It's true. For multiple generations, when he died, it was like losing a beloved brother or uncle, in the most crushing way. One consolation for me was reading about and his condition and realizing he did not pass the way he did out of feeling lonely or unloved....his brain and body were wracked with a very, very severe physical illness which, at that point, preventing him from thinking clearly for more than very short periods of time.
What a heartfelt tribute to Billy from Whoopi. I so, miss Robin, too. The 3 of them were an amazing trio of human beings/ performers. God Bless all of them.

It’s 2024, I think we are all still grieving over the loss of Robin Williams. If only he knew just how much he was deeply loved by all. It’s breaks my heart that he saved so many people with laughs, but was struggling with his own darkness and I feel so guilty we didn’t save him when he needed saving the most.
He’s greatly missed, but he was killed by a disease (Lewy Body Dementia). His brain effectively turned on him. He wasn’t going to get saved by love and support. Obviously I wish he could have had a more peaceful passing with his family but he effectively had a death sentence and didn’t want to endure end stage dementia
He was suffering with Lewy Body Dementia... it's the same disease actor like Bruce Willis , Charles Bronson, and Peter Falk... there are many more that have died from this illness and others still fighting... he couldn't help himself... all he could think about was how fast he was fading away from his memories and reality. He didn't want to die that way so he chose his own terms before his health got worse. When you're not in the right frame of mind tragedies like this with Robin Williams are far more likely to occur. Families need to keep a close eye out for them, like Bruce Willis's family... he is never left alone. I have no doubt that Robin would not have killed himself if not for that diagnoses. He was just getting his life back on track... he had been struggling with alcohol and pill addictions and had checked himself into a rehab just 2 months prior to killing himself. I think he wanted to live and he wanted to get himself the help he needed to regain control of his life until his diagnoses he was set to begin again.
Oh honey, I appreciate what you said, but he couldn’t have been saved. At autopsy, his brain was so riddled with the disease that the doctor said it was a wonder he could function at all. It wasn’t fair, and it wasn’t right, but it was the hand he was dealt. He was suffering, so he made it stop.
How could she have not talked about Robin?! His absence was the elephant not in the room. His absence left a glaring hole in the proceedings. From the moment she stepped onto the stage I kept thinking "she better pay tribute to Robin, too". Robin, a great humanitarian is one of the top 3 comedians of all time.
I cried with Whoopie. Robin Williams was one of those special people who always made you feel good by giving you a smile and a laugh. Robin will always be missed
Now, more than ever, the humor and “comic relief” that our world needs is necessary. Robin is sorely missed, but thank goodness that we still have Billy and Whoopi, - and many other great comics to get us through these difficult times.
The love between Robin, Billy and Whoopi is timeless. They share such a beautiful special bond together....one that not many of us can say we share with others. Even with Robin gone, you can still feel the extreme love, respect and bond they all have for each other. They all worked well together and complimented each others talents immensely. There will never be another comedic 3 like they were. The love they shared for each other spilled over into the love they had for their charities and community work and every thing they stood for. An amazing Kinship that only a few can feel!!! REST IN PEACE ROBIN. YOU ARE GREATLY MISSED NOT ONLY BY WHOOPI AND BILLY BUT THE WORLD MOURNS YOUR PASSING AS WELL. WE LOST THE BEST WHEN WE LOST YOU. GOD BLESS YOU MAN!!!
I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard as I have when watching Billy, Whoopie, and Robin working off of each other on stage. Their connection was perfection. I know Billy & Robin were very, very close, and I know Robin was indeed there in their hearts that night.
I couldn't deal with it for a long when Robin passed away. I couldn't discuss it, read about it, talk about it. So on and so on. I'm from the same area as him and knew him as an acquaintance before he became famous. He was a force even then. No one deserved fame amd the world's love more ❤
Of all the celebrity passings in my lifetime, whether they were older and at peace and ready to go, or young and gone too soon, no one's death has stuck with me the way Robin's has. To this day I still from time to time am reminded of him, and still feel the grief like it was yesterday. For context, Im in my 30's. Disney's Aladdin was my first movie cinema film, Hook to this day is still my favourite film of all time, and I constantly quote the Birdcage just because. I'm not famous person but if my life were made a lifetime movie, he would've played my Dad. Looks and personality. I speak for a lot us when I say, "I still miss Robin Williams."
To this day, I still shed a tear when something reminds me of him. He was so ever present when I was growing up, for context I'm 40, and it's like he became member of the family. I I think of all the things I quote, and I quote A LOT of things, I quote him the most, whether it's something from Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hook, or even one of his stand ups, he is still present in my world to this day. I cried when I went to Disney during the fireworks because they projected Genie on the castle and while playing music from Aladdin, he's just ingrained in our lives. He is very missed by everyone who fell in love with him, because we did, from Mork and Mindy to Night at the Museum. I hope he rests peacefully and that he found his Neverland.
For me, it's Robin Williams and also Jim Henson. Unexpectedly hearing Kermit sing It's Not Easy Being Green or Rainbow Connection makes me cry nearly every single time. I have to prepare myself to watch Robin's movies or clips of Henson with Kermit.
Thank you for your words. they are powerful. I loved Robin in his serious roles Patch Adams; Good Will Hunting. All of them. He had a deep soul, which he shared with us.
Billy is an international treasure. His humour has reached around the globe. Robin and Whoopi are equally his comedic peers who I’ve grown up with. Thank you to all three for your self-deprecating humour. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
I’m Australian but have always associated the three together. Maybe it was the time, maybe it was the humour, maybe it was the people themselves. I have been lucky to have seen each of them on stage. Two in San Francisco and one in Melbourne Australia. So grateful to have seen them and been allowed into their world. What a privilege❤❤❤
I think its just a part of all the little groups of friends or 'cliques' in hollywood. Certain actors hang out/work/ love others. Will Ferrel's group (think Zoolander, Anchorman and Old School cast, for example), or Anything Adam Sandler does, he just wanted to make funny movies with his friends. I like to think Billy, Robin and Whoopi were some of the OGs :)
@@KPS2311that I also agree.. It's magical when comedians join forces. Like the former Kings of Comedy. Now imagine? Dave Chappelle Kevin Hart and Chris Rock? That would be something to behold on one stage. 😮😮
Robin Williams used to go into comedy clubs half-disguised (baseball hat, full beard, dressed down), wait patiently after the show, and tell junior comics "You have something, you're really funny, keep going with it." A few have mentioned the confidence boost from Robin changed their life.
Omg!! This had me in tears 😢. I remember how all 3 of them were together at awards shows, & when I heard that Robin Williams had died, I felt like a family had died. Thank you for posting this!! N Congratulations to Billy Crystal, you are absolutely a true legend!!
These three super entertainers brought joy and smiles to so many people, and I am sure that their comedy helped many people dig themselves out of depression. It’s a shame that there was no one person who could help Robin climb out of the debilitating, unyielding hole of depression. The “depressive hole can certainly overwhelm even a strong person!
I was just saying to my husband last night how much I missed seeing Robin Williams. He meant a lot to me as a very young child. How I cried like a child when he passed, and my husband did too. He was Mork from Ork for us. Then I was old enough to see his movies, all of them. He meant so much to the world.
Not only one of the funniest men ever; not only one of thegreatest improv artists ever, but also one of the most gifted dramatic actors the world has ever known. We will not see his like again.

Wow! That was beautiful. Robin, as Billy knows as do we all was/is an International treasure. His power was immense. Those three were always amazing. There are others, but Robin….man….what a powerful human! Grateful for the video. Thank you. 🙏🏻 ❤
Robin, you are so missed and so loved by so many. Rest in peace dear man, I’d wager The Lord is laughing continually with you! 😂. What a gift you were and continue to be to this world…. And what a price you paid.
Never going to quite get past Robin's death. Not only that he went, but that he went in such a tragic way. He knew how much people loved him, but it still wasn't enough to overcome his illness. That just sucks so much. Such an unfair ending to such a good human being.
A bazillion kudos and attaboys to the one and only Billy Crystal. Phenomenal talent, a gigantic heart and a human being beyond compare. Brother man deserves every good thing comin to him. The rest of us miss Robin too, bro. Take care and bless you and yours.
Sooo many of you have been a important part of are lives from humble beings like "Soap" Mork and Mindy and many more. You made us love you, how could we not. Love and Nanu Nanu.
Robin was so beloved....I live just a stone's throw from the Robin Williams Tunnel, near his home. He brought joy and laughter absolutely everywhere he went. I even was given a scholarship he funded , in college....his generosity of spirit will never be forgotten. We all choke up when we speak of him, because I think in a. sense we all thought of him as a friend.
Sir, you are spot on in everything you said here. Robin tugs at the public's heartstrings, so I can only imagine how he affects his close friends Billy and Whoopi.
I first saw Robin Wms. as Mork on Happy Days, then later on his spin off show, Mork and Mindy. He always made me laugh…an easy to love comedian. Then he landed great movie roles…all of which I loved. Saw him do talk show interviews where everyone still expected Robin to “make them laugh” and that’s when I started to see the pain through the laughter. ❤️🩹 I miss Robin Wms…I didn’t know him but I wish I could’ve made HIM laugh, been his friend, helped him in some way where others could not, see that we didn’t just want him to make us laugh but that some of us TRULY loved him. RIP R.W. 💜💙💛
My thoughts…. I, just like them are shedding a tear. I can only imagine their loss and emotions. This was a well made and to the point video - the internet needs more of these. ❤
i just read the title of the clip and started tearing up trying not to cry... my childhood heroes n still my heroes... love em all, i remember as a kid watching the Charity comedy special "#ComicRelief" those 3 were amazing
People forget that Billy played one of the first openly gay characters on TV on Soap. He was always out on the edge, but not like a razor, but like the foam at the front of a wave.
Why do you say that people forget that? I think it was pretty much an unforgettable role, and show, for anyone who watched it! I have the series on DVD and always enjoy popping one in for a laugh!
I was sitting my house one day thinking, I’ve got to one day meet my favorite comedian of all time. Mr robin Williams, the very next day he passed away. I get emotional when I think of him, remembering the characters he played. His spontaneity. His rapid fire humor always kept me in stitches, I loved everything he did . From Mork and Mindy to dead poets society, robin was truly the best of the best, and I know this video is about ol billy whom I’ve loved since his days on soap. But just hearing robin’s name, does to me what it does to both whoppie and billy 😢
It’s crazy how there are people that we never even said “hello” to and yet we still think of them years after they’ve passed🤔 There are so many people that I wish I could see their expressions or hear what they think about this or that. But they’re gone💝 And you know what’s really crazy? Sometimes I cry when I catch the sound of my own voice sounding like my mother who is no longer here😭😔💐💐 AnyWho… Congratulations to Billy Crystal! I’ve always liked him and glad to see him getting his flowers💐💐💐
We often just watch shows straight thru but it is truly awesome when someone takes the time to get us to pause and really cherish the moment before us. Thank you.
Those 3 Geniuses have brought so much to this Human Race words cannot express it all...the loss of Robin still stings...it always will, but their bond will never be severed and we will cherish Billy and Whoopi for as long as we have them with us. 💞 #Robin RIH
I still get choked up watching the video I made of the late Robin Williams. I miss him. I can't even watch him on Mork & Mindy. But I try to watch movies he is in and stuff. But I love Whoopi and Billy and Robin. I loved Comic Relief on HBO.
Whoopi does not get emotional like this. Talking about Robin or Patrick Swayze and she will get emotional because of how much they did for her career. Swayze threatened to walk off Ghost if they did not cast her
OMG 😲 😱 I literally 😭 stumbled upon this & stunned it's so overdue and well deserved Robin Williams was there in spirit but it should have happened while Robin Williams was still alive. Not right right . I hope 🙏 Billy Crystal will host Oscar's 1 more time.
I literally say Billy is a National Treasure anytime somebody brings him up. He's one of my favorites of all time. And I feel exactly the same way about Whoopi! ❤❤❤
I love Billy! I wish he had done more work the last several years. I couldn't watch a Robin Williams movie for several years after passed, because his pain was so blinding he couldn't see how we all adored him. God bless you Billy, Whoopi, and Meg Ryan. Rest in deep peace Robin.💖
I feel as if the world is a darker place since Robin passed away. The world really needs someone like him. He was my favourite actor, and I miss him all the time.
Billy Crystal is one of those genius, live-wire minds that can host a show and improvise. Always loved him. I don't think I'll almost come to tears when he dies like do with Robin. Robin's energy and genius can't be replaced, ever.
I think we all still get choked up when thinking about Robin. He is dearly missed by everyone.

I miss him a lot, he was one of my favorites, always made me laugh and smile. His smile lit up a room..
Whoopi is one of my favorite people, along with Robin & Billy. This really touched my heart. Robin was there, right beside Whoopi. ❤
Billy's an international treasure, they are all the greats!!!!
European music gave us Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven. The US gave us Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, and Whoopie Goldberg. ❤❤❤
Billy looks great!! So does Meg ❤
Robin, Whoopie and Billy were the Three Musketeers, their comedy together was legendry.
Hers was not.
Shout out to the late:great Gregory Hines
the 3 of them a forever braid of friendship
I shouldn’t have clicked. I knew I would cry. So sorry for Robin’s suffering and the inevitable grief and loss that won’t ever go away.💜
I sure miss Robin, nice tears remembering him.
I miss Robin Wms…I didn’t know him but I wish I could’ve made HIM laugh, been his friend, helped him in some way where others could not, see that we didn’t just want him to make us laugh but that some of us TRULY loved him.
RIP R.W.
It’s crazy how there are people that we never even said “hello” to and yet we still think of them years after they’ve passed🤔
There are so many people that I wish I could see their expressions or hear what they think about this or that. But they’re gone💝
And you know what’s really crazy?
Sometimes I cry when I catch the sound of my own voice sounding like my mother who is no longer here😭😔💐💐
AnyWho… Congratulations to Billy Crystal! I’ve always liked him and glad to see him getting his flowers💐💐💐
I had tears in my eyes during Whoopi’s speech. I can remember the three of them together. They were very much a family. ❤❤❤
Sometimes words are too much. Oftentimes, words are not enough. 💝
it was super sweet to see that. in spirit, Robin was there, standing right along side her on that stage, right where she indicated he would be.
I still get choked up watching the video I made of the late Robin Williams. I miss him. I can't even watch him on Mork & Mindy. But I try to watch movies he is in and stuff. But I love Whoopi and Billy and Robin. I loved Comic Relief on HBO.
Thank You!!!!
Billy crystal is looking pretty damn good
Brilliant tribute to an amazing man! I do remember his Oscar Intros; and I do think of him, Robin, and Whoopie being three team-mates!
Whoopi does not get emotional like this. Talking about Robin or Patrick Swayze and she will get emotional because of how much they did for her career. Swayze threatened to walk off Ghost if they did not cast her
Whoopi did not lose all that weight on her own she's like Al those other movie stairs ozempic shot
Just like Oprah telling every body she did it on her own then telling every body she did not do it on her own
@@paulastpeter1023 let me guess, you are fat and frustrated 🤣
@@paulastpeter1023eat a lemon you weirdo, that has nothing to do with the video
@@paulastpeter1023 So what?
Robin is sorely missed. I watch Live at the met about twice a year. 😂 Still cracks 😂up.
OMG 😲 😱 I literally 😭 stumbled upon this & stunned it's so overdue and well deserved
Robin Williams was there in spirit but it should have happened while Robin Williams was still alive. Not right right . I hope 🙏 Billy Crystal will host Oscar's 1 more time.
I literally say Billy is a National Treasure anytime somebody brings him up. He's one of my favorites of all time. And I feel exactly the same way about Whoopi! ❤❤❤
Their Comic Relief specials are still hilarious, Robin was a special human, I’m glad we had him as long as we did. ❤
Congratulations Billy ❤ You deserve it. Love You
❤
Love You Whoopi❤
I feel as if the world is a darker place since Robin passed away. The world really needs someone like him. He was my favourite actor, and I miss him all the time.
Billy Crystal is one of those genius, live-wire minds that can host a show and improvise. Always loved him. I don't think I'll almost come to tears when he dies like do with Robin. Robin's energy and genius can't be replaced, ever.
That was an amazing trio
I remember growing up watching them
