0:52 when I show up to a jam with a new horn
You got it, buddy!
Lol papa joe in the house you guys are on yall best behavior
They play so tight together but leave each other plenty of room to maneuver. Space is the place.
Revisiting old episodes (again). Gotta say I love Joe's tone here. The time feel and melodic concept is on point with the whole group ... but that sound. Georgeous.
Love this trio! And great to see them playing with Joe Lovano! Im currently on a huge Lovano kick listening to all of his albums.
AAAAAAHHHH!!! JOE LOVANOOO!!! THANK YOU EMMET! KYLE, RUSSELL!! WOW!!! 😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
내일은 이사가는 날입니다! 새로운 곳에 대한 설레임, 제 마음같은 곡이네요 ㅎㅎ
Another fabulous show Emmet! Thanks for one of the best music channels on RUclips!
A fantastic 'smokey' tenor player that can also play impassioned interpretations of Monk tunes!! This Quartet is very classy!!
How's it feel to have the best Jazz content on the internet. . . Of all time?
Feels good I bet.
Swinging, thanks for this Emmet!
I love the pedal-eque tension Kyle builds while saving his phone from slipping out of his pocket at 10:02! And Russell’s mannerisms in response during the first 4 bars of the next chorus had me rolling 😂
Emmet is such a great player
It hasn’t occurred to me until now how much of Sonny Rollins in in Lovano’s concept! Free Swing! Actually making a statement not just flashy flash
and so much Joe Henderson too
I think about this a lot. Free swing
Exactly! Hadn’t occurred to me either, thanks!
You don't know what your talking about. And I know lovano's way
@@citypulse922 I don’t understand your statement, could you please clarify?
This really got me thinking 🤔. It’s one thing to master a lot of jazz language like “Bird, Trane, Bechet, Lockjaw, ect” but Lovano is actually speaking his very own tongue
Monday night was ON FIRE..!!! I have to say one of your best performances in my very humble opinion..!!! It was just awesome
But it's eating it up, 10:25 the train gasped she almost stopped..... I'm damn impressed and I'm all moving. Thanks for the vibes..........:)
Love that deep cymbal sound! ..like rudy collins on dizzy on the french riviera. Go joe!!...would love to hear nicole glover trade some fours with joe!!...emmet keeps it all together like an anchor.
This is totally the tune you call for a cat that can play everything. You nailed it.
Sou CLEUMA GOULART. Hello Emmet! Hello Kyle! Hello Russell! To aqui curtindo esse sonzão!!!!!! Valeu Joe Lovano! Vocês são demais!!!!! (RJ/Brasil/2021) Sou CLEUMA GOULART.
So killing
Viva o Blues. Toca muito.
We need some bone players up in here! It’d be so cool to hear Michael Dease or Bob McChesney or Marshall Gilkes 🤩
McChesney would be liiit
Freebird!!
@@LinusFrimanBob is truly in a class alone
Yeah he really is
Lovano always creates space in his music .. Makes it easy on the drummer
oooooppphhhhhhh pure gold!
Aaaaaaa u know guys, I try to always wach the commercials to help you out. But if it interrupts russels solo I just can‘t.
Adblock. It's free and you'll never see a commercial on your computer.
Hell yeah! Thanks guys, this swings so hard!! 😍
Genial song
Joe uses his Selmer Balanced Action tenor again, which he inherited from his father. As far as the tenor is concerned, it is on this horn that he is the best, in my opinion.
sometimes he uses His borgani with the Selmer sba neck.....

Grande Joe lovano origine sicule ,di Alcara li Fusi,
I think that's the best Joe I've ever heard - such a great earthy approach with a lot of wonderful angular stuff in there - fantastic.
Jean-Da est ravi. De Switzerland
I would take this two diamonds on desert island and play music with them up to last breath (bas and drum)
Russel Hall could march and army off a cliff with his walking lines.

Love Emmets video. Will never like Lovanos playing.
where the aulochrome at joe?
LOL. I remember this Lovano character in Europe years ago. I had several great jazz venues hoped he might slot in or perhaps at a future date however he was so f...... arrogant and thought he owned the Country the way he was strutting about; I opened a door for him to come into the place he was playing at that evening and came in; I politely said hello he blanked me completely and walked in with that sense of entitlement thing some have. We were partly the reason he was there at all. He was close to being knocked out he never knew how close. Hence he never got a spot from me. It is guys like him that keep jazz way way back. I'm talking along time back so you kids coming up take note
That's heartbreaking! I've met him a few times here in England, he was always very nice and gave me plenty of time to chat...
Unfourtunate! Every time I've met him, he's been super friendly and down to chat. He even gave me some reeds at one point...
Trade is… failed??
Im sorry but i think i will never understand joe lovano, to me he never plays something worth of listening
Joe is classyc(although he plays way too many nonsensical notes, that aren't blues in the slightest, not in thousand years).
But why others are dressed up as workers from home and clowns in the circus?
Regrettably disappointing. I saw Joe Lovano a few years ago and he was 20 times better.
What made this regrettable for you?
@@davidarbelaez4395 I regret having wasted my time watching this disappointing performance.
I had lost interest in Lovano but I saw him live in Antwerp last August and I never saw or heard him play better. In fact, it was one of the best concerts (he played in two different settings, among which with Greg Cohen and Joey Barron in Trio) I have attended in my whole life.
@@lawrencemuller8972 I caught him in 2019 with the Spring Quartet. Jack DeJohnette, Esperanza Spalding, and Leo Genovese. Joe played his ass off. The tunes were very challenging. He's got incredible timing and he really locks with the other musicians.
