I recently purchased a 2024 Hoyt Alpha X 30" and really like it, however, with Bowtech's innovative cam adjustment's I will definitely give them a better look next time round. Its' hard to beat Hoyt's smooth draw cycle. Hoyt's aluminum shim system is their only con simply because you must own a bow press in order to readjust any cam tuning issues.
You have a draw board right there why not set rest timing off it and not chance the dry fire ? Nice setup though just got same bow but with a black gold mtn lite
I do that so I have the original string ready to go in case a string fails while we are out hunting. It’s never happened but I just like to have it there with me. Like a backup release.

Absolutely agree with you and the RX-8 Ultra is looking and shooting so amazingly.
