This machine works incredibly well for my purpose. Premix whatever protein shake you want, freeze 12 hours and hit lite ice cream and it’s done. I’m on a medically supervised liquid diet and it changes the texture of the protein shake to something I can eat with a spoon and its wonderful.
I’ve tried this trying to make low calorie versions with protein powder, almond milk, frozen berries, sugar free pudding mix etc it take 3 or 4 spins for ice cream texture. Sometimes doesn’t even end up creamy, more like grainy and mushy. Maybe I need to add more sugar substitute or a greek yogurt, milk with more fat but that also increases calories
@@rayver723 From what I understand you're supposed to hit "lite icecream" for mixes like that that are low sugar/low fat and otherwise wouldn't have ice cream texture. Then respin to get it more creamy. If that's not working, I think the base just might need some quark or greek yoghurt that is lower fat since it's still pretty creamy. You can also try adding a teeny bit of xanthan gum to make it creamier, a common add in to bases that otherwise don't have enough fat/sugar. I mean, any ice cream under 100 kcal per 100 grams is pretty dang low to begin with. Adding a bit of greek yoghurt or something else probably will only bump it up by maybe 10 more per 100 at best. I think there maybe a limit to ice cream texture and wholly un-icecream ingredients, but play around with what you can.
Not an ice cream maker. It's a high powered blender. An ice cream maker churns the ice cream base to allow crystal formation slowly so that it doesn't freeze rock solid later. This will not do that so anything you make and don't eat, will be a block of ice when you re-freeze it. It doesn't even do a good job. The cookies and cream mix-ins ended up being pureed into the top so it was almost chocolate ice cream while the bottom of the container had nothing. The sorbet you could clearly see whole chunks of peaches that never got blended in. This thing is a waste of money. You can buy a really good ice cream maker for less and with a little practice make your own really great ice cream.
Misleading as I have a real ice cream maker, a Cusinart ICE-30BC and I have to freeze a metal container and then add the mix to the container. The paddles stir the ingredients and it forms real ice cream. What she is showing can be achieved with any good blender as a matter of fact I can do it in my Ninja blender! And price for the Cusinart is $100 less than the Ninja.
I'm thinking about getting it but just for the sorbet. I wonder if you blended the fruit a little bit first before freezing it, it might make for a better sorbet? Your review has me torn. ugh!
Whilst it was good to see the ninja creami in action, this is an ad not a review. You didn't provide any basic info - price, how long it takes to make (apart from the freezing), detail on the quality/consistency of the ice cream, comparison with other similar products and pros/cons (weight/ease of use/noise).
@@1ppriiincess lol she told us. Just have to listen folks. You can also hear how loud it is in the video. She also mentioned the downside of having to prepare the mix 24 hours before. Did you watch the video with the sound off or something? As for the price, it sounds like she got the product at no cost if she did a video review on it. It’s pretty common when you have a RUclips channel reviewing products. If you’re curious about how much it cost, just go to the website. I have this machine and it is pretty straight forward lol.
So its a blender, but with the power to blend and mix frozen ingredients. Except that it doesn't look like it even does that well, it only mixes the top 1 or 2 thirds of the Jar. Both for creamy or water based ice-cream. Not for me. Thank you for the review.
I love how you keep saying it’s creamy but when you try to put the spoon thru the middle so that you can add the cookies all I see is oversized chunks 😂😂😂😂 I guess when I think of creamy ice cream 🍦 my first thought is soft serve. Also like a lot of people have mentioned it seems to only mix the top half not the bottom since I can still see very clearly the chunks of peaches at the very bottom.
I made Oreo ice cream I made peanut butter ice cream I made custard so so good my daughter was. On a special diet after surgery only water soup and protein drinks she made ice cream out of her protein drink just poured it in and put it on ice cream setting after frozen .. I don’t like the protein drinks but it was slightly better this way she was happy ( I’m just super fussy but if I “had “ to eat her diet under dr orders I’d want it frozen in this machine that’s 💯
The ad was misleading. It said Cuisinart takes 2 hours and ninja creamy is instant. Great if you are a planner. I think I'm going to be in the mood for some ice cream tomorrow in 24 hours. As if
It doesn't make ice cream.. YOU make the ice cream YOU then freeze your ice cream ... then you scoop it into the " ice cream maker " and it stirs it around... so basically you paid 200 bucks for a blender.....
Only think I did notice is at the bottom of both it didnt mix it well. You can see in cookies in cream that there was white line at the bottom. Fruit sorbet there were chunks of fruit at bottom as well. Also the cost is $199.99. Which isn't to bad of price of what it can do. Appliances are always cost so much.
@@momma_nomad what functions? I think the "icecream maker" name gives away its only function, (with its different names) but the Icecream didn't mix at the bottom and the Gelato didn't mix like 3 thirds of the jar. It would've been nice if the reviewer made a comment about this, since it's very obvious for anyone who watches the video.
@@antonioromo3087 in the beginning of the video she said ice cream, sorbet, milkshakes, smoothie bowls, etc. I think I got them all. That’s what I meant by functions . Not just ice cream
it didn't mix well because it was still too cold. I've seen a lot of youtubers take it right out of the freezer and into the Ninja Creami. If it's too cold you will get a powder or chalky consistency. She should've let it thaw for about 10-20 mins and then run it through the Creami. Since she didn't thaw it out she should've done a re-run or added some liquid and then a re-run and then do the mix in.
So I gotta gather the ingredients, mix it, and freeze it overnight? The machine just blends it. I’m not paying $200 for that shit. I rather get a $30 blender at that point.
We just bought one today and I found your video. Not only was this incredibly informative and well put together, but the dancing made me laugh so hard out loud! Thank you so much! :-)
I dont like the way some mix ins are mixed. While its good, oreos changes the whole thing into chocolate ice cream in strad of chunks so i just top my bowls with mix in and mix with spoon. No big deal.
I agree! I was looking at the bottom of the pints and the cookie mix in’s didn’t make it to the bottom and the peaches didn’t get mixed in the sorbet at all! On top of that I want an invention that doesn’t require freezing the container in the freezer for 24 hours..... any I think I will use my money on something else....
This machine does not look good. The blade in only at the top. It only mixes the top part. If you noticed.the sorbet and ice cream it was only mixes at the top👎
I have an ice cream maker that’s soooooo much cheaper, smaller and I think easier. Got the machine a year ago, and did not use it yet. Thank you for the video Nicole!
Just got mine so I’m back to watch this video!!
So exited to see this 😁
hope you love it!
Literally anything Nicole makes is amazing!! Thanks for being the best RUclips ever! 🥰😘
It doesn’t seem to mix all the way to the bottom, the Oreo one was white on the bottom and the sorbet one had chunks of fruit still on the bottom.
I noticed that as well.
The Oreo was uninspiring as well. It turned it to chocolate ice cream instead of the traditional vanilla with Oreo flecks
Yeah looked weird
Yayy I was looking for this video!
Thank you!!!! For showed me how to use
How does it work tho?
Does the blade goes down as it spins?
Thanks. Waiting for mine to arrive!!

A blender would probably break. I think the point of the machine is to shave the ice particles and mix them into a creamy blend.
How long did it goin the machine thanks just got one
What is the point of the Ninja if it comes out of the freezer initially as ice cream?
I'm so confused. You made the vanilla ice cream, put it in the freezer, took it out and had to make it again?😊
So excited! I love Nicole's videos!!
Oooo! ice cream ! Lovit! 😍🤤
