      Non native but I live in a town with 1/3 native. I find how interesting it is that no matter were in NA you are the culture is so similar. We don't have reservations here we all live together. So I live with the culture. As well community events are for every one. One band here in another community has started to invite the whole community to healing events. It healing all the people. Social crimes are way down for the whole community.

      My fam has a similar story minus the princess part. Spent my life believing I had some heritage. I read as many stories as I could find. Learned some form of the eagle dance(probably not real) taught my children the stories. Having my third child today and wanted to name her Ama. Then I begin to hear that so many people claim to have a native grandma.
      Its devastating to learn you have no real history. Whatever being white is I don't fit in, and Mexicans treat me like I am white despite being 1/2 Mexican.
      At 41 I have no people no culture no where to belong. Even if I prove my native heritage I would just be another fake white indian.
      Some of peeps are not trying to appropriate a culture. Some of us just want to belong.
      Thanks for sharing your culture with me in these videos and I'm sorry my family was apart of the Cherokee heritage myth.

    It’s obvious to me that we are in that time of the rainbow 🌈 tribe. Did you know that science has proven experiences alter the DNA and memories are handed down in the DNA. I also believe we have had many lives and there is an influence of the soul’s memory as it reenters the Sacred Dream. As the current institutions and people’s current ways of being on the planet have failed, it’s time to know your time to lead all of the tribes of man back to our Mother and to themselves as her children. My heart beats joyfully as you use laughter to heal the people. It helps ease the way to forgiveness and unity.

But even as a casual pleb that last clip of the basketball player singing the prayer song made me cry... just beautiful! Thanks for all you do guys. I'm so impressed by and grateful for this content ❤❤❤

    The indigenous voice reminds me of when I visited my grandparents and one of the relatives came by to meet me. A really tall obviously native American came to the door (he had to duck to come through the door) and my grandfather told him I was his granddaughter. This man said "Hmm, she's got the Indian." And he was using the voice!

    I laughed really hard at the, "Excuse me, are you Native American?" video. The song being played, "Return to Innocence" by Enigma (from Germany), features a chorus sung by a native Taiwanese guy!
    Cheers from southeast Michigan!

      It could still be true though. My family said the same on my maternal side. My moms dna and her siblings all came back Indian but mine and my siblings didn’t. It was just so diluted. But it’s there somewhere. And we’ve looked on the trail of tears and other records, can’t find any matching names so we have no idea where it came from other than my maternal grandmas side and most likely her mom as that’s where everyone says it comes from

      I went to a lecture of a DNA-specialist who tried them all out, and all of them gave different answers that were nowhere close to his real DNA. Some even gave details that aren't even realistic. I don't know how it works in America, but here some universities offer DNA-tests.

    • @shannongolden
      @shannongolden 4 года назад +1

      East coast natives come from Atlantis so, they have the same dna as all other peoples that come from Atlantis. There is no standard of dna for East Coast Natives because you can not get a sample of dna from before the initial dna data was taken. Its because East Coast Natives are an original race. All original Cherokees have tbe dame blood as Europeans because we come from the same people. The dna meshes easily with one another.

I feel a connection to that culture! What really gets me, everytime, the song! Everytime they have a ritual song, just melts me. It was a major part of their existence! Makes me happy that they've reinvigorated their cultures, especially the songs!♡
