I heard Pete Seeger lead the crowd in "Goodnight, Irene" in 1966 or so. Sierra Ferrell's choices among the old tunes are scary disarming...perfect choices. In the old days, for instance, I was lukewarm to the song "Don't Let the Stars Get In Your Eyes" - the vocal lacked the earnest-ness Sierra Ferrell brings to it. Imo. She brings it ... she doesn't leave it on the porch.
