private blend niche? Shouldn’t this be on the designer section!

Tom Ford is designer not niche.
TF private line is commonly thought of as niche-level within the community...
It's easy to forget.
Absolutely NOT! GIT SUCKSSS. I have og 80s coolwaters. GIT is a dumbed down flatter cool water with no mint or aquatic notes. BORING.
Agreed
Hate to break it to you, but GIT came before Cool Water, and the difference in quality is night and day. So….
Tom Ford aint niche. They sell tuxedos
That is not the definition of ”Niche”.
DO NOT buy Armaf Milestone - Bought it and it is terrible: very cheap smelling and very feminine 👎🏻
