This is beautiful! I've been searching and searching for a great galaxy tumbler so I can make one for my daughter. This is perfect! I'm so happy I found you. Your directions are so detailed and to the point! I love that! Thank you for the inspiration! I can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Thank you for this tutorial! I've struggled for a couple months with making a galaxy tumbler and so far, it's amazing! Just gotta add the glitter and resin.
Gorgeous! I have been wanting to try a galaxy tumbler but I could not find one I liked enough to use as inspiration until now. Thanks for sharing your creativity! 😁😍
This is soooo pretty! Ive just got an order for a galaxy/ northen lights tumbler in pink and purple.... ive never done one before and i was trying to work out how to get the effect of the pic she sent me. This will help me so much now and if turns out half as nice as yours i will be happy!
Hi!! I've been looking for a galaxy tumbler to buy, but I decided to make it myself 😄 and I have some ecopoxy that I used for other projects, do you think I can use that? It says it takes about 3 days to cure... thank you in advance!! And I just subscribed!
Where do you find the rainbow alcohol ink? I've did a google search for it and every place they suggested, I can find it. Is it just an ink or is it an additive? I can't find either. :-(
Hello I have a question, when we spray our tumbler in black with the white spots and once the acrylic paint drys and we apply the ink, the application of the ink is pulling the acrylic paint off, how do we stop this from happening ?
I don't use acrylic paint on these.. just the spray paint and inks. But since the inks contain alcohol, they can remove paint sometimes. I typically seal with clear spray paint after I've done my white spots and before I start adding inks. Hope that helps :)
It’s hard to tell from the video, but would you consider this a “girly” galaxy? I’m wanting to make one for my brother who is into space, but am curious if I should leave out the glitter and if it would look complete without it.
You could do it either way! My son loves glitter lol. But if that isn't your bro's thing, you can def leave out the glitter additive and just stick to the inks!
@@ShantasWorkshop one more question, is that shimmer like sparkly like glitter or like metallic? I have a little girl who hates pink and anything glitter.🥺
This is the best galaxy tutorial I've seen! Great job!!!
Thank you so much!

This is gorgeous. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you!
Stunning
Thank you!
Great easy tutorial. Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous 😍
Thank you!
So you go over all the little white spots as well? Or keep them white like stars ? I love this! Thank you so much!
I do a little of both!
What is the quick coat that you say you put on after your first coat of epoxy?
It’s a sealer from Counter Culture DIY called Quick Coat

I don't see why not!
If my tumble is already black should I sand it and then use the alcohol inks?
Hmm is it powder coated black? I would probably still sand and spray paint black otherwise
What did u do to make the stars again just added the twinkle & opal glitter to the epoxy?
Yep just Twinkl in epoxy, sprinkled a little Secret Opal from TGG and added a few star shapes randomly!
I found the Rainbow ink, thank you. What kind of decal did you put on? Could we see the finished product?
I have made a few this style! Some with quotes, some with names. Silver holographic vinyl looks really nice on it!

It's Marabu Rainbow Ink and www.theglitterguy.com carries it!

@@ShantasWorkshop thank you for your reply, when you say stay paint what type / brand do you use plz
@@shannondiack9236 I like Rustoleum 2X Clear gloss or semi-gloss
@@ShantasWorkshop thank you
How can I substitute the rainbow of I don't have that alcohol?
You definitely don't have to add the Rainbow ink! just spray more spots of white and add more blues and purples!
I’m new to all of this... can I achieve this with acrylic paint as well? (The galaxy part, not the black background)
You could use acrylic paint but I would maybe water it down a bit!
Amazing so beautiful. Trying to find the marabu magenta
Thank you! Check theglitterguy.com!
Awesome, thank you I just placed a order with the glitter guy.

Just being curious do u have to do a clear coat after the alcohol inks??
You definitely want to do a clear coat just in case your inks run!
This is beautiful. How do I become a member of your FB site? I've asked to join a couple times now. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!! Just make sure you're answering all of the questions!
@@ShantasWorkshop I did... The last one tho, does JJ share food was kind of off. :-)
Could I use Tim holts alcohol inks or do you recommend the one used in the video?
You can definitely use Tim Holtz!
@@ShantasWorkshop thank you soo much. I am absolutely in love with this tumbler. I want to try it soon!
@@shaelove03 this is def one of my favorites to make!
Can you use plain white alcohol ink with a little bit of mica shimmer?
I haven't tried that but I do think it would work! Especially with a chameleon mica that shifts on a black base!
Can u post what ink your using
Hello! They are listed in the video description. :)
Where did you get the rainbow
Hi! It's Marabu brand from www.theglitterguy.com
Did you epoxy your tumbler first?
Nope! Just spray paint and then spray with a clear gloss. Inks. Seal with the gloss spray again. Then epoxy :)
@@ShantasWorkshop thank you so much 😊

@@lindsayellis77 I'm just seeing this! The rainbow alcohol ink is more like a metallic shimmer!
