Leon studied classical for 10 yrs, including horns. Born with a cervical disability affecting his right side, leg and hand, hence his cane. He developed his own style. He recorded 430 records, grammys and Church Studios now a museum. Leon is legend, master of space and time. ❤️ 🔥
I LOVE that look Leon gets in his eyes when he hears that great voice of Waylon take extreme ownership of the old Hank song. Then he looks over at Willie and without saying anything they both say everything. Willie smiles and basically what I get from it is "pretty fucking great huh?" Then Leon tugs Waylon's shirt as to say "Hell yeah".
Did leon say snugle or smugle?........ In the intro. Non the less im not the only one who wishes they could get that tanked. Oh well, nothing in van do much for it now. Thanks for this gem.
@@eaglewatcher290 definitely Ron, ha,ha. I'd just been watching Leon & Willie singing jambalaya then Waylon came on to join them, it was all on the same show I think, it was hilarious, but what a "jem" I love it. Things like that just don't happen today plus there aren't any singers around to match them.
Nice share Ron,, I just watched Roy Rogers last movie MACKINTOSH & T.J. and Waylon Jennings provided the music. Do you have the soundtrack of the movie?
@@eaglewatcher290 It sure was Ron, they do not play it on TV. olvinydude sent me the DVD. Here is the trailer .ruclips.net/video/YraPbaOUets/видео.html

Leon has been one of my favorites since the late 1960s. He is a legend, master of space and time.
Two of the greatest artists of all time together on stage, what a classic!

Now I understand why Waylon called him the most expensive harmony singer in the world.
Where's the hole... there's no hole in Willie's g- tar

❤❤ “ terrific “all of them !!!! ❤
That's beautiful!❤
Leadbelly was truly the Bob Dylan of his time
Leon smiled with his eyes only, but very subtle , if he didn’t look like he wanted to kill you, that’s his smile. 😢
The "Weavers" version in 1950 was actually #1 on the charts.
Don’t forget the wonderful sinister origin with Leadbelly!
They can sing that to me every night...
That is a great tune.
Time someone mentioned Leadbelly.
Guess it got to be me ...
So .... LEADBELLY!!
Ry Cooder!
Damn Leon was one sexy hot man so talented ❤😊

Bill Kenner on mandolin. Thanks Otis!
Just watched the video that led me here, good stuff ✌🏻
Leon's just a little bit drunk, bless him...
A little bit?
Leon was never 'a little bit drunk '.
Well, maybe when he got up in the morning.
Hi Ron, just found this one, I love it, but do you think Leon, Willie & Waylon are a bit "high" ?
@Sandra Durham I would bet they were higher than a kite. 😍

@@eaglewatcher290 Leon was drinking a bud
@@mistervacation23 Damn he was. I can't believe I never noticed that before.
Was that Emma Lou!!!
Think that’s Bobbie Nelson , Willie’s sister on the piano - those two recorded all of his hymn albums together
