Marvellous to see a vintage card re-created for those of us outside of the UK. I adore black and white, it makes me think of Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffanys" I laughed at the explanation of the new rings and the same husband, also the 'Bob off" What fun it is to follow along, learn new tricks and have a giggle too!
@@Chrissieannie Anything you create is bound to be new to many, especially those of us who began creating scrapbook albums and have only lately started making cards. ❣
Christine-I always learn so much from your videos! I love the technique of the negative images and using embossing instead of ink to create the image. And learning that I can add fine glitter to my embossing powder is genius! Hats off to you as an artist and as a teacher! Love your videos and am surprised people watch but resist subscribing. 😊
Hi. Stunning cards, I do love a good ol' two-for! Thank you for sharing these and I can see me running amok over the weekend with large stamps, stencils, embossing folders and powders to try out your idea every which way I can think of. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend. 😃
Thanks Deb, we're off to our son's tomorrow for a triple celebration, my birthday, his birthday (which was yesterday) and Cleo's birthday which will be on August 4th! Should be fun! 😊🎂🎂🎂
Thank you! I think I have forgotten more techniques than I remember, the joys of an old brain. Now to rifle through my stamps and find some to play with.
Just simple black and white is really effective and one of my fav "color" combos. That stamp is quite lovely and please thank whoever brought this old card make to your attention once again.
Beautiful Christine! “a bob off” you made me laugh out loud. I am living in Canada, for decades, but Battersea born, and this made me laugh to hear such a colloquial saying from back when. I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials, you are darling!!!
In fact what I said was a BOGOF Buy One Get One Free!🤣🤣🤣🤣not really the correct situation to use the phrase which is probably why you thought I said Bob Off... That might have made more sense! 🤣🤣🤣
i have always love this technique of black and white. I have seen it done with die cuts and love that too. Thanks for sharing this and mixing the powders with glitter so that we can all have a go. Love the finished card on Facebook.
What a great couple of cards. I love the idea of two images joined together on one card. Brilliant. I’m definitely going to give it a go. Thank you for a great tutorial - Dawn 🌅
I don't have this kind of stamp, however i have just got in some stamping foam so will work something out! Thanks for the Saturday morning inspirational fix Christine ❤
I haven't tried this with the stamping foam but I used it to get a negative images for my toilet paper moulding technique so think it should work for this too😁
Such a simple design with a huge impact! I've always loved this look but have never tried it before. I need to see what stamps I have that would work. As always, you make everything look effortless. I did have a chuckle about the rings and the same husband. I'm glad you are with your same husband. LOL Cute! Hugs, Brenda
@@Chrissieannie I love that you will be celebrating your Golden Wedding Anniversary in Dec! I'm envious (but also happy) of everyone who still have their husbands. 💓
Very nice. I will have a go with that. I’ll have to put it on my list you show such amazing techniques Christine I don’t get a chance to keep up lol. Thanks as always for, sharing.
Interesting I’ve done a few of those years ago with that very stamp. I figure I must have seen that magazine, my friend and I always looked at magazines for inspiration. She bought them I got inspiration 😂. So I followed you even then, well I never.

Hello Christine.
Oh ok! My micas are shimmery. Some of my Luscious powders have a little glitter, but they are not truly micas although they do contain mica. There are lots of things which could be tried!😊
Loved this card! Thank you. I’ve been trying to decide on a new paper trimmer for an absolute age now…..seeing you use yours in this made me wonder if this is one you’d recommend over others?
I would never use this trimmer to cut card bases, I always used a guillotine for that but one of these types of trimmers is invaluable for certain cuts, small sentiment panels, cutting into the centre of a piece of card for fancy folds etc. I do like this make, Vaessen, my stamping platform and my scoring board are also the same brand.
@@Chrissieannie thanks for taking the time to reply…I’m going to have to make a decision soon as my Woodware one is desperate for new blades/rubber but they’ve stopped making them
Thank you for the wonderful reminder of an old stamping technique it looks beautiful, such a pretty stamp, must get my stamp out( a different flower to yours) which takes some time to get a decent impression from. Love the card!! Take care.

I’ve used a black gel pen to ‘colour in’ the missing bits and put heat embossing powder straight on! It works! Gel pens are a bit slower to dry…

You can always add mica powder to it for sparkle.
I think mics tends to add shimmer rather than sparkle!
@@Chrissieannie I have some that has little pieces of glitter. So it adds sparkle. Guess it depends on what mica powder you have.
