they beat Majima just after he found out that he and Sagawa were nothing more than puppets on Shimano's strings. Now he's through taking people's shit, be they assholes on the street or Patriarch Shimano himself
I disliked Sagawa throughout the game, but the line "finally out of his cage" really changed my opinion on him. Same with Kuze at the final fight with him
Sagawa is a weird character because there are two contrasting sides to him, business and personal. As a yakuza he has to keep Majima on his leash as it is his job and will do whatever he has to to complete his job. Business Sagawa is a stone cold yakuza willing to torture, beat and kill without remorse. However then you have Sagawa as a person. Sagawa deep downs likes Majima and want things to go well for him. Hence why the first chapter he is clearly trying to steer him away from the Yakuza, to quit, take off the lease and live a normal life one that Majima would excell at do to his natural management and business skills. Likewise Sagawa cautions Majima heavily about the depths of becoming a killer, that even though being willing to kill is a great way to climb the ranks it is also a damning thing that if possible should be avoided and this is likely based on his own experience. So by the time everything went to shit and Majima decides he will no longer be held back by some need to please others to get back into the Tojo and takes off the leash Sagawa is visible kind of happy about it. This is why people tend to have mixed opinions on Sagawa because he is both one of Majima's biggest problems but also supporters and as a player this creates dissonance in us.
Yeah it's weird I liked him too at the end it seems like the whole time he was doing things to just get Majima to stop taking orders and being trapped in his cage.

Majima gave them an inch and they wanted a foot...
Well, they got that foot... and a complimentary fist to go along with it!
I do like how Kiryu can become the dragon of dojima before kiwami 1. I mean when you unlock dragon of dojima even though Kiryu inst in dojima family at this point. but in kiwami he is so being the dragon of dojima makes sense. And same goes for Majima can't become a mad dog before this?
when this happened I actually got SUPER PISSED along with brother majima 💀💀💀
He finally stood up for himself
OOOOOOH DUUUUUUDEEE THE WAY HE JUST WALKS AWAY IS SO BADAAASS
Jesus fuck majima is stronger than i thought
Yall remember when Majima said "Im gonna be put in the looney bin taking care of these girls"
this was really cool, but i feel the "mad" part of his name wouldve really been better if he started stomping on one of their heads while doing his signature maniacal laugh before sagawa came and talked to him
That liver-punch was so beautiful
1:28 Never noticed that Kamoji was casually watching the fight.
Burst open the Gates of Hell
Ah yes back in the day where Majima looks way more badass than Kiryu
that’s a powerful walk
this was when majima said "its mad doggin time" and mad dogged everywhere
