- Geocell and Geogrid are both great products for erosion control, but have many differences.
Geogrid is a two-dimensional, planar reinforcement used to stabilize angular stone or gravel by interlocking the material within the grid. Geocell is a three-dimensional, cellular confinement system that confines material within its cells, reducing lateral movement, rutting and erosion, while boosting weight capabilities of the surface. Key differences covered in this video include variations of infill material, confinement performance, environmental components, installation processes, and overall reduction in material needed to achieve a stronger base. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS SIMPLE AND CLEAR EXPLANATION ! 🙏
i think old used tires with the sidewalls cut out are the best, yes you have to dig a deeper hole but the tire will last a lot longer and hold up longer.. JMHO....just my humble opinion
Thanks! You just saved me from making a big mistake.
What do you think of "mechanical concrete" using tires instead of this?
clear explanation of the benefits and application. no BS. thank you
Thanks for sharing! I'm curious about the differences between geocell brands like Presto Geosystems, Geoweb, or Backyard Bases. Can you provide any insights or recommendations based on your experience with these products? Thanks again for the informative content!
How do these fare with snowplowing? I'm fearful they will get ripped up...
How much different price Between geogrid and geocell?
is it possible to utilize waste plastic bottles as geocell?
I bet it you stapled them together it would be much better than nothing. Great idea!
Or your wife's old bras? Lol
I’m doing a 4” Geo Grid with grass, I am planning 2” of drainage rocks below the Geo Grid then 4” of top soil with seeds within the geo grid, does that sound correct?
Never used it and I can show you driveways we built in the 90s that are still in great shape. Got to know how to operate a motor grader. Slopes and drains.
Can pave directly on the goe grid?
Can this be used in a horse arena
I am doing a 60’ walkway on about a 20degree slope
The walkway is only going to be about 18” wide.
Two questions:
Am I able to cut this and lay out as needed?
Should I be good to top with any gravel just nothing smooth?
