Those GEO Trackers have a cult following. Crazy how popular they are. Great video!!!! Unbelievable that Tacoma didn’t have blown air bags. Ours was barely hit and had 6 blown airbags.
I won it but they wouldn’t release it. The seller wants $1200 before fees for a non runner that needs tons of work. The Taco was a pretty decent little truck. I was surprised the bags were good too!
Randy Your doing a great job showing the viewers/subscribes what to look out for at the yards. A viewer made a comment the keys for the QX can be reprogrammed with a autell scan tool tool. Watch JrGO has that scan tool..Before you bid on it, ask JR about that feature first. Then you will at least have a key..
Would be great to see that tracker on the channel ! Replacement key fobs for the Toyota and the infinity are very pricey ( 600.00 is not unheard of possibly more )
Trackers are great vehicles. We had two, one 4X4 and one 2X4. Great around town car, park anywhere and gets great gas mileage. The one you're looking at is a 2X4 by the way so not a super great off road vehicle, but still fun to drive...
Mother had a Geo Tracker in the early 2000's, that was an fun little truck! Probably the easiest shifting vehicle I've ever used, and it was easy to work on! It had the optional hard top, something you rarely see. After letting it go, she was looking to find it again after realizing how nice it was compared to its replacement. If you can get it cheap I'd say go for it!
@@ASH.......................1976 We had Suzuki Vitara's as well. We also had the Suzuki Samurai back in the day as well. It was also quite similar to the Tracker.
Co part needs to do like the local pick and pull . And check everyone and have there pockets check and whatever tool bags you'll carry into the yard and on the way out to make sure people aren't jacking keys or parts
I’ve always wanted a 2dr convertible Tracker. I wish, more than anything, these things made a come back. Of course, if they did, they’d be 40 grand with a million unnecessary features and “amenities”.
The back seats in the Tracker, Samurai, and all other vehicles in the class (I don't remember if they were still selling Daihatsu at that point) were removed because regulations were changed that caused them to be legal for sale as pickup trucks but not passenger vehicles. It was perfectly legal for a customer to add the rear seat and seat belts. That change came about around 1994-1995.
I love the Geo Trackers, my mom has one in storage, was her daily a decade ago and now with over 250,000 miles and more rust than not, it still kicks I swear you can't kill those dang things
Hey Randy, as always a thumbs up! Love starting my day with you! Even though you got too much on your plate right now with the Allante, The Corvette and all the other cars you have on the auto auction rebuild car lot, would still absolutely love to see you, put that Geo tracker back in shape! Would make a great video!
You need to buy that Tracker! What a fun thing it would be to fix up. I had a manual Geo storm for a time and had a lot of fun with it. It was rusty but trusty!
I'd say yeah to the Geo. The seats look brand new, no tears or anything. Heck, it's not like you'd have to start the rebuild on it right away. Put it on the back burner until you think you might want to start wrenching on it.
The Geo Trackers are huge worldwide now. Known as Suzuki Vitaras or Escudos in the Japanese domestic market. The 1.6 engines are basically bullet proof. Yours looks like the 8 valve engine. Farmers in New Zealand love these. They’re light & crazy capable. Prices in New Zealand have shot up in the last 5 years. Easy & cheap to work on. You can paint that in raptor liner. Definitely would love to see you put that one back on the road. 💪💪
I have a QX80. I bought it for my wife because it is the best value for a V8 full-size luxury 4wd. It’s been great so far. It may be old tech but that’s why I like it.
I flipped one of those over years ago and learned a lesson about velocity, curves and vehicle design geometry. Great for slow off road, lousy for everything else......but fun to drive regardless! Way better than the older Samurai.
Here in Pa, a rust free, low mile, 2 door manual tracker will go for 5k easy. Throw some gas in er, and I bet she'll fire right up. Also, look at the clamps on the upper rad hose, their defiantly not stock, meaning it just blew a hose.
Years and years ago a dealer in my area had a tracker all charcoal grey with a big lift and at least 33 or maybe 35 inch tires. It was so cool looking I almost bought it.
That blue stuff on the tracker is Blue devil head gasket sealer in the coolant , and they had a coolant leak. I have the exact same shit all over my Isuzu engine bay
I'm going to give small response to the Tracker...... YES!!!!! Those things are awesome and Watch JR Go did one and the parts seem easy to come by and they are awesome!!!!!
The Geo tracker didn't need the GM wiggle because the hole car was built by Suzuki I had the Suzuki sidekick version plus I even had the super rare 1996 Suzuki X-90 love these older Suzuki's buy that Geo and make her nice again Randy
If you could get that Geo tracker I would love it I give you thumbs up for the next year on everything you buy please get that little car I'd love to see you have it painted and stuff be so Stone especially if you have a son or a daughter is going to start driving soon be perfect for them nice and slow and it won't be too fast and kill them.
Randy- you gotta give the Tracker some love and get her running. Don’t replace the tires because the next owner would probably put new wheels and tires on it anyways. It would be an easy flip.
I had a 1992 suzuki sidekick 4 door. Over 200,000 before things started to fall apart. Well engine was motly worn out at that point. Funny little thing. Great mpg too.
That Geo Tracker is neat off road truck time capsule will need a whole new fuel tank & lines also white stuff exploded under hood looks like asset don't think it's coolant or oil fluid.
Chevrolet Tracker (Americas), compact SUV produced since 1988, spanning two generations based on the Suzuki Vitara/ My father has a Vitara 2.0 . Very reliable car!!!

That's a Suzuki Vitara, yes they usually have seats in the back, now this One looks to be a truck version but the normal One have them, beautiful Infinity SUV
I only bought 2 cars from copart and decided to buy an Autel key programming tablet. If I made frequent purchases, I would definitely think it would justify the cost.
Randy most of those Trackers quit running because the crank sensor would get loose or brake off . My brother made a good living 10 years ago buying them up and J-B welding that sensor back on and making them start and run
I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma and I can tell you that is the normal weight of the hood, very heavy and definitely needs hood struts. I to I'm not a fan of it but it's a good little teyck none the less.
Its odd that tacomas bags werent blown like in Swamp Boys tacoma. That one appeared to hit worse than theirs was by far. They have a great channel, im always learning new things watching them.
The Tracker batteries sit very high on their right side. It probably and often caused arcing with the hood causing a small electrical fire with this one..
That geo looks so cool, if you want the memories and fix part of it like the citation go for it! I don’t like Tacoma either and they QX80 looks solid! But not that geo looks nice!!! Happy Friday everyone!
That Geo Tracker it looks 👀 good I hope you can win it for a reasonable price and get it in your channel the Tacoma and Infinity is shameful than its keys 🔑 has been stolen I hate thieves too.
I'm going to be honest with you. The reason the keys are always missing on new vehicles is because people steal them then use the key fobs to copy the 1000s of wavelength signals to a laptop then replay the signals on the laptop to unlock/steal/start vehicles. They aren't actually selling the Key Fobs on eBay, or trying to get a better deal on the vehicle. This is really common in NA for GTA. I should probably state I don't do this lol i'm just aware of the situation
Fuel pump and sending unit were very expensive back in the day. This is a Toyota engine if memory serves me right. 1.6 out of a corolla. QX80. Ocean Liner... Not even a land Yacht
I use to do security and knew guys at locations stealing keys or messing with the car to scare people away to get a cheap price for there buddy. I personally didn’t work those accounts but It happens.
Randy, just wondering; Could the owner of that truck have kept the original suspension and tires and put them back on the truck before the insurance people got to it? This is expensive gear and may not be covered by the insurance.
Hi Randy as for the Geo Tracker I would tell you to buy it on 2 conditions, first and foremost is it 4wd, and second is the price, it must be cheap since it needs so much work, but it would be a nice project for a normal person but I'm not sure it works for you being as you will spend more on it than it's worth especially if it's not 4wd. I love the shoot from the hip car content, walk, find, show. I think I saw a S class Mercedes is the background on one of these cars, you could show that. Ebay has new decals for it, Bring it back Randy
Unfortunately I think it's 2WD. It would have a second shifter if it was 4WD.
@@tall_dude1233 true, but with that short wheelbase and ground clearance it would still do well with proper tires.
@@tall_dude1233 If you know how to drive offroad you don't need 4WD. Many of the drivers in the CAMEL rally in the 80s had 2WD Landies.
