In the kiwami cameo, he was sad of being reminded of the potential road not taken, but you can tell he is also relieved she's doing a lot better now, because she really deserves it.

Majima was willing to abandon his humanity just to get back to his clan and do his brother right. But instead he becomes more and more human because of protecting a girl with all his might and life, and be willing to abandon his humanity again for her even. It makes me shed a tear that Majima's path would never let him be with the one he loves. It's poetic, really. I'm currently on Yakuza Kiwami and despite how far I'm at I don't think Majima would make too big of a groundbreaking story changer. Spoiler: Knowing they'll meet again in Kiwami 2 gives me hope for him. Though I think I know what will happen

Nikishi and Reina then will tell who is Majima and what he tried to do just to search and protect Makoto. Then Makoto will have atleast a motivation/urges to search for him. After a long search, Makoto will go back to empty lot at night slowing remembering all the past events, and then when she looked up to the roof top she saw Majima walking and about to light a cig. Makoto ran and they have the moment or let say Makoto cries and Majima say the Takoyaki line lol.
There’s actually a really good fanfic that’s similar to this! It’s called “Chasing Cinderella”. It’s an 8 chapter story where Makoto and Nishiki team up after the story looking for Majima. Makoto is actually In line with how she is in the game(until the ending just removes the agency she developed in the game) and it feels like a bizarrely natural continuation of the OG story. Highly recommend!

There's a series of documentary videos on RUclips (Forging the Dragon I think) where they reveal that from the very first game they had to upscale the size of the characters' hands because otherwise you couldn't really see what was going on. Then because the hands were so big, they had to upsize objects like glasses and bottles too (whisky glasses look like mugs). Weirdly this seems to have been done for both men and women.
It was mainly because he was on a leash the whole time before the person that was controlling him got killed. Since he is free to do whatever he wants that’s why he’s like this now.
