One thing about traveling is that, I'll (at least) 90% of the time try to blend in, see, and try new things🌸, but I'm so cautious (almost too cautious) when it comes to food & drinks! I know it can be perceived as being rude (in some places), to not eat the food, but (very politely) I'll find a way to decline - smh. This can be a hindrance at times, but I (still) manage to have a wonderful time 🎉! Hmm good question about comparing the smell to something...nothing really comes to mind except that it's fermented so I suppose you could say it almost has a rotten smell, if that makes sense. Definitely worth a try and the cabbage and sauce are delish! ❤️

I’ve really enjoyed it I’ve wondered about this … when we lived in Paris my daughter’s best friend was from Shanghai and she always said the one thing she missed was stinky tofu! I’m like you maybe 🤔 probably worse with smells! It’s so acute my doctor reckons i should I work in the perfume industry I don’t even go anywhere near onions 🧅 or garlic 🧄 or fish or fatty meat when cooking Mind you I’m fine with stinky cheese🧀 😅 so I’m curious I think there are various recipes and the can vary a lot! I’m so sensitive that at times it’s really a handicap I get so nauseous Anyway that cheered me up 🫶🏼🙏🏼 Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧

I remember when the "Way Away" duo tried this...I was like no way...now I may have come around on it. But I have VERY touchy olfactory senses, so the less exposed to its aromatics, the better I suppose. lol Come to think, I don't believe I've ever had any kind of tofu

To the ppl who see this! The best why to eat it is u use chopstick poke a hole of the stinky tofu and put a pice pickled cabbage into it and then dipping it in the sauce and putting it to your mouth❤

The thing with Tofu is it has no real texture or flavour, if you imaging a jelly cube with no flavour. It’s the food you would give to someone you don’t like.
