    So far, you have the best video explaining some of the functions. Unfortunately, our 7 in 1 Combo doesn't have tempature and time options, just preset and unexplained menu settings. I'm new to the air fryer and this model only offers H01 to H10 (???). Your system makes sense, but ours doesn't. I have put an oven tempature guage to test it. So far, H01 is 400 degrees for 23 minutes. The manual says this is for frozen fries. I cannot find anything online to explain this code.
    Again, thank you fro making this video. You demonstrate the operation far better then most.

    So I tried making the toast in my new Toshiba. It was a disaster. I’m not sure what I did wrong, but it sucked every bit of moisture out of the bread. Condensation was running down the inside of the window in the door. The bread never did get brown but it had random black places on both sides after the initial 3 minutes. (I didn’t try for the other side.). The bread was stuck fast to the rack and I thought for a second that I had ruined it.
    The instructions that come with the unit are almost non existent. It is supposed to be able to be used to make yogurt and for proofing, but there is no mention how to do it in the instructions-which were definitely not written by a native English speaker. The cookbook is nice, but has typos, photos that clearly don’t depict the recipe, and have mistakes (call for equipment not previously mentioned or leave out steps.). You would think that a company as big as Toshiba could invest a little in the paperwork included.
    That said, I am still excited about learning to use this product.

    • @SandrasKitchen
      @SandrasKitchen  Год назад +2

      I honestly have no idea why your toast did not do well. Mine was just a basic store bought loaf (Heiners). I have to totally agree with you on these companies needing better instructions/proof reading etc. I have run into this same problem with quiet a few appliances that I have. I think this is an area where they need to step up their game.
      Thanks for watching and commenting :)

    The concept of an "all in one appliance" looks great but the 6 minute toast, 7 minute hot dogs etc. seems crazy. Looks like you may have all kinds of problems down the road too because of all the technology stuff that is packed into this all in one appliance. Clean up also looks Very tough because of splatters that get on all the holes and especially the wired heating element on the top. Only great thing that this appliance does is save counter top space. I will stick with my XL George Foreman grill, power air fryer, portable toaster-oven, and my fantastic microwave that I store on my 4' tall portable cart with shelves that conveniently fills up an empty wall space in my kitchen. Also, isn't this this type of appliance around $500 to $700.00 bucks. Thank you Sandra so much for your great review that made me think of all the good and the bad stuff about this product.

    • @SandrasKitchen
      @SandrasKitchen  Год назад +3

      Thank you for your input Bill. To be fair seems like all those smaller appliances are a pain to clean as well lol. I think this appliance sells for around $230.00. I guess this product would be more of a value to someone who is a minimalist or perhaps into "tiny living".
      Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching :)

      You have an empty wall in your kitchen??? Lucky you. I have a house twice the size of my last one and the kitchen is still 100 square feet.
      Mine was $180. Same cleaning issues as the toaster oven it replaces, except a better compartment to clean.

    First, thank you for your unboxing video. Nice job. I’m delighted that it will broil, but six minutes for toast is a little much. Just thinking of how much electricity that is;)). I’m a little more impressed with the pizza, but everything seems to take longer …i.e. hotdogs in my air fryer takes about half the time it took in the Toshiba. Thank you again!

      @SandrasKitchen yeah, I'm a Chef and was looking for a good microwave combo on Amazon and most other reviews test the microwave function and not the convection function. We all know about how the microwave works on these machines, but it's the other features that are key to evaluating the oven right🤔...I also wanted a good oven to cook the occasional Red Baron 🍕 I like to make😁

      I just bought one. Used it as a microwave to heat up a steamer bag of cauliflower risotto from jolly green giant.
      I hit power button
      Display said power 100 (could reduce power if I wanted by turning knob)
      Pushed the button in on the knob than turned turned the knob to desired time and pushed button again
      Microwave worked as expected.
      Also microwave function can not have metal in there just like any other microwave.

    My neighbor had a bunch of dogs. The Mama was Sheeba and the baby was Tasha (like Toshiba). I would put hot dogs by the fence and they would dig until they could squeeze under and eat the reward and keep running. I don't do things like that now that I'm grown.

      According to Silly Goose Shirts comment below:
      "I hit power button
      Display said power 100 (could reduce power if I wanted by turning knob)
      Pushed the button in on the knob than turned turned the knob to desired time and pushed button again."
      I usually leave my microwave set at the default of 100%. If you have a particular food or drink that maybe you wanted to heat more slowly then you could reduce the power.

    Just got mine. When you bake muffins or cake, do you set small pans on the bake rack, or can I just bake with pan directly on the turntable? Wish there were more detailed instructions...your video helped get me started, thank you!!

    • @SandrasKitchen
      @SandrasKitchen  3 месяца назад +1

      According that what I remember from the manual it says not to place your baking pan directly on the surface. The only reason I can think of is the possibility of the glass turntable getting too hot and cracking.

    Thanks for this review! One thing that crosses my mind is that dial being the first thign to fail. Second, in terms of usabilty, if you have to redo the time everytime, that's really inconvenient. Instead, it would have been much better if you could just press the start button again to repeat the last settings that were used.
    Does anyone know how easy it is to clean the top of the oven when you do air frying or broiling? Will the oil splatters cake on and burn into the stainless steal like it does on pots? Also, when using it as a convection oven/air fryer, does the top and sides get hot? Can you put stuff on top of the unit withing things melting or catching fire?

    • @aryceseverson1064
      @aryceseverson1064 9 месяцев назад +1

    This product is poorly implemented and dangerous. We own one. Microwave is so-so, not fast. Broil takes forever. Oven is okay but no faster than conventional. Combi and Air Fry are gimmicks. But the real problem is that this unit will turn itself on and keep adding time to the microwave function (I think the pushbutton tends to stick). It could melt down. So we have it plugged into a switch and turn it off after each use, until we replace it (hopefully soon). A waste of money.

      @@SandrasKitchen Sure. But it began to happen right at the end of the warranty period, and others who own these have made the same comments. No product, even if defective, should be able to burn your house down. That's what UL and CSA exist for, supposedly.
