Absolutely do not work for people working on commercial projects for free. It's fine to collaborate with other people on something that isn't going to make money, or engage with stuff like game jams and art contests that don't require you to give up rights to your work, but don't give it away to people who could pay you for free just because they don't want to. That sets a precedent that the work isn't something worth paying for and makes it harder for you and everyone else to find work to support yourself. Moreover, that work is typically being offered by con artists and grifters and won't actually get you the exposure they promise. If they ask you to work for free, they're not worth working for because they don't value you or the project they're working on.

I think this would be great! If she did that, and also included Anatomy tips, possibly of her own journey and what she focused on, that could be a great place for artists to get a start on character models! 😊

I started dabbling on 3d using zBrush, took a course in RUclips and liked it, but I also want to do animation so here I'm starting over again with Blender. Currently taking some very good courses from CG Boost. Trouble with zBrush is that the UI, shortcuts etc are totally different to Blender and it can be confusing... plus, Blender kind of forces you to be clean in your topology unlike zBrush where you can create meshes with millions of polygons without realizing it - not good for animation 😅 Didn't know about Quad Remesher but if it proves to be as good as zRemesher then I think it is a good investment to make, specially as I aim to do 3d in a professional basis.

Quadremesher is not just similar to Zbrush's zremesher - it was actually made by the same guy who wrote zremesher while his time working at pixilogic.

Shift R - lets you tweak how dense you want your remash, ctrl R remeshes your sculpt ;) it's built into blender. You're welcome.

When i constantly ctrl-R to remesh, with the same values, each time i lose resolution (details). How do you avoid this? thank you
You should do Shift-R first to adjust the resolution (you will see the reference grid)

Of course you can still sculpt and if you want a low poly mesh in the end you can look up other retopology techniques
