Appreciate the video my man, this helped me diagnose an issue I was having with my unit. Heating element was busted out the box. Swapped it, new one works great.
Just got mine on Amazon and there is no recipe for it thank you I thought it was too hot and too long at the beginning but anyway you did a good job thank you
It seems that NO ONE is using the tray and rack properly. Actually ☝️🤓, you need to force the tray in between the vertical rods so that it sits directly on the rack. One side of the rack is higher. Flipped, the other side is lower. Use a little force to bend them out a bit if necessary. The tray is not meant to rest directly on the orange feet, and snipping off the legs unnecessary. (Continued...)
And chicken wings certainly don't need an hour. That time would be for a whole chicken at 375° preheated, wings about 30 min. There is even a preset for chicken wings listed in a table right inside the door, which beeps to alert you when to turn them and continue. Either way, it is done when internal temp at thickest part reaches 165°. The point being that this is simply a smaller convection oven marketed as an air fryer, with the latter a bit less, simply because of size. They are essentially the same thing and meant to expedite standard oven timing and reducing time by 25% or so, circulating hot air around the food. Which is why there are holes in the tray. The turntable will catch drips and can be washed, or you can use a cake pan or pie plate under it (or foil for even easier cleanup). If using a glass pie plate, avoid placing it in cold water afterwards until it cools or it may shatter. Hope this helps someone!
Good advice. My iPhone had a horrible mic. Since upgraded. I started a new channel called Miles Out, Right Here. Using mostly a DSLR and a Rode pro mic. Ordering a wireless soon.
I just bought a similar model. It's branded as Black and Decker but it's made by Toshiba. The manual is very vague. Shouldn't those orange rubber plugs be removed? Also about the glass tray... wouldn't break??? Scared to use this thing lol
The orange plugs are silicone so they are safe to use up to 550 f. The glass tray is tempered glass so it’s safe to use as well. Just don’t put any cold water or material on the hot glass plate. The sudden difference in temperature can shatter the glass but it will be fine cooking normally.
@@milesoutrighthere9989 thanks for your reply. I pulled them all off didn't throw them out. In my attempts to figure out this oven with its shitty manual I saw some videos of people air frying with them in place which I thought was odd. I thoought they were just packaging to prevent damage during shipping. I initially regretted buying this oven because the manual sucks so badly. Thanks Black and Decker but Toshiba has essentially the exact same model.
I’ve never tried that, well, I have, but it was too much sugar and it burned the sauce. I will probably need to do one less sweet, but I like where you’re going with it.
I like it. The microwave is not as quick as I’d like. The only issue is cleaning up after using the air fryer. It gets all over the ss walls and glass turntable. All in all I’d recommend it. The manual is all over the place so I’m working on making a spreadsheet to put all the settings on one page.
@@fishhead1227 Your comment on clean up is exactly what I wanted to know. Do you any opinions on how to keep the food splatters contained without restricting airflow?
@@fishhead1227 Thanks for this video, it saved me from trying to figure out that manual. I got this last month during Prime Days, and have only been using the microwave. I finally tried the airfryer today, and just made two pieces of salmon, and a package of Oven Roasters. I checked the sides and top of the oven, and had zero splatter. I used one of my mom's glass pie dishes at the bottom, I that caught everything that dripped down.
It is a well designed oven. I forgot to mention that when you microwave something like a cup of coffee, it rotates the table to where you put it in so the handle always faces you.
@@fishhead1227 I'm considering buying this, but I'm so confused. Can you actually use your own pans in this, like real aluminum pans in it? How about aluminum foil? I read the manual and it has a list of things you're not supposed to put in it and it's all metal. They only have a "browning tray", which I'm assuming comes with the oven.
Hand is not on the mic, this iPhone has a peculiar problem with the mic. It starts off not recording any sound then increasing the mic levels slowly over the next 2.0 seconds after the recording starts. I hope my phone on the side, where there is no mic. Thanks for the input. I need an external mic, this iPhone is trash.
Thank you. I agree 100%. I did my recording on an iPhone and for some reason it makes the sound very very quiet for the first 10 seconds and suddenly it just blast the sound out of the water. I don’t know how to fix it. I tried to adjust the sound as much as I can but even the software isn’t enough to combat the catastrophes that is Apple.

I bought it today, great explanation, thank you so much! ! ! Your chicken wings look delicious!

That’s actually a really great tip and I’m glad you saw that. I figured that out more recently. Thank you so much for the good advice.
Cool demo" nice Crunch!
Thank you!
I just ordered one, and I'm glad I saw you make chicken wings. But invest in a mic.

I want a wing. Please. But. I'm buying this oven. I like it does everything.

I am hungry now 😋
I like the sauce to be cooked ON the chicken, not just slathered on an already cooked wing. I believe this is called Daytona style.

What is your opinion of the Toshiba after having owned it for a few months now. Any problems? I'm considering this as a purchase.
Thanks!
