Opeth - Ghost Of Perdition (full instrumental cover)

- This cover took me a long time to finish. It's a long song, with complex parts and layers but it's finally ready and I plan to do the rest of the album in the near future!
The electric guitar is a custom built Alpher Instruments guitar with an Evertune bridge and custom wound Wizard pickups. It's tuned to DADFAD. The acoustic is a Martin D16GT.
The Alpher guitar goes straight into a 100w Marshall JCM800 head, using a Two Notes Torpedo Live for cab tones.
The acoustic is recorded using a large diaphragm condenser mic that I built.

I did DADFAD just so the octave is on the high e string...for the lead parts...although I can still only play the first half of the song...it's a beast...

Hey there! I think I could do that but I think realistically the best way to do it would be a live-stream, which would then be saved and can be rewatched. Making a well edited video would take a very long time to do. How do you feel about that?
@@geirisk8 Would it be easier for you to post tabs? The only ones I can find online are Drop D/D standard which makes some of the chords and shapes in the song impossible, or DADFAE that are just wrong to begin with

chrisdavisjr the acoustic is in the same tuning as the electric, which is DADFAE. I just realized that I wrote DADFAD in the description!

you must have double tracked some of the electric guitars...right?...
Just rhythm guitars are double tracked and panned left and right, then other stuff on top if needed :)
